We had an amazing time on our beach trip and had an awesome house! Collins rentals made everything easy from checking in and out. The ladies I spoke with over the phone were kind and helpful. The house was super clean including the floors and I loved that I immediately smelled cleaner upon our arrival. I would certainly use Collins rentals again and highly recommend them for others.

Knot-A-Care is amazing!!! A short golf-cart ride or walk to the beach and directly on one of the canals from the bay puts this home in the perfect location! This is the second time we have stayed in Knot-A-Care and we love it. It is so peaceful and serene. The owners have remodeled since we were there the first time and the new kitchen and flooring throughout is gorgeous! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed for preparing meals for our family including plates, glasses, silverware, pots/pans, pizza and cookie sheets, a muffin pan, griddle, a crockpot, and much more. I can’t think of a thing it is lacking. We spent time every day fishing from the private dock in the back yard, catching lots of catfish, pretty spotted fish and even an eel. The sunset from the dock is so beautiful that I tried to make time every day to go see it. While we were there we also kayaked in the bay, rented a pontoon boat for a day and explored the rivers, fished from the island fishing pier (old bridge), and visited the lighthouse and state park. Thank you so very much, Ralph and Lisa, for sharing your home with us. I miss it already.

We stayed at an amazing house on the beach on St George Island. Collins Vacation Rentals were who we booked our vacation beach house through and they were amazing. Beautiful beach views, and the house was so nice and fully equipped. We just brought our food and a few extras. We had the best time. And anytime we needed anything they were on it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tequila Sunset. The house is exactly as described, and was perfect for our sibling get away. The only improvement opportunities we could say was that there was only one set of bath towels per person and no hair dryer. The location directly across from the community pool and on a quiet beach was perfect! The communication via email from Collins Vacation Rentals was excellent, as well. We will definitely look at this house again when we return to SGI.

Pawpaw’s Sandbox is absolutely everything my family and I could have asked for in a vacation home. The homes decor and details are seen throughout the home as well as its history. Clean and open modern and comfortable with breathtaking views both day and night.

Rented the "Life's A Beach" house on St George Island, FL for a week in June. We enjoyed our stay at the property. The only issues we had were empty candy wrappers all over the floor in every room when we arrived. It looked like the housekeeper didn't do a great job of vacuuming. We had to go around and pick up all the wrappers to keep our little dog from trying to eat them and there were a lot of them, even under the beds. The other issue was all the light bulbs but one was blown in one of the bathrooms. We picked some up at the store and replaced a couple so we could see better in there. This property costs almost $3000 to rent for a week and I think for that price, these issues should not happen. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay at the property. The pool is nice and the beach is right across the street.

First of all, I will say we thoroughly enjoyed our time on St. George Island. The property was spacious a perfect layout and great for family. The reason I can only give it three stars is the condition and the disarray. When we arrived, there were dishes in the cabinet that were not clean and we had to run them in the dishwasher again. The furniture, while comfy and beach like, it's time to replace. Bad stains on the counter chairs, duct tape over rips in dining room chair, and the rugs are way past a useful life. Spotted, stained and in need of replacement. The kitchen was fairly well equipped but instead of having two full blocks of knives, it would've been nice to have a pot holder or a dish rag. We had neither. On both the front and back porches, the Adirondack chairs had arms that were either falling off or had fallen off. With a little bit of love and maintenance, this could surely be a five star property again. I understand this property is for sale as is, but in the condition it's in I'm not so sure I would pay the price again.

Another great vacation on SGI. Rented All Decked Out with a swimming pool and easy beach access. Seven days of beautiful weather with only one morning of summer showers. Our family enjoyed our time together on this lovely island we have enjoyed for decades.

The location was wonderful. Easy beach access. It was nice to have a pool. I feel like the pictures of the place were slightly misleading. It looks like they may have been taken a while ago. The exterior wasn’t as kept up as it seemed in the picture. The appliances were not wiped down. Some of the pans and utensils still had food on there. I don’t think that this is a reflection of Collins as much as it is on the cleaning company they use. Overall the booking and check in was great and I would use Collins again.

4.5 stars Pros: Location was excellent. About a mile to the town so far enough that it’s not busy on the beach but close enough to walk to the restaurants. The house is nicely appointed with all the kitchenware needed to cook. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for 10-12 people. The beach itself is really lovely. Great porches on both levels to sit in the shade. Nice little pool that warms up in the afternoon. Great time of year to visit. It’s not too hot or too busy. Cons: The pillows are awful. Will know to bring our own next year. The bunk beds were not stable. They wobbled terrible anytime one of the kids rolled over and woke them up. The other mattresses weren’t bad and comfortable if only one person in the bed. But with 2 people, the fact that they’re not foam means if one person moves, the other is jostled around and woken up. Perhaps foam toppers would be helpful. Overall a nice, clean place to enjoy a week on the beach.

