Best experience I have had with closing on a home, I owned three houses, and now thanks to Cherie I own four thank your sooo Soo much! Your team was the best team I have closed with by far!

Lack of communication within their own team. They would all separately ask for documents without speaking to each other. When they would ask for things, they acted like they have been waiting for a period of time for a response even though it was the first we heard of a request. They gave a pre-approval and told us to move forward with our home building. 38 days out, they all of a sudden could not give a loan even with no changes to my credit. They re-assured us multiple times that the loan was good and it would not be a problem. They do not communicate with you very well, you have to consistently call or email them with your questions. And when they do answer, it is never the same answer. Just depends on who you spoke with that day. There was a lot of things I felt were recommended that made my wife and I feel uncomfortable as far as credit goes. I would not recommend this lending company to anyone in the area. If you do use them, make sure your loan is in the books! Do not go on the word of a pre-approval. There is another review posted about the same issues. They clearly can not get the issues worked out.

I enjoyed working with the Cornerstone Home lending team Cherie Walters what are contact person and her team was awesome. They made purchasing of a home when the most simplest things I've ever had to do. When we were unable to get certain documents they were there to help us with the solution on how to do that. I'd like to say that the woman who started my mortgage process, Cherie, she is top notch, 5 stars *****. She was very helpful and answered all my questions in a timely manner. I am rating Cornerstone Mortgage as a 3 star for the staff behind the curtains. I loved that Cornerstone has a secure portal for uploading information sensitive documents. I did not love, that the staff did not actually use the portal and repeatedly asked me to send documents via email. The staff seemed to be very disorganized and non communicative with each other. I noticed a few mistakes such as misinformed names and typos. Everyone says buying a house can be frustrating at times and I would say this was my headache. I was relieved to be done with the process, they closed on time just as Cherie stated they could. Kuddos for that. I didn't want to leave a mixed review, because I was happy to have my new home and be done with the process until yesterday, almost 1 month later. I received an email to clarify some information, which tells me there were some more mistakes made with the paperwork, bringing back my headache.

I am very pleased with the job, time and effort that Cherie Walters and Cornerstone Home Lending took with my wife and I. Thank you Cherie and Cornerstone.
