I’ve been a member at Credit Union of Denver for over 10 years and they are typically amazing to work with. Within the last few years they have put their customer service on the back burner. I’ve had several car, motorcycle, and personal loans through them. As well as my wife’s and my personal checking/savings accounts. I have never had a problem, until recently. I went in and spoke to the CUD loan department after selling and paying off my last truck. I gave the gentleman details of the new vehicle I was looking to purchase, including the price. He advised that there would not be an issue securing the loan. After talking to the dealership and purchasing the new truck, CUD DENIED my loan. I was then forced to go throughout the entire loan process again (with a different CU), and was approved with no issues. For that, I will be seriously considering taking my financial business elsewhere, and withdrawing myself as a member. Thanks for nothin’ CUD!

Have had an account here for a while. Always liked the bank. One day my card got compromised. Somebody purchased $3,000 in concert tickets. I was able to do some legwork for them and get half the money refunded so they didn’t eat it. However after that they have relentlessly shut my card off sometimes twice a week at places I regularly do business with. It’s always the same I have to call and confirm the charges. This did start to slow down after a year or so. Unfortunately it appears to be happening again I was out of town this weekend unable to use my debit card and unable to get it turned back on DESPITE me having money!!!! TLDR; if you like saving money this is the place for you as they will not let you use your debit card!

I can't emphasis enough how badly customer service is! I've had a couple really nice people but at the end of the day, they can only do what's allowed and policy and procedures aren't the best. Also, I have found a few staff very unprofessional when discussing my banking. I couldn't wait to refinance and leave this place!

I called to ask for assistance about opening an account and the woman put me on mute and hung up the phone on me. Absolutely horrible customer service from Julia, the woman who answered the phone. This review has been up for over three months now and they still have not reached out to apologize.

The loan process at Credit Union of Denver went extremely smoothly. The staff were very friendly, helpful, efficient, and professional.

I have worked with the Credit Union of Denver off and on for almost 10 years. I have always had a pleasant experience and truthfully kept coming back because of their customer service. I recently was trying to refinance my car and was approved but needed to get paperwork done. The banker Nestor Lopez not only was completely unhelpful with obtaining the right paperwork he called me a liar. I will never do business with them again nor would I trust them with any money.

Their Non Sufficient Fees are the worst. Not only do they go wild, it goes against what the For-Profit banks like Chase and Wells Fargo are doing. I called to complain but they could only take $100 off of my account from their NSFees. The original charge was $5 and it grew to $200. What a steal!

The women that I've encountered at this branch have serious attitudes. No welcoming feeling whatsoever. I go out of my way to bank at the branch on Alameda.

The folks at CU of Denver really treat their customers right. They provide all the pertinent information and definitely work to ensure your full understanding of the loan process. I’m very happy and look forward to doing business with them again. They are the best in my book- go see why I said that… I am sure you will be pleased also.

Had a great experience with getting a HELOC and refinancing our vehicle loan. We are not technology savvy, but was able to accomplish the process, except for the finally closing, from our home with the patience and help from Micah, Jacob and Lindsay. We highly recommend CU of Denver!
