Banking with Dollar Savings Direct for more than 10 years and all has been without any difficulty. Interest rate is among the best for basic savings, and logon / site navigation and provided documents are simple. Tax information , transaction history, linking outside accounts for funds transfers in and out. Remember to allow a day or two for transfers to be verified available. Also, I have not had to call or contact for customer service, so I can not speak to that.

This savings account was good at 1.80% but other banks are paying 2% up to 2.25%. They make it extremely difficult to link accounts. They Denied my attempting to link an outside account to them. You're only allowed 2 checking accounts and if you want to change accounts it's a long drawn out BS process. Don't bank with these people, I just sold some property and have six other bank accounts to spread out my money to keep within the FDIC insured limits and this bank is the worst one to do business with.

So far, so good. I’ve only had the account for a little less than a month now, but am pleased to find such a high interest rate with no fees. There was no problem pulling the initial deposit from my checking account at a credit union, nor was there any trouble with a second transfer from the same outside account.

Simple & easy. Been using these guys for years without a problem. Money in, money out, 3 days max to transfer funds. Its a simple savings and I get my interest every month. All the other reviews just seem to be complainers. It's a SAVINGS account, not something you should be accessing and moving money around with constantly. Try and find another bank with these high interest rates and no fees.

I tried to set up an account with them but Dollar Savings cannot figure out a way to pull money from my credit union. They require you to send a bank statement and voided check to set it up. How about moving to the 20th century? I will find somewhere else to put my money; I would not trust them with mine.

I was with Dollar Savings Direct, and My Savings Direct, and I never had a problem with neither. If you want to ask a live person a question, you can call them, and they are very nice and very helpful, I just wish their rate would go up because I would go back to them. The website is easy to navigate, I really liked doing business with them, but their interest rate is too low.

This is the only bank I know that requires someone to use a checking account only for all ACH transfers. You can add a second checking account for ACH use only by mailing them a form and waiting for them to process it. The only wire transfer they will allow is also to your designated checking account. They obviously do not find customer satisfaction to be a priority and find their own preferences to be more important. I'm looking to move my funds to a bank that is customer friendly. Their unreasonable restrictions indicate that they have lost sight of the fact that money deposited into the account belongs to the deposit holder and not to them.

I recently opened up a savings account in September. The setup was somewhat of an old school process. However after waiting 2 days for them to set up the account manually it is working out fine. ACH deposits can come from any type of account. They just need routing and account number. I do believe you have to specify checking however I gave then my saving account info.

The interest rate is the only good thing about dollar savings. Logging on to the online account is near impossible and it will not work with any auto aggregate programs. Why other online banks work fine but dollar savings cannot is disturbing This makes dealing with dollar aggravating so if the rate drops there is absolutely no reason to have an account there unless they can hire some security people that have at least a small amount of intelligence and skill or is not a compleat idiot .

I've had my account for many years. Pays a good rate. Never had a problem with electronic deposits or withdrawals and tax forms always available on time. The website may not look like much but it's easy to navigate and always works.
