The 8 business days review hold that's always on my account, is suspicious. No one in the payment review department can give me an answer. I was told it had to do with using a different payment method a few times, but that was clearly a lie. I used to have my payments posted in about 2-3 business days. Now I have to call the review department and then my bank to have them verify they money was taken out almost a week ago. It's disgusting and life altering when money you know has been taken out of your account almost two weeks ago isn't accessible to you unless someone hits a button or decides to check why they haven't cleared it yet... It did clear. It always has. I'm pretty sure there was something on my account making this happen for almost 2 years. I closed the account today. Not being able to access hundreds of dollars when you need it for emergencies is anxiety inducing. I'll never use discover again. Any company that says "they system handles it", is either lying, was lied to, or it's a scam. Wait... It's a scam. I don't like not having access to my money. Good riddance.

I use to love discover card and bank service. but my savings acct recently got hacked for $2,000. I filed dispute week ago, tried calling today for update was told agent wait times are 30+ minutes. I asked chat agent to just have them call me when they're available, said they don't offer que up outbound call requests. taking my banking and card business where I don't have to wait on hold for hrs.

When you open a bank account with a bank, you trust that you will be able to withdraw or use the fund when you need it. If you put that trust into Discover bank, you place your trust in a wrong place. They will say that they're an online bank and that they don't have a physical office, and because of that, they would need to implement certain processes and procedures, and they will prevent you from accessing your fund whenever they want. And they will NOT notify you. You will need to call them, on hold for 90 minutes, got hung up and try again. You will need to quit everything you do to get on the phone and to stay on the phone, and to pray that you will be able to talk to a knowledgeable person who wants to do the right thing and able to do the right thing. Their excuse of "online bank" is so lame. There are many online banks out there that operates so much better.

Discover is the absolute worse. There is a scam out there. I receive several calls a day from Sarah at discover on three different phone numbers. Try blocking to no avail. Called Discover to see what they are doing to stop this. Their efforts are non existent. Since this is in their name you would think they would try to do something. Very poor PR for such a large company.

Sorriest CC I've ever had in my life. Never a missed payment, never a late payment. And, how does Discover reward me?....by charging me the highest interest rate allowable by law. Think it was because of my credit score?...guess again! An 800 credit score, one of Discover's highest credit lines, and over 5 years as a customer. The minute I had a balance over 10K, they more than doubled my interest rate. Absolute SHYSTERS! Paid it off, closed the account, and Discover can go "F" themselves! Rated one star because I couldn't rate them lower.

I have been a loyal and reliable discover card member for 17 years! Just found out they closed my account for inactivity. They said they sent me a letter in April I never got it . Something like this affecting credit should be sent certified. I escalated to a supervisor and was told the only thing I could do was apply for a new card.....no way.

My 90 year old father had a Discover Card with the address of PO Box 29013, Phoenix AZ 85038-9013 that had fraudulent charges that he reported to the company by phone. While on the phone talking to them the representative said another charge for 199 just came in. My father told them it was not him and not to pay it or any of these charges. Discover ignored what he said and charged it. Discover advertises you do not pay any charges you do not authorize. This is false advertising. I have been on the phone, as has my father to get these charges dropped without satisfaction. I advise people to NEVER get a Discover card because this is how they treat people. My father destroyed the card and will not pay these false charges. It has hurt his credit but he will not pay what he did not charge. Be very careful which credit cards you choose or you may be cheated by the card provider like my father. Very bad company and bad business for sure!

Discover Bank is unethical, devious and a usurer. Their customer support is clueless. I have been attempting to send them a check to pay off my personal loan. On the first attempt, they did not process my check ($20,314) for over three weeks. By this time I assumed the check had been lost in the mail. Discover ,of course, continued to send me notices that a payment was overdue. I sent a second check overnight and got a receipt that showed it delivered and signed for in Naperville, IL lock box.Sixteen days later it has still not been processed. What kind of game is Discover playing? By the way, don't bother to try calling what they call "Consumer Advocate line". There is no one available to take your call EVER! I just received another notice that I am in danger of being turned over to a collection agency. KMA Discover Bank

I have put in two disputes and they went with the merchant instead of there customer and that’s me. I have presented the information that I have seen and still I have to pay money out my pocket when I haven’t got service from the merchant. The dispute team is telling me they have to go with the merchant. The service was $20.00 why do I have to pay $110.00 more for service I never got. Please don’t choose discover please don’t you will regret it

So I am loyal with Discover since 2012, I have a choice of 38 credit cards but due to excellent cash back and I made my first choice DISCOVER, 100% on time payment for 5 years straight, I choose DISCOVER with all my faith for big purchases and problem started between me and DISCOVER when I used my card to order garments from BANANA REPUBLIC past in AUG 2015, girlfriend of mine was visiting overseas and we made a purchase of $2100 (approx.) as a gift for relatives from BANANA REPUBLIC and out of three one shipment came wrong which was close to $1800.00, I simply approach BANANA REPUBLIC and after so many calls no response so I made a choice to file a dispute using DISCOVER, certainly DISCOVER open my case after 3 months back and forth, I did provided all evidence which shows merchant shipped wrong package to me and sometime in DECEMBER 2015 DISCOVER email me, they have debited that amount back to my account as per DISCOVER's perception merchant is right?, even merchant never provided any proof, so I called at DISCOVER and asked reason for all, one of the most raciest white female showed super bad attitude over the phone and said you can go ahed and fly a law suite if you want but we close this case from our side so sorry we can't help you out ? REALLY this is a reward of my loyalty when so and so merchant screws my order my finance company never stay my side , so I requested her to speak with someone from head department and i was being promised to receive a call from 72 hours, its been two months no call received ? I truly feel cheated from DISCOVER who never pay attention to their loyal customers, done with it, Happy with my AMEX at least they do take care of their customers , not just well , very well and I feel confident using AMEX for my all big purchases , because I am safe with AMEX! NEVER AGAIN, I am in process to close mine and all my family members 4 accounts with DISCOVER
