First Central Credit Union Sanger Ave, Waco

I've been shopping banks lately and was excited for the prospect of a small local bank and the high yield accounts. I was looking to open a new joint checking account, a separate private checking, get an auto loan and possibly a personal line of credit. The girl at the front desk was super nice and helpful. Two days in a row, she was friendly and gave the best service that she could. Unfortunately, the banker I was assigned to to help with my accounts was extremely cold and unhelpful. She hardly spoke to me, didn't ask any questions about what I needed, didn't really answer the questions that I asked and ultimately sent me on my way (by means of silence, where I eventually just got up and left), no closer to any of the goals I'd entered for. I was hoping for a bank to establish a relationship with and was unfortunately shown the opposite treatment here. A bank is still a business and it's important to show clients and prospective clients, that their business is important. I will be taking mine elsewhere, but hope this review helps the bank to improve for their next possible client.

My loan process was quick and seamless. Melanie was SO HELPFUL and quick to respond, and kept me informed of the process. I can't recommend them enough. This is my third loan with them and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you Melanie and team, you guys are rockstars!

Awesome customer service! They go above and beyond! I just financed my second car through them and it was an easy process. I filled out the loan application and within hours I signed papers and was in my new ride. Wouldn't have been possible without them! Thanks again Belinda

Don’t get an account here. They’re happy to take your money but they won’t address any problems that may arise. All phone calls get forwarded to Mildred (Sanger Ave Branch). And with an attitude she just forwards your call to a general voicemail. That voicemail never gets reviewed because no one calls you back. Go somewhere else like Educators CU. I hear they take the time to listen.

Melanie W. was a pleasure to work with when I inquired about refinancing my auto loan. All of my questions were answered very promptly in great detail to save me money. To my surprise, and thanks to technology, she had everything finalized with hours!! I definitely recommend her to assist you in your loan process :)

Very outdated. The staff is rude. I would not recommend this branch. I am glad that my company is not going to move our funds here.

Been with them for over 20 years and never thought they were underhanded till now. They financed a car that had been returned due to problems. They fixed it just enough to last till someone drive off with it. Within 5 days the car was needing $1000. Worth of work... And then they have a hard time about how they could help. I mean 5 days? They going to say you bought it it's yours. Wow I just never knew they could be like that. Now it's been 10 days and the car is back in the shop. Just be very careful about the cars in their lots. Get them checked out.

If I could give 0 stars I would! They pride their self on helping their members which is a lie cause they’re not willing to go the extra mile to help. If you think about getting a car from them I wish you the best of luck you have a better chance at getting a dealership from Franklin to work with you then this credit union.
