We partnered with the Rome Realty Team, led by Emily Rome Welter in our case, to both sell our old house and purchase our new house. When we decided to sell, Emily and Jan came by to give us a detailed report of what needed to be done to each room of the house to make sure it was ready for showings. This was very useful for us and took away a lot of anxiety. Once we listed, we had 10+ showings the first day and multiple offers. They walked us through each offer and presented the pros and cons of each. On the purchase of the new house, we ran into a large complication due to the type of offer we submitted (contingent on selling the previous house), but Emily was able to navigate the complication in a shortened time frame and everything worked out in the end. We truly believe and very confident that had we used a different, less experienced realtor, we would not have been able to complete the purchase of the new home. Emily was always available for questions, easy to get a hold of, and rearranged her schedule when needed for the signing of important documents. They also allowed us to use their moving van on multiple occasions, which was very useful. We love our new house and have no plans to move again, but we will absolutely recommend Emily and the Rome Realty Team to any friends or family in need.

The process leading up to closing and the closing itself went really well. However, it wasn't until months after my closing (seriously, I closed in the end of July and got notified in October) that I realized there were problems. My insurance company was claiming they never got paid. At first I thought they'd lost the payment and went through many calls trying to locate it. However, a month and a half later we realized that my payment had been sent to the WRONG insurance company. My insurance policy closed due to non-payment and I had to open a new policy. I'm still waiting on a refund from my original policy. Triple check details when working with Edina Realty. I would not recommend them.

Beware of shady tactics here. They will try to bait n switch you wherever possible. They lie about whats covered and whats charged for in the HSA warranty, they lie about association fees being covered in your trust account, they change numbers last minute and dont discuss or send you documents in advance, the list goes on. They will say anything to close the sale, but when youre in the high pressure signing room or after close they will rip the rug from under you and youre left to pick up the pieces. Theyre nice up front, and shady behind the curtains. Will never use them again and neither should you.

The best realtors around. Hands down. They care more about you than their commission and you will feel that from the start.
