My experience with Ditech has been very good. I just recently bought a house and they were the company that got my mortgage. I have been using their website to review & pay my mortgage. I must say the website and your account statement are very easy to use very well laid out. I also had to call customer service for a question I had. The woman i spoke with was very helpful and polite. She took the time to answer my questions and made sure i understood her answer. Thank you Ditech keep up the good work!!!!

I had an amazing experience with Ditech! My mortgage specialist remained readily available and fully knowledgeable throughout the entire process. All other representatives were great to work with as well and very helpful! I received great results and was pleasantly surprised that we will be saving more money than expected by consolidating and refinancing our mortgage. They offered consultative guidance to ensure I received the best service and to select the best plan for us. I felt comfortable and secure and will surely be recommending Ditech to others!

I went to refinance my home, I initially went to a competitor to get a quote. I got a phone call from ditech seeing what they could do. First they gave me a better rate then the competitors and my goal was to remove my PMI which they were able to do. They were great through out the entire process, they took so much weight off my shoulders. They were great and not pushy, they gave me a lay out of options and the benefits and took the time to explain everything to me, even sending the notary to my home to sign the documents. From start to finish they were great 👍

"the service is just above all expectations every single time." - I have been a ditch customer for years and have always appreciated their expedited service and the efficient manner they operate. Now to be fair I haven't been with any other lenders for years so all I know is ditech, except 1 time. Our first experience was with Wells Fargo and I can honestly say everything always took a long time and even my initiating calls to illicit a call back or update. Ditech on the other has "always" been there with follow-ups links and easy directions on their loan doc process. It can't get any easier and if it does then ditech will be at the forefront doing it. I do t understand why the rating reviews are so low. I will say all it takes is one call to miss and it will be misconstrued as bad service. Believe me you will not be dissatisfied!

Over past several years I've telephoned Ditech only a few times with various questions regarding my account. While I don't remember the exact nature of those questions, I do remember how the calls were always handled with Ditech's reps. Every call was a good experience, and left good impressions (if not, I would most definitely have remembered them). Let's put it this way, I wouldn't hesitate to call for any reason. Thanks for such well trained customer service and billing department employees.

My husband and I refinanced our mortgage with a pay out to purchase a boat. The process was pleasantly smooth and stress-free! Everything was done electronically except for the final signature which was done in our home and at our convenience. All we had to do was answer a few questions over the phone, scan a couple of documents, & sign a couple documents electronically. Everything else was done for us and we were walked through and kept informed through every step. Easy communication... anytime I had a question my email or call was answered within hours.

When I refinanced thru DiTech, I was not sure of the process. I went with DiTech as they are my current mortgage company and have been easy to work with. From the first email to the last phone call ....I had the best experience! The people I spoke with were all very kind and patient with me, as I had a lot of questions. They made the whole transaction smooth. I appreciated each person who contacted me every step of the way so I always knew where we were in the process. Thank you!!

This is the worst company ever!!!! Had Citi, sold to Green Tree so I ended up with Ditech. Unlucky me!!! Sold my house connected to this mortgage company, still have not received my escrow refund. Told it was mailed and if I wanted to stop payment on the first check and they would send out another but it would take 30 MORE days!! How would it have been if I had told them "I sent my mortgage payment in it must be lost in the mail, but wait 30 days and I will resend another!" We know how that would have went, Ditech would have tacked on interest plus dinged my credit. I was NEVER late paying the money I owed them and they should be just as timely returning MY MONEY to me! IF you get sold to them RUN........and please do not ever on your own chose this place to take out a loan! Your life will never be the same!

I have been with ditech for many years now and have never had any issues with their service. I had recently decided to refinance my loan and even though there are many companies out there that can refinance, I decided to go back to ditech. I am so glad I did, not only was it easy to understand and know what was going on the whole time but every person that contacted me, was super nice and had my best interest in mind and wanted to make sure I understood every step. Thank ditech.

It was important for me to refinance on line, with minimal time on the phone. Even though I am not that computer-literate I was taken through all steps very carefully by my representative. Asking for more time to run the numbers differently was no problem either. Nicholas still answers my questions to this day even though I closed 2 weeks ago. I cannot say enough about my Representative from Ditech. I was treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. Thank you

Horrible customer service. While refinancing my home I found out they hadn't paid my property taxes. The money was in escrow and I faxed them the delinquent statement for my property taxes. They said it would take "14 business days to research this matter." In order to close the deal on time I had to borrow money to pay the property taxes while they "researched" it. Then since my refinancing didn't go through on the expected day, I ended up having to pay my mortgage late by two days. They refused to drop the late fee, even though it was their fault the deal was delayed and I had to pay my mortgage late because of their incompetence. I will never work with Ditech again and have contacted the Department of Justice to file a complaint. Look at their reviews. I'm not the only unsafisfied customers they have.

