They are the worse mortgage company I have ever dealt with. This is my 4th mortgage I have done in my past life and it's been the worse experience. I choose them because my existing mortgage company told me to call them back in March. Whitney Parks made himself sound like he was an honest guy and would blame every thing on the underwriter and then Jessica Camacho which is another person very unprofessional talking to her. They both told me everything was good to go and my loan was approved to just go ahead and pay my appraisal fee of $875. After waiting for 5 month going back and forth with papers that were supposedly needed. Now I received a letter that my loan was denied. Nether one of them called me and when I try reaching out to them they don't answer their phone. For everyone out there please don't get fooled like I did with this people and this mortgage company. They are the worse!!

Best Mortgage Company we have ever worked with. I have financed and re-refinanced a home through this company and the process was the easiest I have ever been involved with. They are quick and efficient. Their customer service is top notch are very responsive. Their team will work with you one on one thru every step, making the crazy and confusing process of purchasing a home a breeze! I'm sure their entire team is great, but if you want the very best ask to work with Steven Starr and Linh Nguyen!! They will go beyond what is required to make you comfortable, stress free and happy!

DO NOT USE THIS LENDER. I have been working on closing a deal for the last 90+ days with this company. Originally, this was a 45 day closing. They just extended this closing for the 4th time. They have been nothing short of a disaster. Never have I worked with a MORE HORRENDOUS lender. If Zero Stars was an option, that's what I would give First Guaranty Mortgage.

After my wife and I decided to take a chance at getting a new home, after the rent we were paying on our apartment started getting higher than we wanted. We took a chance in this high inflation post pandemic economy, to get a new home. The beginning stages seemed like it would be filled with mostly uncertainty, but our realtor was with us every step of the way, guiding us. The process was easy, and quicker than expected. Heart felt thank you.

Please, please don't ever use this company, this company is the worse company ever. I was told I was preapproved, to refinance my home, and I would have to pay for an appraisal on my home, which would cost me 700.00, I paid the 700.00 for the appraisal. I sent First Guaranty Mortgage the information they asked me for, they then continue to ask for more, and more information. I don't not go through these problems when I purchased my home, now I am out of 700.00 dollars, I feel like I have been scammed. Very sad homeowner. I am a single mother, with two sons, I was taking advantage of by this company.

I highly suggest anyone doing business with this company go elsewhere. I have had the most stressful experience with this lending company. I had everything ready to go ready to purchase my new house and I just needed to sell my current house, I had a buyer and now we are under contract with buying our house and selling and now they have changed the closing date 4 times and keep asking for stupid documents that we have already sent and the underwriter is being a royal pain with no urgency in returning emails and getting this resolved. My sellers moved waiting on us and our buyers our waiting on us. This place is ridiculous. It’s drained me financially and emotionally. Three families are displaced because they can’t be prepared and have all the underwriting resolved before giving us a closing date. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE save your self all this stress. This might be ok if you are in no rush and can wait around for the underwriters to respond.

Don't do any business with the company. The check that i received for my work was not honored. The company filed for bankruptcy in Delaware, saying it had laid off 80% of its employees and stopped making new loans.

I wanted to let you know what an outstanding job Cathy Cooper with First Guaranty Mortgage (Goodmortgage.com) did in packaging our mortgage refinance months ago. I’m not computer literate. Voicemail is about all I can do. In addition, a lot of the needed information was scattered around the house, slowing the process of the loan on my end. From day one to the date of closing, Cathy was there for my wife and me, which was a real confidence builder and she got us a very competitive interest rate, as well. She was outstanding, patient, helpful and all with a great sense of humor. We would recommend her to anyone needing a mortgage or refinance. Respectfully, John S

I cannot say enough great things about my experiences with Steven Starr and Linh Nguyen in the purchase of our new home last year. In order to get our home, we had to have some transitional financing, which made the closing of our new home a little more work than usual, but Steven and his team did a great job communicating throughout the process and were great advocates throughout the process. It was such a great experience, they were the first and only people I sent my son to when he was ready to buy his first home last month.
