First Midwest Bank W Main St, Morris

Heather Beebe is a loan officer at this location and she is ABSOLUTELY fabulous! I recently had the pleasure of having her as my loan officer during a recent refinance experience and will recommend her to anyone I can. As someone who has been in the real estate industry for over 30 years , I have never met a loan officer who is so passionate about her profession. She goes above and beyond and makes her clients priority #1!

This bank for decades was the First National Bank of Morris. Years ago many local small town banks in the area joined together to form the First Midwest Bank. With the merger with Standard Bank in 2016, the number of branch locations around Chicagoland has grown from 110 to 129. The reason that this Bank looks so strange is that the second and third floors were added on top of the original one-story Bank! This is one of the few local banks who still offer full local services for personal and business clients including signature guarantees. By being in a group they can also offer a full range of online services including iPhone and Android apps. The 220 W Main St and 444 Bedford Rd locations in Morris have extended drive-through hours. The Morris branches are staffed by nice people who have been there for years. Good service. J.D. Power consistently rates them as one of the best in the Midwest.

This is the most generous Bank ever! They let us use their large very nice meeting room upstairs for our church to meet in free for a while when we didn't have a building. Also the people who work there are courteous and helpful with your banking business.

Second time this week that I sat in the drive thru for more than 20 mins.

Nice workers in person, but absolutely zero phone support. I had an account issue using the website so I tried calling several times, waited on hold for over 10 minutes each time, tried multiple branches, but I got nothing other than the annoying repetitive hold music and useless advertisements. No one ever answers the phone or their phone system is broken.

Residential loan department leaves something to be desired. She became rude and unprofessional during our process. We refinanced one home and purchased a condo in another state within a few months time and she didn’t show up to either closing. I never met her one time. I would not recommend the loan department.

If you value your money do not do business with this bank. Run.

Doesn't compare to Standard Bank in the slightest. Will be switching to Chase.
