CoVantage Credit Union S 1st Ave, Wausau

I have been a member of covantage since I was 13, I really had no problems until I started having issues with my debit card. Anytime I purchase 3 or more transactions at once, they call it fraud and cancel my card without any warning. So, then I try my card and to my surprise its been blocked! Which is obviously pretty frustrating. Not even to mention that I don't know if I have ever spoken to a person on their phones. I always try to call earlier in the morning 9:00 AM- 10:00 AM to try and avoid long hold times, let I still end up having to physically go into the bank EVERY. SIGNLE. TIME. and have to get a new card. It's incredibly frustrating when you live in a different city as well and have to have your card mailed to you and they say it will take "10-12 days" and it actually comes in 1 full month. I used to LOVE covantage, I always told people about how kind and helpful they were. However, within the past 3 or so years, they have become incredibly unhelpful. I do not want to have to worry about my debit card being blocked without me even knowing after going on a small shopping spree and then not being able to access my funds because they do not want to properly follow through with their job.

Been here almost 20 years. In the past couple years CoVantage hasn't been able to extend any credit to me that I'd normally be eligible for. They claim my score is 653 instead of the 791 that other credit checks are pulling up. There's something shady happening in this business where they don't "want" to lend to certain people for whatever reason, & probably an illegal one since when I address the issue with them they give me dumb answers as if they're practicing the most stupid answer they could have given & they cut wrap their heads around anything logical to say. They've even played dumb before like they have no idea why they show my credit score 140 pts below what it actually is.

Needs to step their pandemic game up. Only one outside service desk is a poor adaptation to the current environment. Even more now that its cold outside. Please think about your customers. If you spent millions on the building you can certainly improve your walk-in/up services.

This old lady at the teller window is so rude. Other than that, I wish they at least check ID because I've been having problems with my account with withdrawing money I'm not aware of and sometimes they withdraw money from other account to me. So Tha k god, I have the receipts to prove.

The staff is always friendly and very helpful. When ever I have a question about anything they are always willing to help. Thank you very much to the staff of covantage.

I am extremely unsatisfied with CoVantage. I had a credit card with them for a few years now. However, recently they closed my account without any sort of notice. The reason being that I never activated a new card which I had lost and just never got around to reporting that I needed a new one. A notice that my account would be closed had I not activated my new card would have been nice. I contacted customer service and they were snarky and only said that I would have to reapply for a new credit card. I took my business to Royal Credit Union and will more than likely be transferring my auto loan that is through CoVantage as well.

I used to really enjoy banking with them but it seems like they've tightened up in just about every aspect of doing business. They don't seem quite as user friendly as they used to be and I'm not sure why that is. I will continue banking with them but I have begun looking elsewhere for my lending needs.
