SCAM!!! We were going through them since June and come December they say I need a whole land survey when they told me in the first place I just needed the distance between the septic to the well. (They lied about that). So when they tell me I need the whole land survey done it is only a few weeks out before my appraisal expired. So here it was January and now I just wasted all my time, money and stress getting everything ready for this refinance my appraisal is expired and now we can't do anything. I asked for a refund for my appraisal since it was their fault but they are not wanting to help. I had a hard time reaching them or them returning my calls. It was a very long and stressful process and still didn't even get the refinance done. SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!!!!!!

Scammers just out to get your money. Just wasted 6 months now looking for a new lender. Never ever recommend this company to anyone.

We have been working with eLend for 6 months. They had staffing issues, changed people 3 times and still no resolution. Absolutely a waste of time. Find a reputable lender stay away from eLend. Their cost increased from 14k to 28k these people are scammers

Have now refinanced with Chris Guerin and the e-Lend team on 2 separate occasions. The first transaction was high touch from a service standpoint and light lifting from a consumer standpoint. The e-Lend process is well refined and even “fun” at times. Getting the real time visibility into your loan being processed and moved to the next stage is incredibly helpful and removes any stress or uncertainty. The second transaction we a breeze! E-Lend has certainly optimized its process for repeat customers. The lifting on my end was almost non-existent and all borrower and underwriting conditions satisfied in about a week. This was the easiest and fastest refi I have completed in the history of all my personal transactions. It was painless! Not to mention rates and closing costs were as competitive as they come.

Very prompt and courteous service. In comparing services, ELend's team had already quoted and locked in a rate, and I had submitted half of needed documents online before two other companies could even get me a quote back. Ive already recommended Elend to a coworker, the first week after I started my own loan and he's expecting to close on his loan next week. Adam and Bethany were great!

Very pleased! Smooth process from initial quote through closing (a shade over 30 days). Excellent online dashboard made it easy to keep on top of any required documentation and status at every step of the way. Very friendly, incredibly responsive, reps. Due to an appraisal that dragged a bit (not their fault) and heavy volume, we missed our lock by a few days, but they made good on the rate anyway. I'd refinance with these folks without even flinching!

I Refinanced our home using E-Lend. Interest rate was well below what others were offering. Duane, my loan rep. was, friendly, personal, professional. When things got rolling Dawn, the processor made sure underwriters had all the necessary documentation. She really new her game, was organized and extremely helpful all throughout the process. The loan closed ahead of schedule with no problems. I was on vacation, and thought the closing would be delayed, but they sent a notary with the loan and escrow docs to my resort for the signing. What convenience! Overall experience is a 10!!! Couldn't give a higher recommendation.

After exhaustive research eLend offered the best terms with the best rate. I had an excellent experience. I expect to see this company in the top ten lists before long. Initially I was cautious, even suspicious, because their terms were so much better than everyone else. I was extra lucky. I got Bill Carroll (William J.) and he is my go to guy now. He walked me through the process step by step. When I asked him to show me that eLend really was offering those terms, he sent me documentation. Responses were always quick and helpful. I was able to take photos of documents and post them. I never had to leave my house. Jason Salazar, the loan officer, kept on top of things. We went down to the wire bc of the underwriters, but Jason really worked it so we closed on time. At closing, they even sent a notary to my house out in the middle of nowhere. My suggestion. If things aren’t going well, try to get a different Loan Originator. It can make all the difference. You need someone you can communicate well with. .

These guy/gals are awesome!!! Craig was the first person I dealt with. Extremely helpful and kept up communication with me! I will never forget what he said, "You will get this house by hook or by crook!" Great guy!!! Once I was in the underwriter stage Lorraine Burke was awesome!!! So down to earth, and matter of fact!! This Lady is an amazing guide if you are not going through a Real Estate agent. (I would get an agent just to make her job easier though. Craig's job too!) I highly recommend them!!

Highly disorganized, terrible communication, a lot of last minute requests, no sense of urgency. We eventually closed, but the process was driving me crazy. I would not use this company again.

Found the best rate through eLend and ended up closing a Refinance (30 year to 15 year) with them (a little later than the rate expiration date). Only giving 3 stars given the poor service and communication received. Communication was slow, unclear and several times inaccurate. It got to the point where I was driving the process rather than the processors to close on time. Point of contacts constantly out of office at inopportune times (I think just about every Friday there was at least one contact out of office) which increased the delay. Delays ended up costing me quite a bit more in closing costs. Contacts mostly did not respond until the end of their day and rarely confirmed receipt of emails and materials without being prompted. Felt lost many times due to the lack of communication and I knew a decent amount about the financing process. Had to be escalated to a team lead after sending a complaint to their general servicing inbox, which is when I feel things started to turn around slightly. A couple other notes: eLend just sets up the loan and sells it to another bank to service it (common practice). Actual name of the company is 'American Financial Resources, Inc.' Recommended for good rate only if you are willing to suffer through the less than ideal service and take ownership of a lot of the follow up and urgency. Also, check their work.

We are so grateful that we worked with eLEND for our mortgage. Not only were we given a great rate, but the team that assisted us throughout the whole process was awesome! Chris, Erika and Jessica made everyhing easy and worry free. Their communication was phenomenal. We will be recommending eLEND to all our friends!

Just helping with a gift letter for someone... will never use this company. What a pain in the arse they are with their requirements. Will never finance anything with these people. EVER. They also don't accept online financial records making their requirement process completely unattainable in a timely fashion. If you don't want a headache... don't use these people to finance your home. Go through your local bank. You'll get a better rate and much better customer service.
