First Texas Auto Credit is fantastic. They've worked with me and my struggles and never have hassled me about my payments. They have Wonderful customer service and are very understanding when it comes to the financial struggles that people are facing. I am still currently paying off a car and they work hard to make sure that they are professional and courteous with every payment I make. OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I love this place.

This has been a rough year for me with the pandemic and I also broke my leg. Everyone at first Texas auto credit has been outstanding and understanding. There is one in particular that gave the WOW experience. Her name is chass and she is the best customer service representative I have ever dealt with. Well google doesn't like me today, I had this nicely written review for these amazing people, but when I went to go take pictures of my car, it disappeared 😓 I could never say enough amazing things about these tremendous people, especially Kimberly. She made me smile when I called to tell when I'd be making my final payment. She told me I was a wonderful customer and she couldn't believe I had never been late on a payment. I am a avid auto payment user, ha. They're such understanding and courteous people. I am grateful and thankful I discovered them through my car buying journey in Texas. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could, If you're in the DFW area and have no credit like I did or are trying to build your bad credit back up.. these are your people. Without them I'd still be driving and putting tons of money into my previous 2004 Ford Taurus, while it got me where I needed to go, it cost me more than it's value. Now I am the proud owner of a 2013 Ford Focus. The only 2 things besides regular oil changes I've had to do for my car in the past 2 1/2 years are replace the radio, and my dad fixed a piece of plastic holding the lights together. Overall the car runs amazing and the interior was in perfect condition when I bought it. Well worth it's value and more. They truly give you the best car you can possibly have. While helping you build your credit up. Without them I couldn't go into a dealership now and be able to get any car I wanted. I'm more of a old school muscle car girl myself, but the point is I could. The whole point is, if you're looking to get a reliable car at an affordable price, while building or rebuilding your credit, this is the place. I have been a customer with first Texas auto credit since 2018. I have had multiple people make mistakes with my Reoccurring car payment. But one person in Particular Has always made it fast, easy and with more than excellent customer service. You would almost think she was a close friend in the way she handles her customers that person is Megan Huggins. If you ever need something done quick and Efficient ask for her and she will get it done the first time every time.

Due to the pandemic I was finding difficulty finding a job. I was getting worried because my payments were starting to get atleast 2 months behind. I have dealt with many reps at First Texas Auto Credit but, when I first talked with Rachel I felt warmth in my heart and like I had known her for years or something. She has a certain tone about her that makes you feel comfortable and she is compassionate and understanding of the situation. She helped me to come up with a result to help get me caught up on my payments without them having to come get my car. I recently got me a job and I am now fully caught up on my payments and still have my car too. Thank you Rachel! She is awesome!

Kimberly is truly the BEST. I have been with First Auto for a few months and it has been the best, I was having some issues with my transition with my job and they messed up my direct deposit. Kimberly worked with me and allowed me to get my situation straightened out, she did not press me at all. As long as I communicated with her there was no problem. She is very pleasant, professional and UNDERSTANDING. I truly appreciate the fact that she is stern but very compassionate. I would recommend them to anyone. When I first got this vehicle I was military and worked a full time job. I was able to make all of my payments on time and even paid before my due date. The first two years we’re a breeze, last year I was severely ill and was not able to work most of the year. My account manager was Eric at the time. I had such a HORRIBLE experience with this representative. I have prior auto collection experience, and I know his behavior was very inappropriate. He was BEYOND unprofessional and a liar. He threatened to have my car repossessed which you can NOT say to a customer. If you didn’t know finance companies are supposed to disclose that there are free payment options and when I asked about having my processing fee waived I was told that that option was not available for me. I was also not allowed to pay online which is another free option which was probably due to me being past due, but after making payments I still wasn’t granted access to free options. My family members started getting called back to back and requested that I have their numbers removed. When I called to have my family member’s number removed he told me he couldn’t do that. Which is not true. When I was diagnosed with my illness I inquired about an extension, and he told me that they didn’t offer that program. Since I had auto collections experience I knew that was not true, he didn’t bother asking if I had income coming in, financial help, or even bother to probe as to why I was seeking the assistance. I felt as if I was being harassed and belittled every time I spoke with Eric. My experience with him was overall very unpleasant. Since all phone calls are recorded (or supposed to be) I debated on filing a lawsuit due to the FDCPA laws that were broken. There is a difference between AGGRESSIVE collecting and unprofessionalism. My original review was set for 1 star due to my horrible customer service/ collection experience. I decided to give 3 stars because Rachel took over my account. She was a very very very AMAZING collector. She handled my account as I would have when I was a collector. She provided excellent customer service! She was so helpful and it seemed as if she enjoyed helping me. Rachel was never disrespectful, even when I was irritated with the calls she maintained her professionalism. She got her job done with grace, and let me know that she was here to help. Thank you so much for everything Rachel, you beyond appreciated. :)!