This house is perfect for us. Separate area for me (the grandmother) on the third living floor with 4 other bedrooms (two en-suite) and the other 2 jack and Jill on the second floor. Each floor has its own large deck with plenty of seating. It was clean and furnishings were beautiful!! All mattresses were very comfortable. My suggestions are only trivial things; comfort height toilets needed, adult ht. Vanities in bathrooms. Pool heater wasn’t working and wasn’t repaired u til last day. Someone needs to check these major things prior to guest arrival. They really tried to get it fixed but had issues with the pool company. Our 400.00 fee was refunded in full. Overall, I would buy this home in a heartbeat. We just rebooked at the office while checking. BTW. The elevator that serviced all floors was a godsend for me. Severe osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis with six joint replacements; and that gave me freedom to go anywhere. It helped that the distance between the houses walkway stairs and the ocean was just a few yards. Can’t say enough about this house and Collins Vacation Rentals.

We spent the month of January in Attitude Adjuster and found it more than adequate. The description understates how beautiful and private the property is. It’s a five-minute walk from the beach, but the walks are very pleasant. In fact, the Plantation has a great system of miles of nature paths and bike paths, so it’s a great place to get walking exercise if that’s what you are looking for. The house is well laid out, but like many older, mid-price rentals it could use some upgrades/replacements of some furniture and appliances (outdoor grill and kitchen stove), but everything works. We would rent it again. Collins was excellent to deal with. Jackie is the best, responding promptly and professionally throughout the entire booking process and stay. Follow-up on a second rental: We spent the month of February in Beach Foam Baby and were delighted with it. We also continue to be very pleased with Collins, and especially with Jackie who handles all our bookings. She is very professional and responds quickly to all emails. We had reserved a different property, but its renovations were not complete, so we were offered this house, which was actually an upgrade. The house is in a great location near the beach and has a partial view of the Gulf. We also liked the layout of the house, with all areas well-planned and very comfortable living-room furniture. It is a new house, so everything is up to date, including smart TVs in all rooms with excellent Internet bandwidth. There are even a dozen high-quality beach towels, along with miscellaneous beach and pool equipment. The only thing that was missing were the utensils for the outside grill, I assume because some previous renters made off with them, but Collins delivered us new ones right away. We would definitely rent it again.

We loved our vacation at St George. Collins responded quickly to a minor concern. They even offered Laundry service while we waited for the washer to be repaired. The house was nice. The only complaint was that the mattresses were very loud and uncomfortable, and need to be replaced. The Kitchen was well stocked and we loved the pool!

Seas the Moment This house is nice. Love it's gated. Beautiful pool for this gated area. We were only ones in the area using pool. Sunsets on Bay were beautiful! House had some window issues that homeowners were working on in a timely manner, after we had a window fall out and hit the ground below from 2nd floor dining room. Was very scary and are thankful no one was hurt. Feel it should have been addressed before we arrived. Maintenance said they were awaiting window estimates. Window company came and made a mess with the caulking making floors sticky and they didn't clean up. Nothing to do with homeowners and was not their fault. Homeowners were sorry and apologized for our inconvenience and that had happened with window falling out. Sent wine, bread, cheese, chips & salsa, chocolate covered pretzels. Nice and considerate. White sand Beautiful ⛱️ beach. Beds were comfy. Cool beach finds sand dollars, conch shells 🐚, sea shells. Suggest having cooler, corn hole, sand toys, wave boards maybe kayaks for guest use. Useful info 3 sets of stairs no elevator. Very nice porches. 1 screened porch. Maybe consider screening a porch with ocean views mosquitoes are bad after sunset 🌅 no good restaurants on island was disappointing. Recommend grocery on way nothing close and is expensive. overall great experience would recommend home. It was great for relaxing and beach/pool days. If you need busy and entertaining not the place for you.

We stayed at 'Tangled Up in Blue' which was a lovely house with beautiful decor, well equipped kitchen, good floor plan, plenty of space & a green pool. When we arrived on Sunday we instantly knew something was up with the pool & promptly called Collins at 9:04 Monday morning to let them know the pool was green. We were told they would contact the pool people... we never saw pool people nor heard from anyone from Collins unless we called them for an update. Finally pool people showed up & by Tuesday evening we were told by Collins the pool was safe for our 7 grandchildren to swim in, but by Saturday afternoon the pool was looking to concerning again to swim in & by Sunday morning we knew the next group checking in was going to be experiencing the same issue. It's now Sunday evening & so far 3 of our party are on antibiotics for ear & eye infections from the pool bacteria.