BEWARE! My mortgage changed from a ARM to a Conventional Mortgage at 6%. (It is on a beach condo that is under water, but I have not foreclosed on this property and have worked hard to pay my debit during the great recession) I was told our mthly payment would not change and Ditech asked if I wanted to refinance, so I accepted their offer and started talking to an underwriter (who will promise you the world) During the process, behind my back, Ditech decided not to apply my mortgage payments, instead filed them as suspended funds? I think they wanted the property to look like a short sale and show I was behind on my payments! Then I discovered they reported to my credit bureau that I was behind on my mortgage! Slimy. Also, Ditech stopped sending paper statements during this time and increased my mthly payment by 500.00! I pay my bills through my banks auto pay, so I didn't pick this up till I got a notice from Trans Union that I had a ding on my credit that needed attention! I immediately called off the refinance process, which was really a predatory ploy to try and dump my property from their portfolio. And had to go on line and request paper statements again. Ditech refuses to notify the credit bureaus that I was not late on mortgage payments. Be very careful when trying to refinance with them! especially if your property is under water.

Please transfer your mortgage immediately if your mortgage is sold to this bank. They will give you the run around with over 12 calls in the last 4 months. They show no concern for any problems you are experiencing. They only ask you to continue to call back as your matter is under review. I have purchased two homes and understand how competent and professional mortgage companies behave.

Inadvertently, one month recently, my house payment was made twice. I panicked because other things would not be paid and I called Ditech. The young lady I talked to stayed calm and helpful, but I was upset and asked to talk to her supervisor who assured me everything she said was correct as far as getting things straightened out was concerned. It just couldn't be fixed as quickly as I needed. The supervisor was kind and sympathetic and talked to me about ways to maybe speed things up, but the problem was I couldn't get to the bank due to mobility issues causing me to give up driving. We talked for some time and worked out a faster fix and he gave me exact directions what to do and also his cell number. I feel bad that I can't remember his name, because he was extraordinarily sincere and kind. I would recommend Ditech to anyone needing their services. They care about people.

BAD Company to work with. Been with this company over 20 years. Ridiculous to try to refinance your home. Ridiculous if they want me to turn my house into a trailer. These people have bumped their head. County and state offices in which I live are advising me not to do what Ditech is asking me to do. Definitely not in my best interest. Other title and mortgage company is telling me the same thing. Ditech is taking advantage because I am confined to a wheelchair in my home and can’t get out Like I said I’ve been a customer for over 20 years and never late on a payment with credit scores that were above 700 till after Ditech‘s inquiries damaging my credit And then say I don’t qualify because I don’t meet the credit qualifications. I’ll because they want to make a modular home a double wide trailer and I refuse to do so My suggestion is run as far away as you can from Ditech that’s my opinion

For the most part Ditech was a great company. The issues I had was resolved and I didn't have a bad experience as I also a great customer who paid my mortgage on time. If you don't pay your mortgage on time then maybe that's why your experience was unpleasant. I'm a nuetral person sometimes it's not always the business fault. Anyhow I had a great experience and was shocked to hear my mortgage was sold to another investor but I would definitely have ditech handle any of my future mortgage .

Ditech has truly saved the day, and I have been able to save my home. Every associate has been courteous, caring, and prepared. My questions were answered thoroughly. With their help, i was able to complete forms for loan modification. This has lowered my payments, so they are now well within my budget. Cannot thank these representatives enough, they have basically saved my life. Thanks for designing your service, so the customer is the top priority. If there is a problem, someone can be found to solve it. Very reassuring to feel so safe and secure, especially, in a world where there are so many who prey on those who are in desperate need financially. Now I can live life, and look forward to getting out and doing so many things that have been impossible for years.

We have had hail damage to our roof on January 9th. We contacted our insurance company and got the money to fix the roof then the trouble began! We contacted Ditech who holds our mortgage and needed to send them the paperwork from the contractor and verify that we were going to have the work done. We also had to have the check for the total repairs, $20,742 sent to them endorsed by us and they would then send us the money to pay our contractor. so far so good... We got the first 50% of the money back from Ditech to pay the contractor to start the work. The work has been done for over a month but to date we do not have the money to give the contractor his final payment. We get excuse after excuse as to why they cannot send us the money but I believe that they are holding the funds and making money on them. We are talking about over $10,000 dollars that they have had for over a month. They do not seem to be a very reputable company or are not run very well. I would not recommend them to anyone looking for a home loan!!!

My experience during refinancing of my home was very professional. It took a little longer than I anticipated, but there were unique circumstances that Ditech wanted to make sure was proper. Overall every thing was easy, the communication process was seamless, meaning that responses took no longer than a day or so and call backs were within a few hours. Toward closing the communication process was even quicker and it always remain open and pleasant.

