First State Bank E California St, Gainesville

I’ve had an account with this bank for almost 20 years and only experienced frustration through all of it. It’s perfectly acceptable to put money in but when it comes to wanting to use your own money they treat you like a child having to ask to use it. Their ATM withdrawal limits are awful and the ATM’s seem to be out of order often. Trying to pay your bills online? - if it’s an average amount of money in today’s time you’re gonna have to call first to see if it’s okay. I’ve even had them call me for monitoring how I use my own money in perfectly legal ways and ask me about it simply because they didn’t like it. I would complain about the ATM’s being out of date but they finally caught up with other banks after being behind 10 years. You get a very annoying text message every single time you use your debit card somewhere asking if it was you and if you don’t respond they will lock your card until you do. You wouldn’t think being secure is a bad thing but they take it too far.

I've had more issues with this bank than any other! I gave 2 stars because the staff is friendly. That's it. Very unhappy customer!

This is A FRAUD. Fraud fraud fraud. Listed as Wells Fargo. Charges $3.00 for a legit Wells Fago account. It is listed as Wells Fargo with Google. And I am reporting you to the SEC! Fraud. Bank fraud. For the millions of people that have "navigated" to a Wells Fargo, I am after you!

They are always friendly and prompt to helping.

Not a fan of 300 limit on point of purchase... but my 4 Stat rating still pulls up the confusing 3.6 that I am looking at.

Started as a home town bank and grew into several branches in the north Texas area. I have been a First State Bank customer since 1980. I moved to Sadler ten years ago and am so glad they are opening a branch in Whitesboro. Never a problem with service. Just call and let them know where you are and the debit card works around the world.

They always block mine and my boyfriend's card for no reason after we deposit money. Always having trouble with this business.

I have been an FSB customer for 13 years. Everyone is courteous, friendly and always helpful. I love the Valley View branch!
