EcoSun Homes Design Studio - Palm Bay Georgia St, Palm Bay

I had several pleasant conversations with Gary from the Palm Bay studio before moving to the area. Gary was always polite, informative, funny, and warm. Although actually moving took some time, I finally secured a job and a temporary home in the area. I visited and spoke to many other builders. None of them offer a build with as many features as Eco Sun. Many of the representatives at other builders are stressed out and worried about shortages, lack of materials, and delays. Gary and Ted, however, we’re confident about being able to deliver a quality home in a reasonable amount of time. I had a wonderful first in person meeting and look forward to a great home building partnership!

Buying a house was very difficult for us until we got in touch with these exceptionally skilled people. They showed us the best properties as per our requirements and budget. We had already visited those areas but still couldn't find those houses until we connected with these people. So we recommend all use their excellent services.

My wife and I, out of town buyers, made a visit to Palm Bay two years before we moved. Working with Jim from beginning to end has been great. We had plenty of questions before we placed our deposit and even more questions before and during construction. Jim has been very patient working with us. Rob took pictures of the construction at various stages for us and receiving them via e-mails was always a delight. It was almost as good as being here in Palm Bay. Very much appreciated.
My wife and I purchased the Veneto model and are very pleased with the floor plan. Only one of us was able to make the trip to finalize the selections that we picked out during our prior trip. Ted was very patient and knowledgeable helping me materialize the selections. Ted also got his share of e-mailed questions that were quickly responded to.
All in all a great experience.

This review supersedes the original review. So…days after this review I learned that EcoSun sent an addendum adding $8,500 to the price of the home I signed a contract to build. Then I looked at their better business bureau profile. Echosun received an F. Guess why? Raising prices. One even talked about having a surprise $20,000 on the way to closing. Since it takes 14 months to build one of these homes, imagine how much the price could go up. When questioned about this, Gary said oh I made a mistake on the original price- but what’s another $8500? He seemed genuinely shocked that someone would leave the deal simply because they raised the price overnight -Without mention to the buyer or to the real estate agent. I have not received my $500 back from this organization. The contract says that if you cancel you receive at least that back. Ha read those reviews guys. These seem to be beautiful homes but if you’re paying much more than you even expected, it doesn’t seem worth it. And short this company is not reputable.

I really appreciate everything that you’ve done to try to make the process as painless as possible. I’m very excited about building my new home.

We admired these houses and looked at some around our neighborhood when they started popping up. Everyone we talked to said the houses were amazing and that the builder did a great job. So we took the plunge right before the housing boom. First, our sales guy lied to us on multiple occasions as to where the progress of our house was. We were supposed to be in by April but didn't get in until December. We did a walkthrough a week before close only to find that the day of closing nothing that we pointed out and put blue tape on was fixed. The house wasn't even cleaned and the tile looked awful. We were told we had 30 days to find all the things that needed to be fixed and we would be taken care of. We have a 3 page list where only 2 items have been taken care of. We keep reaching out and just now were told sorry but now you have to go through home warranty. These people are either too overwhelmed with all the houses they're putting up or they just no longer care about customer service because this has been the worse experience of home buying I've ever dealt with. They have constantly lied to us and won't fix the house on top of the fact that they are missing stuff in our house as well. Be careful if you go with them. They don't care about you just in selling and make sure your contractor knows what he's doing because ours didn't give a damn and we see it in the product of our house. I can post lots of photos if you choose to argue with me Ecosun.

Be careful of what they are telling you I was told if they terminate the contract you will receive your earnest money , well they terminate my contract since September 19 2021 and I am still waiting on my earnest deposit check . The person I was dealing with in the Palm Bay office is Ted whenever I call I was always told I have to send an email to accounting which I did numerous times I only received one response on January 21 stating that they are reviewing my refund it's been 3 months now and still thing so lady's and Gentlemen please be careful.

I'll start off by sharing that I've been living in my Trentino home by EcoSun for over a year and a half now. Beautiful home. Although, within the time I've been living in the home, I have had several issues with the home, issues that could be easily taken care of under their 2-10 warranty program that they heavily explain and advertise before you purchase your ecosun home. I filed my first warranty claim several months ago, which took MONTHS to have anybody come out to look at anything. I had a list of a few thing that needed to be addressed, and only 2 things really did get addressed out of 6. I would have somebody randomly show up to look at a problem, then never come back. I would have to call over and over regarding my warranty claim, and would never receive any follow ups. I ended up having to file a separate claim/complaint through the state of Florida in order to put a fire under them so that they would start acting. This was months into my claim being placed. I recently filed a second claim regarding one thing that wasn't addressed, and my A/C not routing air into one of the bedrooms. I found out that ecosun had literally stated they had completed EVERY claim that I had originally placed on my first warranty claim, which is completely untrue and dishonest. I've had large sections of soffits come completely undone/fall off. Kitchen cabinets that completely fell apart in structure from within (which has not been taken care of), A/C recently not working in one of the bedrooms (I have called about 4 times now, with no follow up to my problems). My soffits were not taken care of until my fiance left a similar review, explaining that our soffits had been hanging off for months, and had not been addressed. It wasn't until then we got a call from ecosun. Part of me is hoping that someone in their office will see this to make things right. So far, their post-customer service/warranty department, is BY FAR, the worst I have ever experienced, from any company I have ever engaged with.

