Electronic Payment Systems, LLC Reviews

Haven't had service for over two years. Noticed they were still drawing money from my account. Called to cancel and they said I had to be outside 90 days of annual contract to cancel, which of course I was not. Now they want another 14 months of premium from me even though Im getting no service. Extremely rude, unprofessional- drew over $800 out of my account without permission for "buyout". STAY AWAY! BUYER BEWARE!

We have been with EPS for several years and have had a good relationship with them. Their customer support team is very helpful...especially have had a good experience dealing with Makaila . She has been very helpful dealing with our equipment issues. We run a one time large amount through and they are good at spot checking (which I appreciate). I would recommend them.

I have been using EPS for so many years I do not recall exactly when our working relationship began.. maybe 10 years ago? The service is excellent.. I have someone to speak with on the phone within a minute or two every time I have needed to call to ask a question or inquire about a process. Unlike using different search engines, or which anti-virus software to purchase there is no second guessing with EPS. With EPS you know business is handled properly and monies are deposited in your account within two days.. that is fast and accurate. Worth every penny ..

Be careful to read the small print on the no credit check program. We weren't told that there are instances where they will not pay you (the business) on accounts that they approved. We believed that because they approved the transactions we were covered. Not so.. We missed out on over $10,000 from customers that they approved on their program, and never paid, that we will never see. I swallowed my pride as I was able to look into the contract and they were contractually correct, however, they have now nickel and dimed me for the last year as I was 1 month over when I needed to cancel our contract and it renewed for another year. I will end up paying them $1,159 in dues, though I do not use their services any longer. Shame on me for taking a salesman (who happened to be one of the owners) word, that they will cover all of their approved customers transactions. I believe that EPS probably started as a reputable company, however, I do not believe that anymore. Brandon

I don't like any credit card processor, but EPS has saved us substantial funds, they are easy to contact and get questions answered and so far, no competitor has offered a better rate! A good experience for several years now.

LOOK AT ALL REVIEWS BEFORE SIGNING! Be careful; save yourself some time, money, and headaches! I have used 4 credit companies in the 30 year length of time in business and have never dealt with so many fees. I realize a lot of this is my fault for not paying attention, but it was not made clear to me, either. Once you give them your bank information, expect to see multiple monthly charges that you were not made aware of. In addition to the usual percentage, this company has a monthly $9.95 "warranty" fee, $10 a month admin fee, $25 monthly minimum fee (if you have a slow month and don't take any payments), arbitrary $7.50 merchant location fees, yearly fees, compliance fees, and 89.95 EMV fee... I am overwhelmed by their fees. Worst thing, though, if they set you up with First Data Global Leasing, you will be leasing a $300 terminal for ONLY $89.70 a month and even though you only signed a 2 year contract with EPS, you discover your term with FDGL is 4 years!!! I just paid $2000 to get out of the remainder of my contract and I had to mail back the terminal. What a sham. On top of that, FDGL will charge you an additional insurance fee if you can't provide a certificate of insurance stating the $300 piece of equipment is covered by your business insurance. It took me 3 months and $30 to get them to accept my home owners insurance for it since our office is in our basement, and our business liability would not provide a certificate. I did not feel that any of this was made clear at the beginning. All the salesman kept pushing was how low the interest rates were. I am so glad to be done with these two companies. I was willing to pay nearly $2500 just to get away!
Before you sign a Merchant Application with EPS, we recommend going to our website and reviewing the document in its entirety. This enables you to enlarge any small print in the contract so that it is easily legible. Also, the application contains all of the monthly and annual fees necessary to maintain a merchant account with EPS. https://eps-na.com/about/merchant-application When you first sign on with EPS, one of our customer service team members will walk through your contract with you, covering every detail, answering every question you may have. When we're done, you'll understand, in as much depth as you want, your contract term provisions, and options, and you'll have the right expectations for what you'll see on your first statement. https://eps-na.com/customer-service You need equipment to be able to accept credit cards as payment for your goods or services. Whether you're a single location, single cash register business requiring just one counter-top terminal, or a multi-site, multi-location business in need of many countertop terminals, a few mobile terminals, or a full POS system, you need the equipment to make it all work. Should you lease or should you buy? The answer to this question is not simple because it depends on many factors that only you know. Do you have the cash flow to support purchasing your terminals outright? Will you receive tax benefits to leasing that are better than the tax benefits of purchasing or vice-versa? Would monthly payments be more convenient for ou to manage? If you purchase equipment what is your terminal warranty or do they even have one? Be very clear on this, as an outage will cause a disruption to your business, and many manufacturers warranties are not set up to minimize those outages. Does leasing cost more? Yes, it does. Over the life of your lease, you will pay more than you would have paid had you simply paid cash up front for the terminals you need. This is not unusual - most things cost more when you pay for them over time versus purchasing outright. Leasing is offered as a convenience to merchants much like car leasing is offered as an alternative to purchasing, and, let's be frank here, much like the credit industry, including credit cards, allows people to "pay on time" for things that don't make sense, or aren't affordable, to purchase outright.

My business was closed due to COVID19 After 10 years of being a faithful customer. EPS continued to charge me monthly for maintenance fee and admin fee for services that were not needed. I called to explain the situation. They said there was nothing they could do and we had to pay until the contract was up. Unfortunately, the contract auto renews every year. So I am stuck paying $35 a month for nothing. Terrible customer service during this pandemic.

I've been using EPS for a little over a year now and I have had no serious concerns. I switched from the processor I had through Costco and I got better rates. Most reviews of CC processors are pretty negative, but I have to say EPS has been great to work with. And absolutely NO complaints about the customer service. I've worked with Makaila and Blake and these are top notch people!
Thank you for the feedback Kevin. It's our pleasure doing business with you.

EPS is a good company. The rates they offer beat most other companies rates, which is a plus. The only thing that I can see that needs improvement is allowing the customer to have account access via the internet. It is really annoying that you have to wait on hold to get a resolution while also trying to maintain the day to day activities of a business. On a scale from 1 to 10, with 10 being the best, I would rate them an 8.

Never a single problem with credits, balances, or amounts. Never a delay in processing. No hidden fees. The overall rate on cards is very good. No problem reaching them by phone whenever I need them. All in all, I don't see how you can get a better rate, reliability, or service than EPS.

We used EPS to help facilitate CC sales for our City celebration. As this was a new realm for us, we had a couple of bumps in the beginning, but ended up getting it all figured out. Pleased to have had interactions with Larry whose customer service is above and beyond. The reporting sites to view sales, etc. were also user-friendly.
