Went in with a Dell gaming laptop for pawn immediately they were trying to convince me to sell instead of pawn when i refused they said well how much you think you want to pawn it for. I told them that i know they retail for over $1,000 so id like to see about $400-500 he said he might be able to do $300. He goes to talk to someone comes back with he shot that down best we can do is $125. You were just begging me to sell it. Yall rippin People off.

Very slow service, employees does not know what their doing when selling weapons.

I got stuck in traffic coming back from Louisville and called to tell them I could be there when they opened the next day. I was told I would have to put my items back in layaway. Considering how much business I do there, not cool.

Great items. My favorite pawn shop. Everyone always nice and helpful. Been here 100 times min. Some times they are a bit busy to talk on the phone but understandable that no one gets paid when 30 customers need assistance with 10 employees. I just decide to come down because I already know the price is below low market value. Thanks guys. Wife loved the valentines gold bracelet.

Was there to buy a pistol and the process can be lengthy while waiting on approval. My baby needed to nurse so the employee brought me out a chair to nurse in while I waited because he overheard me tell my boyfriend I couldn't nurse the baby standing as he's too big now. It was so sweet. He also told me it was fine to nurse there (which I knew but it's still reassuring). They also gave us a deal on our pistols cuz we bought 3. It was a great customer service experience.

Literally called and asked if they could buy my Movado Bold watch before I drove 50 minutes out of my way, they said we can’t discuss this over the phone drive down here and we will look at it. So I drove down there just for them to tell me “sorry we don’t buy watches”

Very rude staff, wasn't pawning just buying. The mislabeled many items so they can charge more money. There was a spyderco tenacious in the case from China that is around 50 bucks new and they said it was a Paramilitary 2 and were charging 100 buck for it. The two knives look nothing alike

As you can see I was on the phone for 20 minutes to ask 1 question, before, I was on the phone for a additional 10 minutes and never got a response. My question would have taken literally about a minute to answer. If you don't want customers to call so that you can expand your business and sales then don't have a business phone number.

One star is a blessing, deserves NO Stars. My mother purchased a television that didn't have a HDMI port. According to her and others this television was working in store which I don't see how considering I traveled from Louisville just to bring her to the store. Because the television didn't have a HDMI, she tried using a converter box - Long Story Short .... It still didn't work. No components, AV, HDMI, and Barely the cable input. She basically brought a television to fix for twice as much to diagnose and repair the problem. Would recommend you thoroughly check all electronics before handing them your money.

Well I'm no longer shopping at Dan's Discount Pawn anymore. Too many bad experiences and this tops it. I go in there today (3.29.17) just to browse and I saw an awesome deal on a TV, Vizio 40" LED 1080p Smart TV for $140. They had one of those "Wow" stickers on it with that price on it. It didn't come with a stand but I wanted to wall mount it anyways. I wait in line until it was my turn and the employee comes up to the box, sees the $140 price and look at the price from their pawn sticker (originally $269 they had it). She talks to employee and he says that's not the price. They talk and she looks at me and goes "I'm sorry, it's $165." "What? The price says $140 and it doesn't even come with a stand. If it. Came with a stand then maybe $165, but the tag says $140." "They put the wrong price tag on it, I'm sorry." Ugh, that's not my problem, the price says $140. Then she goes, "Well do you have a gaming system?" "Yes, but I play it on a 4K TV." "Well let me show you other Smart TVs." And starts to show me these LG 43.5" that were for $165, but there were three of the same exact model. That just gave off a bad vibe, especially from a pawn shop. I tell her that I believe I should get that TV because it's advertised at $140, because of the stand. She tells me "The best I can do is $150" And I just walked out. I was so heated at that moment I really didn't wanna go off.
