Jake Hanks was the loan officer that I worked with and he was able to adapt and handle any situation that we had with our loan and was very willing to work with us on everything. Jake also was readily available and frequently checked in with me to make sure that everything was going well, and as a first time home buyer, guided and helped with home buying concepts new to me. I highly recommend Jake for any home buyers!

My Loan Officer was John Rengers, this man even took the time out of his Sunday on his daughter's birthday to assist me with numbers and send a lender letter to my Agent for a last minute offer while I was in town, that pretty much sums up The Scott Team at Synergy One Lending! As a first time home buyer, I had so many questions for John, and there was always clear, concise, and thorough responses immediately! Perhaps, I had a unique experience but an important one for all future, prospective clients to read. I received a call from Alan Gordon on Sunday afternoon expressing that an additional $15k was required for a Monday morning close, so 0 business hours to prepare/anticipate the change. Alan and team had more than enough time to finalize the loan but due to a lack of professionalism, experience, communication this was not the case. Alan and team continued to try and strong arm me throughout the process giving me less than sufficient time to review and sign off on pertinent documents despite them making changes on the fly to the reverse timeline they put in place. For weeks leading up, I set the expectation that I would be moving across country and wanted the numbers to be finalized prior to the move. This is a toxic organization to work with. They do not have the best interests for their clients, their number one priority/concern is closing deals. When it did come time to close, I had a personal emergency come up and politely asked the Synergy One team to move it back (1) business day which I didn't find to be too tall of a request since they had already fallen way off track with the milestone calendar. Alan chose to berate and patronize me via email showing zero sympathy or empathy in an effort to get the deal done. The ironic part is his wife was in an accident days prior and he wasn't available. I told Alan it was no big deal and to reach out once he knew his wife was ok. Afterwards, I felt this was important to bring to Alan's manager's attention, Ryan Pilgrim, in which I never received a response.

Our loan officer Jake Hanks was so great and easy to work with. He made the process less stressful and had amazing communication. Highly recommend!

We first tried to work with other recommended lenders for our unique purchasing situation, but they either didn’t know what to do, made it too complicated, or just didn’t want to take us on. However having someone of Alan's caliber to provide thoughtful answers (and patience!) to a first time buyer's endless questions, insights on future market changes, and his personal advice was unbelievably helpful.
