The two differences between Root Canal and dealing with DTS Title Services is with Root Canal the Dentist communicates and Root Canal finally gets over. I was purchasing two lots in nearby West Virginia from a seller who lives near Winchester. He asked I find a title company close to him. I guess I researched poorly and found DTS and, first, put two parties to talk. During the period I made at least two, but maybe up to four calls to a Ms.Stephanie Hill at DTS that all went unreturned: I figured maybe this was some policy since I'm not really a principal until the seller pretty much invokes me, he can sell the property to anyone at this point and they have agency, not me. Finally I did get contacted because the seller told DTS, I reckon. We set a closing date that was agreeable for all parties to meet at DTS in Winchester. I soon discover I have a conflicting appointment and contact all to rearrange, this emtails them agreeing, etc: complicated. I show up at closing early, having traveled from DC. I touch base with the DTS front desk hoping maybe the seller is early too. Nope, so I hang out, another DTS rep comes out and says 'both parties need not be present, this is just a raw land transfer,' well thanks now for that info, why did we all go thru the whole scheduling conundrum. Very unprofessional and now an insulting waste of my time, I could have presented the check and signed anytime. Wait there's a lots more..., So after a few weeks and more unreturned emails and phone calls the deed arrives but is in error. It says 'married' which needs to be fixed as it would invoke all kinds of problems in probate, etc. A serious error easily avoided if maybe in one of the unreturned phone calls they could have asked me my marital status. Still, ongoing: Now I have another two unreturned emails after another month asking for resolution. When can Ms.Hill finally get this over and done?

Rhonda and Stephanie are so great to work with. They are very responsive and maintain excellent communication throughout the whole process.

If you think this company is a pain to work with, try working FOR them. I worked there around 2011 and was "let go" because . . . wait for it . . . I had a death in my immediate family and had to go to NY to attend the funeral. Furthermore, they proceeded to call me while I was at the funeral to inform me of this. This company, and the people who "run" it, are a complete joke. Be warned.

Great at closing when the money is on the table. When I needed assistance later with an issue I wasn't even worth a call back.