This was our second stay in as many visits. We have been vacationing on SGI for around 20+ years. We had a great stay at the Blue Nirvana. The house has plenty of room for a large group. The laundry room with a walk-in shower is a plus. The kitchen is well stocked with about every you would need

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Staying Tip-Sea last week. The place was updated and decorated nicely. The living room furniture was very comfortable. The beds were decently comfortable. The kitchen had nice appliances and good quality dishes. The only thing I needed that I couldn't find was a pizza cutter. Also, it might be good to add that there is a Keurig machine AND a regular coffee maker. The description only said Keurig, so I bought K-cups especially for the trip. I would also suggest adding blinds or curtains for privacy on the front door. The screened in back porch was great, along with the fenced in back yard for our dog. Overall, we had a fantastic trip and felt comfortable and at ease in our home away from home all week.

The rental property we stayed while on St. George Island was the perfect space for four adults and one baby. The kitchen was small, but functional. I made cupcakes and was able to use everything needed to make them. We were on the first floor, very nice. There are three sliding doors that lead to the outside. One in the master bedroom, and two in the living area. We were close to the pool and access to the beach. There are a few chairs outside to enjoy the sounds of the waves and a great view of the beach and the ocean. The condo is in walking distance to shops, food, and other things. The only minor thing I disliked were the dining table chairs, they were kinda big for the space. Over all, it's a great place. Also, take advantage of the Explorie. I was able to rent a bike for the week for free. The Collins Vacation rentals and Explorie staff are friendly, professional, and helpful.

Summer Salt is a nice and comfortable rental! Had a great time! , UNTIL Collins housekeeping entered the rental on our last day before we checked out, went to town to get a bag of ice for our cooler, when we returned house keeping was in the house they had moved our personal items to the front door, threw our food and drinks out, had been through the drawers and closets, there was 6 to 8 people in our rental, moving and going through things, stripping beds and did not leave when we returned, had to ask to get in the rest room to use, threw away our food and drink to take with our medication. Very disappointing all before 10 am check out time!! Contract states 10 am check out, housekeeping arrived 1.5 hours early while we went to town! Unable to leave review for owners! Forced out early! We enjoyed ourselves very much! However, the poor internet connection was very difficult for us and made it sometimes impossible to for my husband to work. Also the bedroom carpets are stained and dirty looking. Hope they can be shampooed successfully. All of the staff at Collins have been very nice and responsive throughout the whole rental process. Thank you!

The house was lovely. Great views of the ocean and sunrise. We loved the deck and spent lots of time there. Bedrooms were spacious and comfy. It is very close to the beach too which was really nice. We picked this place because we needed an elevator. We did not have the key upon arrival and it did not work on the last day. These were the two times we really needed it. The air conditioning did not work well on the top floor. It was 77 degrees all week. It was a bit too warm for us. Maintenence did come and change batteries but that did nothing. The refrigerator had issues too. Took 2 days to reach cool Temps. Maintenance brought a large cooler with ice and that was a fine solution. The half bath did not have a hand towel. Overall a nice place but missing some of the details we look for when picking our vacation spot on St. George Island. We come every year. Collins was very responsive when we called and checked in almost everyday.

We payed around 3,000 for this home and it was not worth the money. We have been coming to SGI for over 20 years and we were greatly disappointed. The dish washer was broken almost the entire time we were there. We called immediately to report it and no one came out until Thursday evening to fix it. The carpet throughout the house looks very dirty, paint is chipped, pillows are paper thin, we never could get the living room tv to work, the outside furniture is very cheap plastic, and the tub is so narrow it’s almost impossible to lay in. The ONLY thing we appreciated about the house was being beach front & the location being close to me the center of the island. There are many beautiful houses on the island and I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Our rental house was fine; clean, roomy and close to the water. The pool was good and lots of shade to sit by the pool if you didn’t want to swim. The house was in good shape. The beds were ok and so nice to have king beds when sharing with others besides a spouse! The best part was that there was plenty of seating in the living area so you could talk and watch tv and everyone had a comfortable seat. This is so important when you have a large group. We have been renting every year for the last 35 years and this is one of the few that had ample seating for everyone. The kitchen was too small and the refrigerator was small and it died the day before we left. They sent a maintenance man out to check it, but not fix it (guess he was just making sure it was really not functioning)? So we had to put all of our food in coolers with ice to keep it from spoiling. However, the rental company was a huge disappointment. We’ve rented from Collins before and haven’t had a problem. We called to see if the house was ready and they said it had been cleaned but not inspected yet so we could not go in. We had to wait until the 5:00pm final check in hour to get in, but the inspector never showed up to inspect the house. So they basically made us sit there for 4 hours for nothing. And one of their employees (Courtney) was extremely rude each time we talked with her. The house was supposed to have wifi, but it never worked the entire week. They put in a work order, but said it would probably be next week when it would be serviced. All in all we had a good time, but we will probably use a different rental company from now on due to the lack of service provided.

