Empower Federal Credit Union Genesee St, Utica

Do not waste your time with this credit union. Yes you will get approved for a car loan, but their customer service is awful. I've been waiting a year now to finish setting up a full bank account with them, but they fired the woman who was helping me and didn't bother assigning a new worker. It's been over a year now and I'm still waiting (even with multiple attempts on my end yo complete this).

I've been a member for 11 years, but that's going to end. I'm trying to get help with what should be a simple request and I'm getting zero cooperation. Their customer service is the worst. It is impossible to reach them.

Absolutely horrible, out of service ATM half way through my transaction, didn't even eat and shred my card like they said an ATM would do. Now anyone can see my numbers and screw up my account. Had to cancel card and lose access to my bank for a month. Absolutely horrible bank

The entire office has always been exceptional in helping me with my banking needs. I love this branch and will continue to do my banking business with them!

Horrible Service one of the most unpleasant and unprofessional banks i have ever dealt with. The Atm rarely works they are aware of it yet it continuously happens. If you need to get ahold of them for anything your best bet is to go in because it is impossible to ever get ahold of somebody on the phone anymore they don't answer the phone the automated recording says its up to a 10 minute wait puts you on hold for 20 minutes and disconnects. The staff is unknowledgeable and unprofessional one of the worst Banks I have ever dealt with lady at the drive-thru will make you wait there until she's ready to acknowledge that you're there sat there for about 5 minutes getting ignored while she was staring right at me making me late for my appointment I would not recommend this bank to anybody will also be putting a review on Better Business Bureau if you look at previous reviews numerous amounts of people have had the same experience

Worst bank when it comes to making payments through the phone. Besides waiting almost over 10 minutes for someone to pickup one person says you can make the payment while the next person you get transferred to says they can’t get into your account although they’ve done it before. Such a hassle for everything. Every time I try to make a payment there’s an issue.

To my surprise i am very happy with this place. Really close to my house they have an ATM that does cash deposits so I don't have to deal with a person also my safety deposit box they're only cost me $20..............A FRICKIN YEAR!! AMAZING

I love banking with Empower. I've had just about all of my children open accts there as well. I have two younger boys to go. I may open their accts while they're still young. Thanks EFU for such outstanding & friendly service in the Utica, NY branch.
