Commerce Bank Rte, Lee's Summit

They always do a great job for me I only had one problem once with them and that person does not work there anymore when I tried to get a house loan with them they told me to do something and they had no idea what they were telling me at that time it's screwed up too long now where I didn't get a Refinance on my way home because of that person that work there. Other than that I've never had a problem with commerce Bank at all.

Avoid at all costs. There are much better banking options out there that are more helpful, and provide more transparency. As a customer of over 20 years I had to finally cut the cord. For those with good experiences, I am happy for you, but unfortunately mine where few and far between.

I’ve been a customer of Commerce for over 10 years for my personal finances. I went in today to open a new account...stood in the lobby for 10 minutes before I could even ask someone who I should speak to about opening an account. Multiple employees looked right at me...no greeting....no how can I help you. I finally sat down waited another 10 minutes and was never acknowledged. It’s unfortunate that customer service has really went downhill at this location.

I went in today to set up a new checkings account and the process was very easy! Brandon Byes was very helpful and answer all my question. He is very friendly and easy to talk to! 5 stars and will will be referring in to my friends and family!

Worst Customer Service, do not fall for their new customer promotions. I now know why they are so desperate for people to open new accounts with them. Don't try calling them neither they don't answer phones or call back when you leave a message. Closing this account asap!

Made deposits and opened new accounts today. Cody was very helpful, professional and had the answers to all of our questions. Highly recommend.

If you're a numismatist: yes, they have a coin machine and it actually works exceptionally well (if you use it properly - i.e. don't overload the tray while it's working). And you can still use the machine even if you don't have a Commerce Bank account, however they do charge - I believe it's 10% of the total - upon completion (you take the printed receipt and they'll either give you cash or deposit the money into your Commerce Bank account). The people are very friendly and knowledgeable (and very understanding of the loud noise associated with using the coin machine haha). I try to keep my use of the coin machine limited to one pitcher of coins per trip, mostly because it's loud/disruptive and since most locations have done away with coin machines due to their frequently breaking down and generally more trouble than their worth, I don't want to give them a reason to get rid of it haha. I don't think they would but it's better to play it safe.

On the evening of 3/29/2018 I went to the branch on 150 Hwy in Lee’s Summit to use their change sorter. It was not working. It was near closing time and I needed the money to take my daughter to a show at the Sprint Center. An emergency with one of our dogs earlier in the week had cost our family a great deal of money and the change was all I had to take my daughter to the show. Seeing the coin machine at the 150 branch was down I sped to the branch at 291 and 3rd Street in Lee’s Summit. We pulled in at 525, the lobby closes at 530. I assumed I’d made it just in time, not the case though. The teller informed me that the machine had already been closed for the night. I was mad, I was a jerk to him. I asked if he could do it for me, assuming he had access to another coin counter. I gave him my bag of change and he dumped it out on his counter and began counting out my change BY HAND! He was very kind and accommodating. I could tell he was frustrated with me because, as I said, I was a jerk at first. I told him thank you and he said “Mm hmm” I’ve been in retail management for years and know what that response means. But he was nothing but nice and efficient. He kept his composure during a situation where many would have been a jerk back. He, another teller, and I sorted through the change and 25 minutes later I left with my cash. Your teller, Cody, is a stand up employee and gentleman. He and the other gentleman teller helped me even though it was past time for them to close. Please see that he knows how much I appreciate him. Thank you, Cody. You made it possible for my daughter to see all of her favorite Disney princesses.

Much better options out there, they are horribly rude and suspicious of there own clients. Would never ever recommend them. They are lacking any customer service skills. Very unfortunate!

Great bank. Have stuck with for over 10 years. Great customer service and convenient locations.
