I had the unfortunate experince of sending in a check for my electric bill and it not being cashed. I then had to pay double my electric bill for the next month because I assumed it was never received. The check was cashed, I forgot I was having to pay double and only transfered the regular amount. I got a transfer fee. Duke then cashed my original check four days later and I got yet another transfer cost. On top of a late fee which resulted in another charge from my bank. So I had to pay my electric bill three times on top of three late fee charges to my account. I went to my bank, in the past I've gone two times over the past four years of having an account there and they've been reasonable. I got a new young man who told me he used to work in an oil field, that life was tough and he basically didn't care. He basically said 5th 3rd paid him and he was looking out for their intrest over the custumer. What horrible custumer service. If you ever try to get help from this particular bank location , ask if the man has worked in an oil field, if he has your probably wasting your time. I'm pretty sure he was discriminating against me because he had an IU shirt on. Seemed like a Trump supporter.

Long wait due to the staff's inexperience. Sort of unprofessional...

I received a check from someone that was written on this bank. I have my own bank but did not want to deposit it in my own account for fear of it bouncing and me being responsible for the fees. I had to wait 15 minutes for a teller, there were only two other customers in the bank...I had my id ready to give to the teller, the teller told me it would be a 1% fee or $5.00 for cashing the check, well one percent of $300.00 is $3.00 yet he charged me $5. he said which ever was the the greater amount.! He took my drivers license and before he gave me my $ he asked for my phone # and Social security # I asked why he needed this as he still had my drivers licence, he told me in case he needed to contact me because he gave me the wrong amount. WTH?? I told him I suspected he could count as he worked in a bank, and assured him I would recount it in front of him before leaving the bank. What a joke this bank is..no other bank in Btown does this. I still do not know why he needed my social security # . So my advise, goto a real bank!

Sometimes absurdly long waits for simple transactions due to being staffed low. However, they're always friendly and fifth third is a great bank to bank with
