The staff creates a welcoming atmosphere while offering assistance experience even coffee to help make your transaction a positive one . The location is easy to get to and is centrally located . I have been to this particular shop now several times and have grown to trust their expertises. I walk out feeling Confident knowing I got the best deal around . The staff will help you with any questions you may have and you will leave a satisfied customer as I have . This little shop is a gem I highly recommend.

I went in to look around and was treated like family. The store was well maintained and inviting. I was not pressured or hounded into purchasing anything. Unlike a lot of Pawn Shops the prices were very fair. I did purchase a condenser mic in like new condition for about 70% off of retail. Thanks Beautiful Ladies..... P.S. A great place to buy gold and jewelry. Maria was very welcoming and nice and underdstanding. It was my birthday and I walked in and she helped me pick out a chain based on my budget and I walked out happy and with a clean new chain. I highly recommend this place. 5 stars. This pawn shop is awesome! Great prices on items they had for sale and Nery also bought a gold chain from me for a price that I was more than happy with. Overall stellar experience. I will be back and will also highly recommend Express Pawn Shop to my friends and family.

I started going to this place to pawn some of my jewelry a few years ago. I pawn for a few months and then get it back out and then pawn again if something comes up, but I don't intend to sell, I always want to get my jewelry back... it's JUST a loan, so I don't try to get as much as possible, just enough to get me by. When I started going there a guy named Felix worked there and he was so awesome. Very nice, very courteous, great customer service. He's no longer there which sucks but everyone else there is still essentially nice. I like that they are open everyday, they are open later than other pawn shops I've been to and they always have parking. They have longer than most loans. I used to go to a pawn shop downtown and their loan time is only for 3 months, express pawn is for 5 months! I wish Felix still worked there but ultimately I like this place.

I came into this locale in a time of great stress and found out how understanding, kind and patient the staff was! I was surprised I was helped so thoroughly even though some of the workers were busy with other clients (1 in English and another in Spanish). I was serviced by the manager who walked me through the process of pawning and selling some of my jewellery. She helped me feel confident that this was a safe environment for my precious heirlooms. When the transaction was done I left feeling secure! I would highly recommend this place. (Gracias!)

Definitely a good experience at this location, I have been familiar with the express spawn shop chain for a while now and after attending multiple ones in the past this has to be the quickest and most comfortable experience I've had. To begin with the location was convenient and generally nice. I had been looking to potentially pawn/sell a few things and purchase some electronic equipment. The management was superb and actually motivated me to write a review which I rarely do. Thank you to the lovely manager for helping me out smoothly, normally at other locations they do not seem to care as much and communicate with you as well but here it was great. I hope other people experience the same customer satisfaction I did here at the Balboa location.

Came here just looking around, in the mood to buy random stuff for good prices. Well I was sadly disappointed as there was no good prices here. All the electronics where overpriced, as a quick google search would show prices for used items much cheaper for the same thing, often with guarantees. They do have a nice jewelry selection though, while not the cheapest, still drastically cheaper then any mall store. All the employees where very nice and helpful though. They get an A+ on service.

This pawn shop has the best service and best deals in the San Diego area! I love stopping by pawn shops randomly to check out the items and this one by far has the best selection. Ricardo has helped me out and is always very friendly and professional. 5 stars for service and selection!

If I can put zero stars, I definitely would. I went to this pawn shop to evaluate whether a gold chain was real solid gold. Keep in mind, I am a third generation jeweler who has experience for over decades in this business. At the time, I had a customer who wanted to be extra sure he was getting the right chain and that it was real, therefore we were close to this pawn shop and we headed there to prove to him. I already know the chain is REAL SOLID GOLD and is stamped 18k, and I have sold hundreds of the same chain on my online business as well as my actual shop in La Jolla, CA. I was helped by a girl who works there and when she tested out the chain, she claimed that the chain was not real gold. This pawn shop is NOT reliable to evaluate your jewelry nor appraise it. Their inexperience and lack of care made me furious. I decided to write my first ever review on Google in order to help people seeking to evaluate their gold/any other jewelry. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
