First Citizens Bank E Main St, Lincolnton

Have been a customer for years. Customer service is pathetic, at best. Went in to transfer funds into a savings account and could get NO assistance. Was asked if I would like to make an appointment. An appointment? At the bank? I was the only customer in the place. I'm sorry this review requires I give them at least one star. They don't deserve even that.

If I could give them a negative review I would. The people who work their are extremely passive-aggressive. They claim on their website "Forever First® is our commitment to the people, businesses and communities who rely on us to be the best we can be. As we say in our advertising, "Money isn't everything. But so much depends on what you do with your money." This is a bold faced lie! They do NOT help you. They do NOT work with you. They will up and close your account without a warning letter or a way to fix your account, even though they are the ones who had 2 weeks of messed up online banking which showed thousands of people who had the wrong account balance. DO NOT USE OR TRUST THEM. They can't make an app, or run a website. They're a $31 BILLION DOLLAR business that acts like a few overdrafts (even if the account is rectified the next day). STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

I went into bank, which I have been a customer of for years, to pull out some funds. Three tellers, of which one was assisting a client at the drive up window, one was just sitting and talking about personal life, the other just staring at computer. Finally the one at the computer asked to help me, no hi how are you or anything. I provide my slip and ID, teller never said a word to me but talked to colleague and then gave my funds. I had to ask for an envelope and no bye have a nice day or anything. Great way to treat the customers that have money in your bank that helps pay for your job. Good Customer service skills must be a thing of the past???

Asked a teller about changing from my Permeir checking account since I don't need free checks anymore (all paid electronically) and one with a lesser minimum balance requirement (daughter uses this account for college) than a 1000.00 dollars...was told this needs to be reviewed to see what I qualified for...qualified for?....really...been with first citizens for over 20 years in South Carolina, but since moving to North Carolina and having to use this branch...I will be closing my account...qualified for?...really again.
