I wanted to open a checking account. I figured most businesses would be thrilled to have my money. I’m trying to give them business. They turned me down because I am self employed and wanted to make deposits online from other accounts. They said I was suspicious. I don’t have a criminal record and I have tax documents that prove my income. They totally discriminated against me. I would give this business less than one star if I could. I’ll take my business where they appreciate my money.

Farmers Merchant Bank of Long Beach of California, should be closed down! Their operation is ran like a .99 THRIFT STORE. They are the most unprofessional bank I’ve ever dealt with!!! These folks accused me of closing my business account over the phone; they sent a cashier check to the wrong address, sent my insurance premium to my home address instead of sending it to my insurance company.Which almost caused my insurance to be terminated. time did I request to close my account. They bluntly lied a said I called in and requested to close my account & was told they don’t time stamp incoming phone calls, when some request to close their account! I told several operation managers “I never asked for my account to be closed”. Only to get yelled at about a NSF I asked credit for. This so called branch manager by the name of Joel told me “ You did close your account & If it was me I wouldn’t have giving you NOTHING !” And then he hung up on me! I wouldn’t advise anyone to open an account with this whatever you want to call it! See you in court FMB!

I tried to open a CD account & the bank processing was so slow ,it took 1 to do the paper works. the secretary called me @ home that she needs my signature . OMG THE MOST IMPORTANT PART GOT FORGOTTEN.

Misery loves company. Keep away from this branch.

Don't ever have this bank, the systems that run the mobile apps are HORRIBLE and when you have a problem the people who are suppost to "help" you... NEVER help you.

Worst banking experience. FM Bank cut my employers checks so I was trying to cash my payroll check. They confiscated the check and called the cops on me. I had a valid DL and a passport card with my picture ID on it. 6 cops showed up and I'm in 5ft, 110 lbs (I was also in uniform with my company logo printed on the front). After I was cleared 😡😡... They tried to proceed with cashing the check. I told the teller "FU and this bank".

I financed the purchase of my residence in 2017 with Taneeya Twiligear from the Bixby Knolls office of Farmers and Merchants Bank. In 2019, needing to cash out a bit of my equity, I refinanced again through Ms. Twiligear. I was thoroughly impressed with the extraordinary level of service I received from Ms. Twiligear, both times. From the first moment I inquired about the loan, until the conclusion of the loan, with document signing and funding, Taneeya was available to answer each and every question and concern I had, even if I reached out to her after business hours. She would often go out of her way to explain issues and educate me about the process. She worked hard to streamline the procedure and make it as headache-free for me as possible, making sure the loan closed in record time. For the refinance, she was able to lock my rate, very literally, at the bottom of the interest rate curve, getting me an unbelievably low rate. I have heard the process of getting a home loan compared to getting a root canal. I cannot stress enough how my experience with Farmers and Merchants Bank, Taneeya, and her support staff was diametrically opposed to that. And I cannot stress enough how HAPPY I am with the service I received from Taneeya and her support staff. I VERY HIGHLY recommend her.

Went in to open an account, with Carolina Torres. I’ve never had such a bad experience with a teller. She was rude! Glad I didn’t open an account here.

Very friendly bank especially the security guard he’s so awesome and sweet
