They are the best mortgage lenders around. They are super friendly and helpful. Communication is amazing. It was my first time buying a home and they made it feel easy. They have a team of knowledgeable people who are always willing to help. They often reached out to me first to see how things are going and to ask if they can be of assistance. My real estate agent said they are so good compared to other lenders that he now uses them for all of his personal work. If you want a mortgage lender, look no further. Direct mortgage loans is as good as it gets.

We had trouble finding a bank that would refinance our home because of the parameters banks are required to use to get the job done. Our situation is unusual with a small business we own and such, but Laura was able to get it done for us. She was very communicative throughout the whole process and that was so important to us. My husband and I originally went with a different lender, but after a tragedy occurred with our first loan officer, we were forced to change companies. We were excited to work with DML, because of their outstanding reviews. Our excitement soon wore off. Our loan officer was unresponsive, couldn't answer basic questions, often took 1.5 - 2 weeks to send any type of correspondence regarding our loan, and drastically delayed our home renovation project. We could see when our emails were opened, often many times, just to go ignored. We were up front about the time constraint on our home project, but no amount of pressure from my husband or our contractors moved the needle forward. We are BEYOND disappointed in this company and feel duped. It makes me wonder how many of these 5 star reviews are family members and friends, because we were certainly not given the same "wonderful" customer service that we read about. We are now on our third lender, who is phenomenal, so if you want actual stellar customer service go with Pacific Sierra Mortgage.

My refinance couldn't have gone smoother. So patient in explaining everything to me, more than a few times! This was my second time using DML and I definitely recommend them!

I worked with Michelle out of the Mobile office for the 2nd time and it was yet again another amazing experience! The whole team really knows what they are doing and will take great care of you! Couldn’t imagine going anywhere else!

We had the worst experience with DML. There were always issues from the beginning to the end. We decided to work with them because our realtor recommended them. Initially, we had a discussion of what kind of mortgage we are looking for with Jess. 1-2 weeks later, his assistant send us a closing disclosure for us to sign. When we looked at it, it was totally different than what we discussed and there were a lot fees that we didnt know about. When we asked questions and wanted to discuss our concerns, his assistant replied just sign it so we can proceed. Jeff did not respond to us at this point. 1-2 days later, we had to contact our realtor because we didnt hear anything back. Later that day, Jeff called us and explained everything and answered all of our questions. We decided to proceed, but there was a minor mistake in the disclosure that asked we asked to be fixed before we sign. He said “we will fix it and send it back to you.” We never received the correct form, several days later they contacted us to sign it, made it look like we are delaying everything. They finally fixed it and we signed. We did not heard back from them until three days before our closing. They send us a huge list of documents that the bank required. Even though it was very stressful to get these documents, we were able to get everything within 24 hours. The day before the closing, Jeff called us and stated that we may not be able to close tomorrow because the bank does not accept the appraisal. We said that is ok with us and rescheduled closing 1 week later. Again, they didnt contact us until 3 days before closing. This time they wanted more documents. We provided them with the documents, but again same issue with the bank. So we didnt close. They were able to find another bank that will accept appraisal, and we decided to proceed. From this point, we were waiting on the bank to approve so we can close on the house. We were told it could be tomorrow, next day or next week. Our realtor called one week later, stating that the bank accepted the final approval, just need some more documents to proceed and Jeff will send us the documents to be completed. We didnt get any documents that day and the next day, we told to our realtor that we did not receive any documents. He physically had to go to their office to make them send the documents. At this point, we realized that they were just being sluggish all this time. 1 week later, Jeff texted us on Sunday at 5 pm requesting “another final document” we were not able answer him or provide this document at that point. Less than 2 hours later, our realtor called us stating that Jeff told him we are not sending him the required document. So they think it is okay for them to wait 2 days to reply to you, but they cant wait 2 hours for you to reply to them. 2 days later, we were able to finally close. We knew that there were going be issues with closing too. Unfortunately, we were not wrong. We did not receive the final amount to close until 3 hours before closing which obviously delayed the closing given that they only accept wire transfer which could only be done at the bank. To sum up, I would not recommend DML. They are only the middle man who finds a lender for you. Do your research and work with a Lender directly.

Keith Beveridge, Who I worked with at Direct Mortgage Loans, was outstanding. He was always on top of things, letting me know what was going on. At the end we needed some documents to make everything go through, and he gave me just the right push to get those in, which I am very thankful for.
