Commerce Bank Iowa St, Lawrence

We are always greeted promptly whether in the "drive through" line or in the lobby. The facility is clean, nicely landscaped (giving us confidence in the business!) and our financial needs are efficiently met either on-line or in person. Associates are courteous and professional. A good choice for banking in Lawrence!

I'm a small business operator here Lawrence Kansas , recently there was an unauthorized amount of a charge on the small business account that we run through commerce Bank on Iowa and ninth Street after noticing The unacceptable charge on this account we contacted Jason at commerce Bank on ninth and Iowa Jason was super efficient and professional he told us to come down and talk to a banker to get this charge blocked , The very next day which happens to be today I go in and speak to the banker named Jenna Moody ,she makes a few phone calls and proceeds to try & give me the runaround ,seems like she's just trying to get me to move along and call some third-party debit card department, so I explained to her that I really would like to get this matter situated here and now !!! It appeared she didn't begin to live up to her last name "MOODY" I felt that she was acting flustered & borderline rude , then all of a sudden she sprung up out of her chair and yelped " I'm going to get Chris I'll be back "!! Apparently she went and got her supervisor , a gentleman by the name of Chris and I must say this Chris fellow came over very charismatic & introduced himself , Give me a firm handshake & treated me like a human being with dignity and assured me that he would remedy this situation and that I had nothing to worry about ! I felt very good after speaking with him so I figured I would leave this review . Mr. Chris from Commerce bank on ninth and Iowa you did a very good job, you're very professional and it was a pleasure doing business with you thank you sir. - Sam W.

Disgusting bank. A phony teller scumhole named Jenna Moody at Iowa st got me thrown out of the bank and had some chodie named Christian force me to close all accounts for being to friendly. I had used this bank for 2 years, had all my direct deposits and SSD deposited here. It took me a month to straighten all my personal matters out because of these 2 jerks. I had seen Ms Malone many times in 2 years, never anything but friendly and a compliment to try and make her smile. For whatever reason she couldn't handle a " hey hot stuff " one afternoon, and turned on me like the plague. I will NEVER forget the inconvenience her and the other moron put me thru, just because i was being nice. Im sure you can bank here with zero problems, but whatever you do, put on your robot face and don't be nice. Ol buck tooth chubby will have you tossed out. Losers, period.

After having here for years i finnely called them out on the way my money goes explaining how it looks shady and suggested having it looked in th o they closed my acount tg e y up to something hee im hot all i need to blow it all wide open. watch ur stuff if u bank here look on line remember your last deposits transactions check into your stuff close. cuz when you see it and call them on it all they do is talk in circles with nonsense spread the word warn your friends. cuause this bank is crazy

Friendly staff at the local Lawrence bank. The main bank did gouge me when I converted Euros to dollars but that's not the staff's fault.

My husband and I needed to get a stack of documents notarized for our estate plan, which I expected to be a hassle to get accomplished during Covid. This was our first visit to this Commerce branch and Christopher, Andrea and Josh all went out of their way to help us get what we needed done quickly and correctly. We are very appreciative of the great customer service!

Beware, this bank will NOT consider your situation/need. Long story short, we needed them for help because we live far away from the bank, but they would rather stick to some old, inefficient, and time-consuming rules instead of many more valid and faster alternatives, in the name of “being cautious.” It’s great to be cautious and we appreciate it, but when you insist on the ineffective old ways instead of working with your customers, totally dismissed our suggestions of way more solid options, you’re simply, purposely making our lives hard and pushing people away. What's absolutely outrageous is when we pointed out that things have changed due to the pandemic, that my wife has an underlying condition, their response was “it’s been this way since before the pandemic,” disregarded our possible underlying medical condition. What kind of logic is that? We’ve been with this bank for 20 years, and though in the beginning they more than once messed up my account (showing wrong numbers on my account and credit card), when we moved to another state we eventually chose to stick with them. Now this is what we get. Avoid this bank is what I’ll strongly suggest.

I'm black.came in to cash a check from a lady I worked for.gave my DL .he wanted my phone# and ss# made me feel like I stole something. so I went to my Bank.i just can't believe how I was treated. I'm gonna let. Facebook and other online places know how I was treated. Shame on you guys. I pray you will treat people better than you did me.

They helped me when somebody stole my information, and were kind and sympathetic. I traviled across town from that point on to go here because I liked the way they treat me.
