    I refinanced my mortgage in order to do a major home improvement project. I chose to go within Guardian Credit Union because of the disappointing experience with my mortgage carrier. I was connected with Shelly Shaver to assist in the processing of my loan. She was very thorough in explaining the process and put my mind at ease. She was available to answer questions and returned phone calls and emails in a timely manner. I felt like she was working on my behalf throughout the process.     My husband and I had the worse experience with this company, so glad we were able to find another company that provided us with the greatest experience and after waiting over 40 days and providing the same documents over and over again without adequate communication nor transparency. It wasn’t until we communicated we were moving to another company did we start hearing from them, even then there were more errors! This whole experience caused us additional stress and anxiety! Once we moved on to a better mortgage company we closed within 2 weeks and the service we received was excellent!! Glad some of you had better luck than we did!

    Jill Crawford was our loan officer and she was amazing! She was always honest with us, was prompt to respond to any questions and kept us well informed of the process. I can't think of one thing that she could have done better. If it's possible to request your loan officer, I would highly recommend Jill.

    Bank has issues. First I was mailing my checks to forth Worth. They change them to dallas and a couple times I had to send the check twice because my payment got lost. Recently my bank account was hacked and my bank had to close the account. I opened another account with the same bank. Took me awhile to change all my payments on auto draft. But, It has taken me too long to have CU Members to correct the new bank account and just now I got 3 letters from CU Bank. One date July the 8th other July 9th and last one July 12 th !! Called the bank and the person answering couldn’t answer my questions. Now they’re asking me to mail cashiers checks !! When I have sufficient funds to pay from my bank !! She said I got letters in may, June and July Not true. Got them all in one week !! Really bad experience and unorganized bank for sure. Not using them anymore.

    Dana LaGrone did a wonderful job for us. She kept us informed of the next step of the process. We were informed of all refinancing fees and our new fixed interest rate. Paying off our debt was a big help. I really appreciate how she showed me how to scan documents on my iphone. That was really helpful in returning key papers to continue with the loan to the title company. We are very glad to have worked with Dana on our original 2007 loan and our 2020 loan. Thanks for the super service.

    Our loan officer, Tori, was the best part about our entire first time home-buying experience. She went above and beyond the whole process. Always wanted to make sure we were in a good place. She was always checking in on us to make sure we were doing okay and if we had any questions. I don't know how we would have got this done without her.

    I am a real estate agent that has had the unfortunate experience of working with CU members mortgage. The buyers of our home chose to get their loan from them. It has been an absolute nightmare. Their loan officer Sheena has been consistently unresponsive to emails and phone calls and has fumbled and made error after error causing our contract to be continually delayed. We are now over 80 days under contract and set to close Friday and have just been told (4 days before closing) by Sheena that our appraisal was not valid as of a month and a half ago! So, once again, we will be delayed another few weeks to a month. This is the 3rd closing date we have missed. Each time we’ve begged for updates and requested that her supervisor(s) call us to fix the problem yet nothing has been done. This place is a circus. Maybe there are a few good loan officers you can luck out and get, but it’s been one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a lending company.
