Commerce Bank Chippewa St, St. Louis

People don't really do much inside banks anymore, so there was no line. The teller was friendly and efficient.

Wouldn’t let me open an account because I have a drivers permit and not a license. As long as I have a proof of identification and address I have never had an issue like this. Will take my business elsewhere

Absolutely the best customer service experience! Would always recommend Commerce as a bank I trust, and I've been with them for a long time!

Will never bring my others accounts over to this bank and going to pull all that I have. These employees do not know the first thing about customer service sadly. Had to call three times to try and get an issue solved and they still never called me back. Not wasting anymore of my time. At least at US Bank and Lindell Bank we are always in and out with great service so they can have my business.

Trash Bank. Extremely disorganized an inefficient. Opened an account via their online portal, came to their chippewa branch location to finalize the process and deposit funds. Everything went fine. 10 days later, new debit cards came in the mai. Cool. Came back a week or so later, account was closed and I was told they made a mistake and I should have never been allowed to open the account in the first place? All this after I had already switched all of my direct deposits and online bill pay info, linked paypal/venmo/etc. These people really need to get their act together. They wasted so much of my time and effort getting all the things set up to function effectively. They did try to sell me some products while I was waiting to be told my account was closed. Pretty slick, right?

When I went into the bank I was greeted, and I said my name, they said ok let me see who can help you.The staff was friendly. I took care of my business for which I went in there for, the young lady said is there anything else I can do for you, i said no that will be all, and on my way exiting they said my name and for me to have a good day..My experience was good no complaints.😁

For more than 40 years I have banked at Commerce and have never had a problem. They are always courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.

While the staff are very friendly, they are chronically understaffed. Their Drive-Thru is a cluster F. Also, they're chronically late in reporting your payments to the credit reporting agencies. I made three calls in the last two days to their 1-800 number, and I was placed on hold each time and never reached anyone. After waiting on hold for 17 minutes, I hung up. All these companies are using COVID-19 as an excuse for not hiring enough staff to handle their customers efficiently. I have now been trying to reach someone for five days! I have been promised call backs that never happened. Terrible bank. Incompetence at a whole new level. UPDATE: Even after speaking to a supervisor, and being promised that they would fix the error, they did NOTHING! Commerce Bank's management should be ashamed of themselves.

All of my dealings here at this location during the last 4 years have been with Miranda Braun, a personal banker. She ALWAYS goes above and beyond to make sure I have the right account/product for me and my business. She's incredibly patient and super knowledgeable. I have never received such great customer service from any Commerce Bank representative in my 25+ years of banking here. Honestly, up until Miranda my comments would have reflected a lot of the other reviews here (based on experiences at other locations) but ask for Miranda next time, I promise, your experience will be a good one!

This commerce bank is vindictive and rude. "Chrissy" and Manager retailate because of polical views. My wife presented a check she eared as donald trump's makeup artist and they wanted to put a 7 day hold on it just because. She fought for months to even get paid by that man for the work she did and chrissy called the manager over to look at it and they decided to punish us. I stated i knew why they wanted to do it and they did not denynit! So I left. Not only does commerce rearrange how transactions are posted in order to charge me extortionate amounts every month in gratuitious overdraft charges but now, I went in today with two normal salary checks and chrissy again smiled and told me 7 day hold!!!!!! I have a local business and this is my neighborhood bank, my wife is running for office soon in this district and we will not stand for this treatment. They are crooks and take too much of my money. WOST BANK EVER, GO TO GRAND OR SWITCH BANKS, THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL GROUP OF PEOPLE.
