This experience was a sad one for us, and this review is hard to write. As first time home buyers we naturally had lot of questions. We talked to many different lenders and eventually decided on Finance of America because of some impressive promises that were made to us. In the end we were overwhelmingly let down when none of those promises were met. We felt strung along, let down, and even received a strongly worded email when we pressed our agent for outstanding unanswered questions. This is a hard review to write because I know the agent we used, Trent Millington, felt like he really put in a good effort. I know that he really feels like he pulled strings and worked all the angles he could for us. In the end, we did get financing for our home, sadly we feel like it was at a much greater cost both emotionally and monetarily, than if we had gone with another lender.

Derrick Frazier was on top of this the whole way through. He was patient with our questions and we felt as though he had oiur best interests at heart. I would strongly recommend Derrick for your mortgage needs.

My wife and I were referred to Jeff by a friend. At first to earn our business he would answer any questions and all calls.. after we said let’s get the ball rolling it was as if we fell of the earth. Both my friend who referred me and myself both canceled our loan after A long painful, disrespectful and poor experience. My wife and I were told to not make our next two mortgage payments, so that’s what we did. Jeff just so happened to forget to tell us we weren’t going to close on the date he said we would and our credit got hit with a late payment and delinquent account. Our credit dropped 100 points for my wife and I. After this happened Jeff ghosted us. I’ve never experienced such horrible business in my entire life. He is nothing but empty promises and horrible communication. I strongly recommend you stay as far away from this bank and loan officer as possible. I also have called the bank and tried reaching other loan officers to which no one seems to be able to answer the phone. Let me save you heart ache.. do not do business with these people.
