Dave walked us through the purchase and financing of our first house four years ago and explained everything in detail. He was extremely patient with our first time buyer questions and at the same time made sure to get everything done quickly with no mistakes. When it came time to refinance our mortgage so that we could lower our rate, he again walked us through every step and was able to get it all done within a short time frame. Dave made himself available on weekends to accommodate our schedules. When we explained we wanted to find funding for a granny flat to be built he walked us through our two options in detail and guided us to our best option. Our home had multiple offers so it was a stressful situation already, and people were doing substantial cash bids and so having a personable lender was essential in having our bid be highly considered. He helped us over multiple different homes until we landed one. Once we were in escrow, Dave and his team immediately set to work and was in constant contact with all parties and was on top of every little thing. Dave and Donna were fantastic. We were starting the refinance process with Dave when my existing lender offered a fee-free adjustment of our mortgage rate to a lower rate (not lower than what Dave was able to find). We made the difficult decision to go with our existing lender, and stepped away from our refinance with Dave. He was very professional and understanding during this process, even though he and Donna had already expended time and resources on navigating our refinance. As interest rates continued to plummet, he reached back out to us. We let him know that if interest rates hit a certain percentage, then it would be worthwhile to go through the refinance process. Sure enough, a few weeks later, he followed up and was able to deliver on an amazing rate with reasonable fees / costs. In the midst of this process, there was a housing boom in Tahoe (he's got a broad reach beyond San Diego), and he was able to find the ever elusive appraiser to keep us on track to close the refinance. He was responsive, professional, informative, and continued to keep us up to date as things progressed. I would highly recommend.
