Credit Union of Texas Gross Rd, Mesquite

I have had this bank before I was even old enough to have my own account but I have always had great customer service. I recommend this bank to everyone I know. I had an extra great experience with Mitchel today. He was very personable and helpful and I will be reaching out to him for any future help I need.

This review is in relation to the customer service that was displayed at the corporate office. I spoke with Sandra, which hung up on me. They closed my debit card back in January due to fraudulent activity that had been happening over the course of 2 years. The charges were small and due to my error I didn't notice them until I seen some other items being charged. I closed the card and shredded it inside the banking center. They are now stating that I went back into the online banking and opened a card that I didn't have access to. An error occurred at the pharmacy and they charged the incorrect card, now they are holding me accountable for transactions that I reported as fraudulent in January. Since when can you go into reopen a closed debit card. I am definitely taking my business else where. I am also writing a letter to the board with my disgust with Credit union of Texas. The only reason I am giving them one star is because there is not an option for 0 stars. This is a repeated problem where these people are rude. Once of the young ladies at corporate had to go back and listen to one of the calls where the agent was horrible. I should have every right to dispute a transaction that I did not authorize regardless if they have been charging me for 2 years or 2 days. This is horrible service. I work for a credit union and if we treated people this way we would be without a job. I am currently formulating a letter to the board to make them aware of this.

Service was fast and friendly. Koehler VanLandingham, was the quickest to greet me with a smile and excellent service. Took care of my needs very quickly and was very knowledgeable. Had a few encounters before her at the branch with I think Andre, and he was very unprofessional and quick to dismiss me. I'm glad CUTX is finally stepping it up. Thanks Koehler!!!

Had a very bad experience Saturday, October 16. My card got locked because someone tried to send me money. Teller try to help by issuing a new card but forgot to activate it. I had a funeral to attend and wasn’t able to use my own money to pay for stuff had to use credit cards because my card was not active went through the whole weekend using a credit card because of them not being able to activate my card through a phone call. If I could give them a 0 star I would.

The services received were excellent! I was experiencing a very complex situation. Maria and other counter staff and manager handled the matter very discretely with a spirit of excellence. Thank you all very much!

Every other day account frozen!! Can not conduct business this way !! Off to explore other options for my banking needs! 5th time in so many weeks. Need more control.

My mother been a member of this credit union for years & passed away. Her & my father have a joint account. Took him in to let them know of her passing & to make a deposit a week ago and found out yesterday the account has been froze. What moron would freeze a joint account! You couldn't wait on the death certificate! As if we're not grieving enough! Their income & bills come through this account. This was totally uncalled for. I wouldn't recommend the Credit Union Of Texas at all! All of their locations have bad reviews. I see why!. There are better credit unions with common since and much better customer service! Have some compassion for your members!

I've had experiences at this particular location. I believe this branch needs a face-lift. The drive through area especially looks run down. The boxes with deposit slips are leaning. Appearance really matters.

Mitchel Castañeda He was amazing ! Great help, I came in worried about a situation in my situation , but was fixed … yayy Maria nice lady at the teller booth was soooooo helpful !!! The customer service is amazing . And they always have a answer to my questions ….

Mitchel helped my Nephew open a checking and savings account and explained all the responsibilities as well as the benefits of having a Credit Union of Texas acct. Thanks Mitchel for your time and assistance. Always a pleasure.

I'd like to thank Koehler Vanlandingham for her cheerful assistance. I visited my local Credit Union of Texas branch in Mesquite for the purpose of obtaining a Cashier's Check. This request for a cashier's check was a tad bit different than any of my prior withdraws. This time I needed a bit of help with verifying that my computation was correct. For I wanted to add a daily compound interest rate "i" at 21% APR - for a period just "n" 30 days. It's been several years since I've had to calculate financial numbers (NPV, PPV, IRR, etc.,) and I knew I was a bit rusty. Not worries. Koehler Vanlandingham came to my rescue. She and one of her managers, Mitchel, popped the number right up for me. I made a quick mental scan. I was in agreement to their final number (they had a much higher level of accuracy than what I was mentally able to calculate). Now for the sad part. I'd left my place from the front of the teller line in order to track down the answer to my interest rate add-on as it was already past close. So when I went back to the teller line, Koehler (just minding her boss's instruction), had already passed her till in to be closed. Ugg. . . I thought. But not to worry. Although technically I was late in returning to my place in the teller's line, and yes it was past closing time, they realized my blight and opened their till just for me. Wow!! I barely made it. But, they made it right by me and I was able to complete the transaction I had originally entered the bank for. Good things do happen to those that sometimes least deserve it! I left a very happy customer that day. Thank you Koehler!!
