My husband and I went to open a joint account there and to also get more information on getting a home loan and refinancing a car. Breanna Austin helped us out so much! She went above and beyond and answered all of questions and helped us to get all the info we needed from the home loan department as well as getting us approved for car refinancing! If you are going to this location she's the perfect person to help you with any of your needs! She seriously deserves a raise and promotion!

    Response from the owner

!!!!!!!!As a former employee and customer I don't recommend them at all take your banking and car loans somewhere else and also make sure you check and ask for a copy of what you are signing especially when opening an account or savings account this company demands a very high " sales quota" to their employees therefore alot of things are done behind curtains that members don't get to see , this Richardson location alone has been through 6 or 7 different branch managers in the last 5 years which tells you alot about how high their demand on sales is and how they don't appreciate employees. Also I was offered a demotion due to been pregnant which I declined therefore this company decided to fire me the moment I got sick. This company portraits to be so kind in the community but is a very different one closed doors!!!!!!!

Been to TWO different branch locations to fix this problem and it’s still not fixed. Simply asked for my car loan due date to be 5 days earlier than the original. Sat down, signed the paper work TWICE! The first time it changed for ONE month then went back to the original. Smh. The second time (NOW) they didn’t even take the money out (I have it in auto pay to come directly out of my CUTX account). On top of that I been getting charged an extra $29 month for a full year on my auto loan account. I was confused about the charge and was told that the LOAN ADVANCE INSURANCE was part of my payment. After reading through my paper work it still didn’t look right so when I went into the branch location to change my due date to be EARLY… I asked again and he told me that I’m getting charged because I haven’t turned in my car insurance declaration page showing them as the lean holder… WOW!!!! Mind blown. I took the steps with him to complete that issue and guess what? Still not corrected. At this point I’m ready to REFI my car loan with someone else and switch my payroll deposits to a DIFFERENT bank. 1st attempt location: Richardson branch 2nd attempt location: Frisco branch

Their staffs are not trained well, they will mess with your credit score. I wanted to refinance my paid off car, for some reason my CarFax had some Typo issue that it needs to be fixed, That means I shouldn’t even be able to get loan on my to Title !!!! not only I couldn’t get money off of my car also I have hard inquiry in my report now. They should’ve known better with a wrong Carfax it shouldn’t be any loan approved for refinancing! What they said is its a car loan ( WHICH I NEVER ASK FOR CAR LOAN) it should be different way when customer wants refinancing over their paid off car with their Title to check the carfax FIRST and then send hard inquiry to mess up customer’s credit score.

This was over a year ago. Went in to see if I can get my car refinanced through them, sat and waited for about 45 min till I was called up, told the guy what I was trying to do, he said no problem, he asked for all my info, my i.d. and other paperwork, the guy kept walking out of the office for long periods of time. Then once he was done with me, I was told they'll contact me later to give me an answer or whatever, weeks went by with no call, no email, not anything from them. Then when I try to call the number on the card he gave me, it went straight to a voicemail for some other department, also tried emailing him, still no response. So I just ended up going to my bank for the same thing, they gave me an answer within 15-25 min, and got my car refinanced that same day. Credit Union of Texas was a waste of time, bad experience.

I have banked with them for several years. Due to a missing deposit on my end (not a bank error) I have been hit with about 600 in overdraft fees. In trying to negotiate this down I have been rudely rejected once and politely once. 600 in fees over 5 days is maybe legal but its not right. I am struggling and they don't care. Which is why I left the (big) banks several years ago. Now they are the same.

This credit union stole almost $4,000.00 of my money when there agent who no longer works there linked a new account to my existing account and the new account had over 30 fraud hits, fraud never investigated and refused to. Do not trust this"FEDERALLY FUNDED" INSTITUTION.

Do not ever get a HELOC with this credit union. I never utilized the heloc and never had a balance and they reported me as missing payments and tanked my credit score. I’ve talked with them multiple times to get it fixed and they always say they have, but the incorrect reports are still on my credit report.

    Response from the owner

They enable my account to down load a spread sheet, worked up until December for last 4 years. 30 days of back and forth and still no change in their system. Must farm their IT out to the cheapest bidder. No call to offer a solution, just solicitation for a loan money. Charge astronomic fees to transfer money from share account to checking, in the early days credit unions were for the members now it is just to feather the executives beds.

Upon applying for a loan at this Credit Union I was told that the vehicle that I was purchasing had "structural" damage and due to this, the Manufacturer Warranty had been dropped on it even though it was only a year old and had a little over 9,000 miles. After stating this, they happen to mention that they provide Service Contracts. (not a coincidence) This made no sense to me considering that a Credit Union would not even consider financing a vehicle that truly had Structural Damage much less sell a Service Contract on it. I went back to the Dealer to ask about any vehicle damage. The dealer sat down and we called Volkswagen Manufacturing together. They informed us that Volkswagen absolutely DID NOT drop the Manufacturers Warranty and everything was still intact. If this was a ploy to get me to purchase one of the Credit Unions expensive warranties, it was a waste of my time and very frustrating. I have been told that the CU will tell you that you have to purchase a very over priced Service Contract through them in order to get a lower APR (Which is not true. They just choose to make your APR higher if you won't buy one) but I had never experienced anything shady up until now. It was very disappointing. I went another route with my financing and got a much better deal.