Signed contract to build home almost a year ago. Got approved for conditional approval from bank picked out lot haven't heard from anyone since. I made contact once was told they would be doing some permitting for the lot and would take 3 months. So about 9 months later after a few attempts to reach out have had absolutely no update or even a simple email text or phone call, but sure was on the ball when I was going through the process.

They were quick to pick up my call and send the workers next day. Project was completed within 25 days. I really like their work, will definitely recommend it.

We are so happy to have chosen EcoSun for building our first home. We are thoroughly impressed by their attention to detail and design choices.

My realtor and I met Ted at the Palm Bay studio. He was so welcoming and hospitable, offering us coffee and cold beverages from the refrigerator on display. He was very informative, and answered all our questions and concerns. We did sign a contract to purchase a home after going to see it. Thank you Ted for a wonderful experience. Can’t wait to move in my new home.

Ecosun Homes built me an amazing home! I had never built home before and was a bit nervous, but they made the experience very easy and fun. I would definitely recommend them! Their attention to detail, customer service, and willingness to make things right when I was not satisfied with something, made this journey very pleasant. Was everything about the process problem free? Absolutely not, BUT, when a company will bend over backwards to make it right.....you know you have a winner! There's nothing more you could ask for! I will always recommend them and will never use another builder for any future homes! Thank you Ecosun for exceeding my expectations for my home!

The place was crowded, but the sales rep who helped us as soon she could was worth waiting around for. We had driven about 50 minutes to get there so I'm glad. Beautiful house! Nice for plans. So the service to this point was 5-star.

I would like to let everyone know that we love working with Gary. He is the best. He has made this whole experience so enjoyable. He is very professional, responsive, and personable. I really feel like he cares about us and our needs. By far the best that I have ever worked with.

I hope this post saves the next first time home buyer their $1000 deposit. When using Eco Sons home to build new construction their cheapest model is the Calabria A series, you have to use their lender when using the FHA. With a 3.5% down payment which is $10,600. With good credit your monthly payment is $2027 a month. You cannot get a straight answer on how much your monthly payment will be until you pay your deposit. That $2027 payment would be 37% of our net monthly income. Which they said we SHOUlD be able to afford.... so if you can't afford $2027 for a 1200 Sq foot home don't do business with them. They have an excellent racket going on with the lender they force you to use. No one should have to pay $1000 to find out how much a house is going to cost.

I was looking to purchase a home in Florida and came across this company spoke to Ted Ferrer. He presented a very good plan indicated we had the green light and we proceeded to give them a $1,000.00 deposit to start the process of buying the land to build a home. Ultimately we did not qualified for a Mortgage. We have been waiting over 6 moths for the refund of $1,000.00 they don't answer the phone of emails. This company they are not responsible and probably a bunch of crooks. Buyer be ware.

My daughter and son-in-law signed the contract back in September of 2021. Here it is June of 2022 and nothing has been done towards building of their house. They have attempted multiple times to get some kind of update. No one seems to answer the phone or return emails. There hasn't been any updates provided to them as far as what status is going on with their house. Once they did finally get a call back last week it was told to them that Ecosun might be able to pull the permits in 2 to 3 months and definitely wouldn't start building anything for at least 6 more months so that they would be looking at some time in 2023 before their house would get done. I understand that there is a lot of construction and potentially some shortages going on right now. But 2 years to have a house built by a builder and not a specially designed project is a little ridiculous. Needless to say they have canceled their contact and have decided to go with a different builder that has a lot cleared and permits ready and estimates their house will be up and ready to move into either by December of this year or January of next year. Really think about how soon you want to move into a houseif you are considering this builder. Their concept is great with the eco-friendly homes and the solar panels but it doesn't matter how great your idea is if you can't deliver.

The staff at Ecosun has been exceptional! Starting with our first contact when we initially inquired, Ted was quick to answer all questions we had about the model we decided on. He was very patient in getting us the right information and helping us find the right choices and floorplan for our new home.

We even had the opportunity to speak with RubiAkooka who leads all these great people in sharing his passion. Rubi took time to make sure we had all of our questions answered and that we were comfortable with doing business with Ecosun homes.
 Our last meeting was with our Construction Manager, Oscar knowledge of construction and eye for detail has made us feel comfortable in knowing that we don’t have to worry about Ecosun building a superior home and doing the right thing. He is super personable as is the entire staff.

My husband and I are currently building a home with Ecosun. Construction was delayed due to material shortages but Paul Cairney. have done everything in their power to ensure our home is completed ASAP. We are almost at the finish line and we are so happy we chose Ecosun. They are the best - from their quality of work to their materials and to their staff. They have been great at walking us through the process considering this is our first home.