Stayed for the 4th July (2022) with another couple. GREAT location on the beach in SGI, reasonable price & home was no frills/perfect for what we needed. Open lot next door allowed for additional space between us & the next people on the beach. House was cleaned nicely when we arrived & Collins had great communication with us the entire time! Will be renting from them again.

The Birdhouse was just perfect for me and a friend. The furniture was very comfortable. The kitchen was well supplied. And the view of the bay was spectacular. I would definitely stay here again.

The best we could have asked for. We received many emails leading up to our vacation, list of activities, as well as check in and check out info. Collins staff called with updates, ie new washer being delivered. We were a block from the beach, had a beach view from deck, kids loved the pool, outside shower was great for limiting amount of sand in house. It was our first visit to St. George Island, we will definitely be back. It's quiet, not crowded, and relaxing!!! Apalachicola was a short 15 minute trip, that we made often for groceries, cvs, shopping, exploring Bayfront, etc. Highly recommend Collins Vacation Rental, as we had no problems at all, unlike our past vacations booked thru other companies.

Location was outstanding! House was almost perfect Some electrical outlet didn't work and face plates missing, we had small children Was concerning The TV situation was not ideal Out of the 5 TV only 2 worked But, fixing those few things it was outstanding!! I highly recommend this house, this beach location, absolutely breath taking place!

High Cotton was very comfortable, well stocked, clean and a great location. My complaints are there were no clothes hangers in 4 of the 5 bedrooms and very limited chest storage for clothes. Our stay was enjoyed by all.

It was our first time staying at the Villas on St. George Island but we will stay again! It was a very nice condo! Checking in and out was very easy thanks to the staff with Collins Vacation Rentals!

This was our first time at Golden Ruhl and we really enjoyed it. Cute, bright, open and beachy feeling. Well equipped kitchen, too, if cooking at home. The are two things that need improvement, the master matress is ready for replacing and the outdoor shower has water coming out of everwhere but the showerhead :-) Not dealbreakers but do need correction. We will definitely be back to this cute beach house.

We had a great time despite the house not being cleaned upon our arrival (even though we waited an hour after the scheduled check in for this to be done, found a spit/dip bottle sitting next to the bedside table), the stair railing were filthy and the carpet was sandy, some of the beds had missing linens (twins), and the elevator broke 1/2 way through our trip (although maintenance had it fixed promptly). We made the best of it, cleaned it again and tried to enjoy ourselves despite. This house and our stay could have been 100% better if the cleaning crew had done a better job. The house was very close to the beach and we made great family memories. We would love to do it again minus the cleanliness issues.

Our stay in one of the villas was wonderful! Beach views and easy access, nice pool. Check in and checkout were very quick and easy. We will be booking again!

St. George Island, FL. was beautiful and the house location was great. We stayed at the Just a Splash house. We were disappointed in the shape of the house. It needs major upgrades such as the carpet was filthy, the showers were cracked and water was standing in the bottom. The windows were dirty with some of the screens falling out. It is definitely a home from the 80"s and hasn't been upgraded since that time. Antennas on the router for the WIFI were falling off and was scotch taped back on. The dish washer fell out of the hole when we opened it up. Also, the right front burner on the stove did not work. It ended up being unplugged. The sheet rock on the ceiling was falling off. It needed a good painting too. This house has so much potential with its great location. We do appreciate James, the Maitenance attendant for such a quick response and being super helpful. Also, the flood lights are rusted and falling off the house. There was no light to climb the stairs at night.

Sea Dawg was a spacious, beautiful house right across the street from the beach. Amazing views, amazing house. We had a wonderful vacation!

Very nice 3 bedroom condo at Ocean Mile in B-3. Beautifully decorated and plenty of room for our family of 5.