I went in to pay my car off and receive my title but was then told I would have to wait 10 days to receive it after I was originally told I would be able to receive it that day. Maria Alvarez was so understanding and apologetic about the misunderstanding and at that point I didn’t care that I had to wait the 10 days. Maria went above and beyond to take care of my payoff and even gave me a $20 gift card to Olive Garden for the misunderstanding. Maria gave great customer service and is a true example of how an employee should treat a customer. Thank you Maria Alvarez and GREAT JOB !!!

I absolutely love First Texas Auto Credit! The person I have to give all the credit to is Kimberly Rojas!! She helped out and bent over backwards for me to make sure I was on the right track . She sat down with me and did a detailed breakdown with me making me feel so much better about everything! Four months into getting my car I changed financial institution which made my paycheck delayed so I had no funds in my account by the time I was supposed to make my car payment. I had my account manager called me the day after interrogating me about my payment being late I told her my situation with my check and my bank she asked me why wasn’t she the first person for me to call and let her know that my payment was going to be late I explained to her I have to be at work by 8:30 So I haven’t had time to call. Her response was why can’t you excuse yourself so you can call me why do I have to call you to find out. Let me remind you this is the day after I was supposed to make my payment not 30 days after and my first time late. Unfortunately for me capital one delayed my funds even more than I expected because my account was a new one. I called my account manager to let her know and what she tells me is that seven days is way too late and she can’t guarantee they will be able to work with me again because my payment is so late then she asked will your next months payment will be on time. Also their portal is on reliable I have tried making a payment online and resetting my password multiple times and still was not able to make a payment. By mistake I paid $.25 short and then I had one of the managers rub it in my face that they had to pay those $.25 for me when I had called back and gave my account information to make the payment. I understand people have a job to do but no I have not had a good customer service it has felt more like debt collector service. *************************************************************************** Thank you so much for taking the time to listen to me. After coming back to work from my maternity leave, It was hard to get back on track with my bills. First Texas allowed me to get an extension on my payment for May so I basically will make that payment at the end of my loan. I just had to sign a form and Megan took care of the rest for me. I'm so thank full because It helped me so much. I appreciate the fact that they took the time to talk to me and to understand the difficult time I was going through.

This pandemic is scary enough these days without worrying about being able to keep up with rent and car payments. It's been a rough 2020 so far. But Rachel at First Texas not only eased my worry about keeping my car, she did it with a grace and generosity I haven't experienced in far too long. Rachel is a stellar individual. I have worked with First Texas for over a year and they are amazing! Lisa is a joy to work with. Always answers the phone and she is quick to help out any way that she can. Highly recommend doing business with them.

I purchased a vehicle in December 2019 and it was financed by First Texas Auto Credit. I made my payments on time until Covid and I fell behind but when I received my unemployment I paid the two payments as well as the late fees, home visit fees, etc... Then I stayed current until unemployment was cut and I contracted Covid and became deathly sick. I went 43 days late. On the 43rd day while I was at my new job they repossessed my car and now they will not allow me to pay the past due balance and bring my account current. Meaghan Huggins told me that she has charged off my account and I will not be able to get my vehicle back unless I pay off my entire balance which she knows I am not able to do right now. I have been told multiple times by Meaghan Huggins (my account rep) that it would not be repossessed until the account reached 60 days delinquent. This woman cannot be trusted!!! It’s the middle of a pandemic and this company has no compassion at all. If you are considering doing business with this company I would think twice.

This place has a fantastic staff and excellent customer service! Rachel in particular is a delightful person to work with here. I would absolutely recommend using FTAC if you are looking for a vehicle currently.

