Bank of America (with Drive-thru ATM) Reviews

Me, "I'd like to close my account" BOA employee, "when would you like to close your account?" Me, "I'm here now." BOA employee, "we don't have any appointments left for today, when would you like to schedule an appointment to come back?" Some things have to be done In person. By closing all the branches and going to an ATM based model, profits are probably way up. But at some point, this "hot garbage" customer service will erode their client base.I can only guess they haven't reached that inflection point yet. But if they keep it up, they'll get there.

Worst B of A branch I have ever been to. Horribly long lines no matter what time you go. Only a single teller on the line. The tellers and personal bankers are great and deserve a raise. But the location is severely understaffed. Management and the company seem to not care one bit even after there are countless reviews describing this problem.

Not a great experience. There's a security guard out front and a desk as you enter. I waited through the line at the desk and then stated, "I wanted to see about getting a money order, but..." and was pointed toward the long line in front of the tellers. In fact, everyone who entered after me was pointed to the same line. I'm unsure what service it provides to have someone essentially act as a door greeter. They would have been more helpful as a teller. 🤷 When I got to the front of the line, I told the teller I was not a customer but wanted to get a money order. He said it would be $15 and handed me a slip to fill out. I filled out my information and handed it back. He said, "Do you have an account here?" I blinked at him, confused. "No, that was the first thing I said." He apologized, and human error will happen, but I could have saved twenty minutes if the person at the desk had listened fully to what I came for.
We appreciate your feedback. This will help us continue to improve our processes. We hope you’ll consider Bank of America for your future banking needs. ^jan

Came in on Wednesday to present two forms of id in order to have a new card shipped due to fraud. BoA told me I'd have to wait until Tuesday until they had a banker available to do that.

I like the regular Friday afternoon group of employees, they remember me as a regular which is nice. As with all banks, it's a constant battle to reject the app. I pay a service charge every month to have access to the tellers and in person service, if I wanted to use the app, ATM, or website, I wouldn't waste my time going into the bank.
Thank you for the positive review about your recent experience with Bank of America. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know.

Okay, so I know we are still in a pandemic. But I have to say, my last experience with going into the lobby at this branch (Hampton STL) was incredibly painful. It wasn’t that I had to stand in line for 20 minutes to just make a cash deposit, but that I saw how the employees (or lack of employees) treated the people waiting in line. Obviously, people were upset that there was only “one” teller but come on BofA! You can do better! Be kinder and try to understand why your customers are unhappy! It’s not our fault you have recruiting issues! Join the club! I have been a customer, business and personal (originally with Centerre Bank) for over 30 years and service at your bank has gone downhill every year. It’s to the point where if I CAN use the ATM, to avoid having to deal with going inside, I would do so at all costs!!! I felt so incredibly sorry for the one teller you had on staff. You did a terrible thing when you closed all the drive through tellers! What were you thinking? My thought is that if it wasn’t going to be such a hassle to close my account, I would do so, but reading the comments, even doing that sounds like a nightmare. BofA, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I’d be happy to supply more information or to give your training team some pointers, obviously they are failing. I’m not going to go to you on Twitter, so don’t ask! I'm actually editing my review to respond to the lame response from BofA. What? Your response doesn't even address the rudeness of your employees to some of the customers while I was in the branch. Why don't you actually try to do a better job servicing your customers. If you are going to respond to reviews, at least TRY to do a good job! This is why you are loosing customers. It's not difficult. I'm sure many people will agree with me on this. Do better!

This bank is nothing but trash. Line out the door. Waited in line for for 20-30min to cash a check just to be told I had to get it verified and had to get back out of line when I should of been asked this when I 1st came in then tried to have me wait back in line. This location needs to be under new management someone who knows how yo run a bank

Takes FOREVER!! Always a 30-45 min wait, just to cash my check. Usually only one maybe two tellers working, which is ridiculous for a bank this size. Tellers are impersonal and cold. I despise coming to this location but sometimes I don't have a choice.

Make sure you plan to have 5 extra hours in your day to wait in line. I've currently been waiting in line for laundry quarters for about 45 mins. They started with 2 tellers and they're down to 1. Theres 15-20 people behind me with the line out the door and 10 people in front of me. Absolutely ridiculous. I'd switch banks today, but I'm afraid of how long it would take...

The Wal-mart of Bank of America Horrible wait lines with only 1 cashier working while the others are just roaming around. Waited 45mins in line with less than 5people ahead of me. I would definitely recommend trying different branch before coming here.
