I have used this branch for 9 years now, since it was originally Monroe Bank and when it was merged into Old National Bank. I have found the customer service excellent under both managements (they kept several of the original staffers at this branch after the change) and the online banking program is superb. The lines are generally short and when I have used the branch to send or receive international payments they were friendly and helpful. All banks require you to have an account to utilize their services, so the person who couldn't get change for his $20 is not really making a valid critique.

I was in a bind and needed to get a letter notarized on short notice. They were extremely helpful and courteous. Although I do not bank here, I have a family member that does and they thoroughly enjoy it.

They were awesome back when they were Monroe Bank, before Old National bought them. I tried to stay with them, but when they sent me the packet of policy changes.... yikes.

Old national bank charges $38 PER ITEM you overdraft, and then an additional $8 per day for 16 follorwing days after that. They will let your account say “available balance”, allowing you to withdrawal money from your account, only to come back the next day and hit you with “pending charges” that will cause you to overdraft. If your account is to overdraft from a pending charge that day, after your account said the money was available and allowed you to spend it - you only have until 5pm the same day to deposit electronically into the account, or by the ATM cutoff time at 9pm to deposit cash, before they will start charging you those $38 PER ITEM fee the following day. There are so many better banks in Bloomington that work FOR the people, and not against them. Old national bank works against you in making it unclear why your account will go from available balance to negative with pending charges, they charge an absurd amount of fees, and they are very unkind and unfriendly when you ask for them to work with you in these matters. No other bank I have seen has fees this high nor demeanors this rude. Do yourself a favor and don’t sign an account with this chain of branches.

Run, do not walk from this bank. It has a unique combination of the costs of lack of scale (such as no international service and lack of robust ATM networks) and the most hideous big bank practices (such as hidden fees, and multiplying fees). I had one loan, and paying two days late more than double the payment. For a small, personal service bank People's State Bank is nearby. For a large impersonal bank, with slightly less hideous practices, Chase is down the street.

Oh ho ho, Old National Bank you fools, you thought that we would just simply allow you to obtain the entity without so much as a fight? It is ours and we shall be eating soon. With much love ~ Granny