I was in a recent car accident that led to my car getting totaled out on the day that my payment was due. Not only was I still in shock from the Air Bag deploying in my face! but Sick to my stomach, on how am I going to make this payment on a car that is not currently running. "knowing that's my responsibility and I should abide by the contract". I did however get the pleasure of speaking to lovely Kimberly again. not only did she have an amazing amount of compassion for me. but she ask me to hold off on the car payment, and see what the Insurance adjuster says about my vehicle. She calmed me down and made me feel better about this horrible situation i was placed in after that horrific spin around at 7:00am. 2 days later my phone rang right when I was actively stressing and pounding my head over this car payment. Soon as I picked up I heard that familiar beautiful voice once more!!! Kimberly gave me the greatest news I could have ever ask for! she said don't worry about your car payment!! Your loan is getting completely paid off! I was so happy and grateful to hear that and thankful for her hanging there with me and not ever treating me like I'm just some account that's past due. Special people like Kimberly are what make places like these great. Kimberly treated me like a human being and that's something you don't find at other Finance Institutions. So First Texas has quite the wonderful caring staff. Sierra is my loan specialist and I'm so glad to have her handling my loan. Honestly, 1st Texas is a God sent. They truly do give people a second chance while helping them build credit to obtain financing in the future. Kimberly (Kim) is my account manager, and she is also a God sent. She is very helpful, kind, and is another reason that 1st Texas gets five stars from me. If you communicate, be transparent and honest, they will do just about anything to help you succeed. When no other lender would give me a chance, 1st Texas was there to help. When I first opened my loan, I was going through a hard time due to the loss of my mother. I took on her debt after her death and because of that my credit wasn't in the best shape. Kevin Lawson the GM/President of 1st Texas, got on the phone with me at the dealership and asked me why my credit was in the shape it was in. I explained my current situation and he personally decided to approve my loan. He could have sent me to some loan officer que, but he didn't. As busy as he is being the GM/President, he took his time to speak to me and help me through an already tough time/situation. He made sure that I would be set up for success by making sure the vehicle I purchased was reliable and that I could afford the monthly payment based on my current income. He may not even remember me, but I will NEVER forget him. That was 3 years ago and now I'm just a few payments away from paying off my loan, and because of this my credit score has increased by 150 points. Thank you for all that you do 1st Texas! I just want to say Thank You to Kevin Lawson and Mike Gee at First Texas for making my holidays a little brighter! I have been paying on my car for about 2-3 years and have had some financial and unforeseen things happen and so when they came and picked up my vehicle towards the end of my note I was very worried I would lose all my money because I couldn't afford the pay off. If I could rate this place with zero stars I absolutely would. My husband and I had a really good experience with the sales rep he first had until I got transferred to Jason. Who has been nothing but incredibly rude and disrespectful to my husband and I. There is a clear language barrier with my husband and I've had to speak up for him twice because this sales rep feels it's okay to bombard him with questions and make him feel uncomfortable with his passive aggressive comments. To where I finally told him, "I don't care, take this car back" after having him know the situation with our car. I would not ever think about recommending this place to anyone I know. Unbelievable.

I want to express my sincere appreciation for this angel who has gone OVER 100% out of her way to make sure i do not lose my car. Due to the Pandemic I have been unemployed and diligently trying to find employment comparable to my last compensation at my last place of employment. Outstanding customer service, not just there to help, she has passion for her job, pays attention and listen to your necessities and always look for the better way to help you out and serve your needs, beyond any other experience that i had. when ever i called i don’t think i am talking to a representative, i feel i am talking to a family member ! I would highly recommend First Texas Auto Credit to someone in need for assistance with their car loan. Whenever my dealership was not trying to help me when my car broke down. I was falling behind on my car note payment due to it. They told me that it was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that they could do. So, I reached out FTAC and Mr. Terry White was ready and willing to help. He reached out to their companies mechanic and got my car fixed in no time. Also, he helped me with payment arrangements for my behind car note. I really appreciate the customer service I received!!

I've had great experiences with First Texas Auto credit so far, my account manager Rachel is amazing always willing to answer any questions I may have and always makes me feel like part of the family! In July 2019 I was I a car accident and totaled my car. Right before the wreck my insurance had expired and I was not covered. I continued making my monthly payments because I didn’t want it to affect my credit score. A few months later Kimberly from FTAC contacted me to personally thank me for continuing to make my monthly payment. She told me that I was brought up in a company meeting as an example of what an ideal customer was. She also told me since I was such a valued customer, she would work with me to settle on a smaller payoff amount. I really appreciate the friendliness and helpfulness of Kimberly and the rest of FTAC!

