Commerce Bank Delmar Blvd, University City

Close to my home but the last three visits I’ve waited in the drive through lane for over 20minutes. Today it was thirty minutes and there were only three cars. One teller handing all drive through and walk in clients. I wanted to allow for a bad day two but called my husband and said, it’s time to change banks.

I am new to Commerce Bank, and I am extremely happy with their services. I opened my account at this location during the current pandemic and the staff was incredible. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and we're extremely friendly and helpful. I recently had an issue with a company attempting to charge my account after a free product offer. There was no mention of auto enrollment and I am so happy that Commerce security blocked these transactions and my card. This was awesome, bc if they would've went through it could've taken months to dispute the charges. It was easiest to just cancel my card and I went to the branch to have a new one printed. I found all of this out a half an hour before the branch closed on Saturday and rushed to the branch and had printed. It took just a few minutes. Very happy to be with Commerce and applaud their security and service!!!

I have been with this branch for many, many years. I have never had a bad experience. Everyone i have had the pleasure of working with have always been respectful, kind, knowledgeable, friendly and go out of their way to make me feel like a VIP. Thank you for being there for us through all these milestones!

The ATM at this branch took a large check from me but failed to deposit it. Commerce was completely indifferent to the issue, very difficult to reach and the branch manager refused to return my call. I will avoid making deposits at any Commerce ATM in the future. I have obviously called the customer support phone number several times. I am simply told that the ATM will be audited and I will learn something in 10 business days. How is this acceptable? If I could give less than one star, I would.

It’s a great place! The cashiers are very welcoming and helpful! Customer friendly! My favorite part is I’ve gotten the chance to know the staff on a personal level, which makes going to the bank a delight instead of a chore

I've been banking with Commerce Bank for several years. Their friendliness and knowledge is what keeps me coming back. I never feel like a number there as they fulfill all the expectations of a neighborhood bank with their service and congeniality. I highly recommend Commerce Bank and specifically the University City branch on Delmar.

This location has clerks placing holds on check not using any type of system at all just personal preference ...this ucity location has random surprises..

I've been a customer for many years and love the staff - always friendly and courteous. Never used the drive through before COVID but now that I am using it I'm finding it unreasonably slow on several occasions. On my last visit I was in line for 55 minutes with just two customers ahead of me, the first of which was already being helped when I arrived. Two lanes were open plus the walk up and the other lane also had two cars when I arrived. I can only guess that there must have been some issue with the customer in front of me. My suggestion would be, open another lane when you see that there is going to be a delay.

I wanted to cash a check at the drive-up window. On arrival, there were 2 lanes open and 3 cars waiting for a teller. After waiting literally 15 minutes, I was still the 3rd car waiting for a teller. I left. I ended up at the Clayton Rd Commerce branch where I waited maybe 2 minutes to be helped. I was heading in that direction anyway. I’ve been a Commerce customer over 30 years and the teller service at this branch has become progressively worse. They clearly don’t value the drive-up customer.

This bank aided my contractor in defrauding me out of $4183.29 just because the managers knew him. Be cautious if you deal with them! There's a reason why they have 3 stars. I'm in the process of calling their corporate office, the police, BBB and any news agency available in our area. You have been warned!