I phoned with a question about refinancing my rental property for a lesser percentage rate, and before the call was finished, I was in negotiations with your representative. I don't mean I was pressured; on the contrary, the whole staff I dealt with was very patient and forthcoming. Things went smoothly and within a very short time, I had my refinance with quite a savings per month. Thank you, again, and I recommend ditech anytime some one asks me.

A nightmare to deal with. I had Green Tree and therefore ended up with Ditech. I have had issues with them paying my taxes from my escrow account to the point that I had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Every time I called, I was told the payment was being disbursed "in 5 business days". I'd call back 2 weeks later and instead told "I don't know why it wasn't paid yet" and "its been escalated". This continued for 2 months and at least a dozen phone calls. I kept telling the reps in the tax dept. that when I logged in to the Ditech portal I could see that I had enough in my escrow balance to cover the taxes so there was no reason for not paying it. They couldn't tell me why it wasn't being paid. Eventually I got fed up and filed a complaint with the BBB and, 3 weeks later, Ditech finally disbursed the funds with an apology. They can keep their apology. It doesn't make up for the aggravation. I am stuck with Ditech for now but I would never do business with this company again. Looking forward to selling my house next year so I don't have to deal with them anymore!

I couldn't be happier with my mortgage experience with Ditech! Everything was a breeze from the online application all the way to my closing date, which was 3 weeks later! Patrick and Cindy were the best and I was also assigned 2 others who I could reach out to just in case Patrick or Cindy were out of the office. I did an FHA loan and even my realtor was surprised how fast and smooth the process was! Once I had a signed contract in hand, the appraisal was set for the following week!! That's almost unheard of these days! My loan processors were always in contact with me, letting me know what step we were at in the loan process and uploading all my documents on the website was a huge time saver! Ditech blows all other mortgage companies out of the water with their A+ service and extremely fast process!!

My experience getting a loan with ditech was not at all what I expected - and that was a good thing. The horror stories I've heard (and had in the past) with mortgages had my blood pressure at the ceiling right after I hit "submit" on the application. But the ditech team took care of me to the point we were ready to close TWO WEEKS EARLY. And, to boot, my rate lowered the day before we closed and I was able to take advantage of that, even on short notice. All in all the ditech experience was top notch.

Easiest refinance I’ve ever experienced! All Ditech representatives were professional, timely and thorough. There were no surprises, like I’ve experienced with other lenders. Even the title company and notary had the same level of excellent service. I highly recommend using Ditech for home loans.

I am surprised to see the negative reviews. I recently helped my parents through the mortgage process,acting as their liaison, and I have had nothing but the easiest experience and best customer service with our loan officer, Joe, at Ditech. He promptly answers calls and emails and has moved very quickly on everything to get the mortgage closed in a timely fashion.

Several years ago my loan was sold to Ditech. At that point I had never heard of Ditech and even became alarmed when I read some of the ratings on this and others similar sites. I have been with Ditech now for 7+ years. I have a 30yr fixed rate loan with them and have had no problems at all! They say what they are going to do and do it. They have always paid my property taxes and insurance payments on time. I would highly recommend Ditech if you are looking for a reputable, professional mirage lender.

This is the second home loan I have ever had and so far Ditech is the best broker I have had. Their statements are very clearly broken down to show you where your money is going. And if you live in Rhode Island like I do, a huge portion goes to property taxes. Joking aside, they recently let me know that they found that I was over paying in my escrow and reduced it by $300 a month. Awesome!

To all Veterans the good bad and ugly of Ditech, The Good- My mortgage was purchased by Ditech and we recently had a pipe burst in our home during the cold snap in January. As always or insurance company USAA CIC was wonderful. All veterans and active service should look into USAA for their insurance needs. The Bad-Because we have a loan/mortgage with Ditech the settlement check was also made out to them. We as responsible persons followed the rules of Ditech to the letter. We sent them the check on April 3, 2018. They said they would send the first installment of $5000 so work can start no later than the 20th. They lied and the check was not sent in a timely manner. The ugly- On 4/26/18 Ditech customer service was called and they stated that the check for 5k on the 23rd but the other funds will not be sent because a form was missing. We reached out to USAA and they said all forms were sent to them and that they are asking for a form that know one has or does. Because USAA is customer orientated they stated as much in writing. Per Ditech there is nothing they can do and the earliest work can be finished will be 5/18/18. That is when they will release the funds. That will be almost 5 months since the incident. Now Ditech does not pay the insurance. I do. Why they are involved in the process. So they can make money off of a bad situation. That money is place in escrow and they earn interest. They do not care about you or the health of your family nor do they care about contractors and their families. My advice to all persons is if you are looking at Ditech for a mortgage....you need to run away. Loan sharks have more compassion and empathy!! Customer service is a two out of ten at best. If you ask for a manager your told why? They will say the same thing I’m saying. Really? To all vets and active service men don’t do business with them. I am an 8 year veteran and I feel like our family has been treated poorly and less than human. Paul