I am editing my post to reflect that Jason & I had a great talk our last conversation. We were able to communicate & come up with a better plan for communicating to each other. He really stepped up and gave superior customer service. I would like to add that he also helped me through my situation and helped get my payment date switched since I've changed jobs. When you speak about customer service I can name many people, however today I will only speak on Rachel Wheeler. Ms. Wheeler has been my account manager now for over a year an I am pleased and elated that she is. I can recall when I first started with First Texas Auto Credit it was rough I went through a minor setback and called to ask for a 3 day extension and was told yes I can get it but I better not me late again. Needless to say a month later I received a phone call and to my suprise it was Ms. Wheeler asking if I needed any type of assistance. Over the past few months Ms. Wheeler calls around my payment time to ask if I need assistance with pay and with her charming and sweet voice even with the pandemic I have managed to make my payment even when my mortgage has been due. To the managing Team of Ms. Wheeler I commend you on the training that your company has instituted in Ms. Wheeler, she demonstrates your core values each time we speak. I've gone through First Texas for a couple of years now and they have been great. Elizabeth has been working with me recently and I receive the best customer service and I am taken care of very quickly. If you are running late on a payment they work with you to set up an automatic payment for a later time. All in all I would recommend them to anyone. Keep it up the good work.

I've been with this finance company for almost two years....and each time I've had to call I've been dealt with kindly and professionally! (Except one time....there was one time the woman on the other end sounded like she was having a rough day...but hey we all have those days and that was back in September of 2015.) During the last two years, there have been at least 6 months out of the 22, I've needed some extra grace, patience, and understanding due to a difficult season in my life financially and the staff has been extremely understanding, supportive, and helpful. I actually find myself looking forward to speaking with the staff there! Elizabeth and Terry are especially kind and professional! I would for sure tell anyone I meet about them. The customer service is outstanding!

When I purchased my vehicle I had very few options due to my credit score and having a recent repo. but I needed a vehicle and First Texas Auto Credit gave me a chance. The first two Collection Agents I had when I started the loan in March 2018 were rude, threatening, and lied about nonsense things such as who I'd talk to. I became frustrated so I stopped calling. My 3rd Agent, Eric, I am impressed with and grateful for his understanding and honesty and patience. Because of my previous experience I was a difficult client to work with but Eric was always kind and he communicated with me in a professional calm manner. Thank you Eric for your patients and your determination to make contact with me and deal with my not so friendly conversation at times. I give Eric more then 5 stars for his professionalism .

This place is a blessing in disguise. I was going thru a horrible divorce in 2017 and needed a vehicle badly cause my truck was giving out. With school loans and only one income I thought for sure no one would help me but this place approved me and I was in tears. Not only did I get approved but they have amazing customer service. I talk with Kim all the time and she goes out of her way to help me with any situation that has came up. I'm a single mom and this is the first vehicle I've ever purchased on my own and if it wasnt for FTAC I wouldnt have my car. They work with you on any situation and go above and beyond. I plan on trading my vehicle in within the next few months and I will with no doubt use them again. Kim has given me advice on what to look for and when to look for it. She is absolutely amazing to work with. So if you have any credit problems and think no one will get you into a reliable vehicle call FTAC and they will do everything they can to help you.

I am extremely grateful for First Texas Auto Credit. I've had very unfortunate interactions in the past with a dealership. A few years back Honda Cars of Rockwall sold me a Chevy that was in awful shape and broke down as I was leaving the dealership. They would not help me out besides "trying" to fix it without any luck. They had me return it and stated that it would not affect my credit (which was not true) and had me get into another car which was a Honda. This time the car would break down several times and once leaving me and by children in the summer heat trying to figure out what to do. They "tried" to work on this 2nd car so many times that I even had a loner car but they couldn't figure out what was wrong with the vehicle. Finally, I took the 2nd car to them and didn't know that they were closed on sundays. The car would not turn back on. We had to leave the car there with them and the following day turn in the keys. Due to this misfortune my credit was hit 2 times. After that I didn't trust dealerships from all the tears I had endured. Fast forward some time, I found myself at Five Star Ford and they introduced me to First Texas Auto Credit and I have had such a wonderful experience with them. Working with them has been a blessing and Kimberly has been an absolute delight! She knows the business in and out and her customer service is 110% perfect. There is a book that I read about 15 years ago when I started in the customer service management field and it is called The Raving Fan. In the book they talk about how giving 110% customer service is the root of a good employee. Kimberly wins the Raving Fan award in my book as she connected with me over the phone and showed that she not only cares about the company but also about their clients. Rachael! Rachael!Rachael! She is amazing! I want to say her customer service is excellent but she made my fiance and I feel more like a friend than a customer. Her collection skills are off the scale because she understands life happens and doesn't make things worse by getting nasty with you...but yet she still does her job. Having been in the industry for 10 years, I think she should become a trainer of collection reps. FIRST TEXAS AUTO is amazing because of the people that work for them.