We had an amazing experience staying at The Sandcastle. Everything about our trip was a pleasure. The house is beautiful. Every room is beautifully decorated and so pleasant to be in. We loved that the kitchen is on the top floor; offering an amazing view for everyone. The way to the beach was just feet from the house; which was perfect with having small children. The kitchen was stocked with almost anything you need. Honestly everything about this home helped us have an amazing get away. Collins Vacation rental helped make everything a very easy check in and check out process, with no contact needed. They also offered lots of information about the area and things to do. We will definitely be returning. :)

High Cotton is a fabulous home, well-kept and no maintenance issues. I love that it’s pet friendly. I also loved the outdoor shower and the wrap-around decks. Very relaxing vacation, great week for this extended three-generation family. The elevator was a blessing, especially on check-in and check-out days. Can’t afford it next year, though; they are raising rents faster than we can save for ☹️

BE WARE. We rented a home via Collins. We arrived late in the evening and had difficulty getting the door to open. Once inside this beach front home we quickly became aware that the home was in disrepair. I took pictures of the broken fixtures, the broken tile, the mold etc. First thing Thursday morning I contacted Collins and told them the condition of the house and that we could not stay there. They had us come to the office and told us they were surprised by the condition of the rental. They asked that we share our pictures so they could let the owner know. I was surprised and mentioned how could they not know? That question was brushed off. We were moved to a very nice home but were told it could not accommodate our entire vacation time. We were expecting extended family, including my 90 yr old mother for our daughter’s wedding. Once we relocated our belongings we were told we would be charged for cleaning the initial house because we had stayed there one night.We we’re also charged the higher rate of the house we were moved too as well as another cleaning fee for that house. In our opinion we were treated as if it was our fault that Collins was not aware of the condition of the beach front home.Never again will we rent from Collins By the way if you go to Collin’s site and see Irish Sea Breeze there are no posts! That’s because they don’t approve negative reviews!

We love Sandalwood from Collins Vacation Rentals. It is close to the beach and has a great deck with a dog gate latch. From what I gather, the property has new owners. They’ve painted the natural wood an ocean blue. They’ve painted the inside, upgraded the tvs and gotten some new furniture. However, there wasn’t a broom to sweep, no screen on the glass door in the master bedroom, the window sashes were cut so windows had to be opened from the top, there were no chairs for the outside deck table and the refrigerator and freezer did not cool properly. Collins did give us a 25% discount for the week , a cooler and unlimited ice, but the cooler’s drainage hole did not have a cover so water got all over the floor….and I would have preferred to have a working freeze instead of ice.

This is our second time renting with Collins. The first experience was amazing! The other property we rented from them was well taken care of and the rental process was a breeze. As for this visit…It left something to be desired. We decided to rent a different property(Florida E State). Our rental had a significant amount of damage. For example, two chairs were broken and the couch cushions had gaping holes leaking stuffing. The picnic table on the deck was warped and unusable. The boards on said deck also need to be replaced and the holes in between them need to be addressed. The beds are well passed needing to be replaced. There was noticeable amount of damage in almost every room(such as broken lamps) except for the bathrooms. We were sorely disappointed by the condition of the property we rented this time around. The photos provided displayed a house that would make for a pleasant vacation. Unfortunately, that was not what we found during our stay. The only two reasons this is not a one star review is due to our previous experience and Collins customer service. However, someone needs to do a better job inspecting these properties. This was horrendous at best. If I could have left this rental the first day I would have. The lack of quality of this rental property is unacceptable for its price point and location.

We loved everything about the house (Down Time) except the guest bedroom beds. HARD AS ROCKS! So all my guests had neck and back problems by the end of the week and couldn't sleep to enjoy their vacation! If I'm spending $4000 a week to rent this house, you can spend $800 on better beds! Also, they need a new or better water filter on the fridge. There were literally clumps of calcium and mold in every drop of water, leaving white powder everywhere in our drinks and on our dishes. The location is perfect otherwise. Very much enjoyed being a 5 minute bike ride away from the community pool and a 2 minute walk down the board walk to the ocean at our back door!

We loved the setting of Summer Place, with such wonderful accessibility to the beach. However, the cottage is in need of repair (wonky subfloors and separating vinyl flooring)… Which we assumed was because of Hurricane Michael. There appears to be a possible mold problem around the ceiling ducts in the guest room, and a drain issue with the tub. All window blinds were in need of repair or replacement. The eating bar on the porch was unusable because there were no chairs to reach it. However, to be fair, the bed was comfortable, the fridge and A/C were cold, and the oven worked. Given a little TLC, this is would have been an enchanting little escape. This in no way reflects the professional women with Collins who booked our stay…Amber and her coworker were exceptional, friendly and attentive. 😄

We have been renting with Collins for about 15 years. Every time has been excellent. We have stayed at 5 different properties and all have been very clean and wonderful. We do have our favorites and but we have not rented a house that has disappointed us. The staff is always professional and friendly. On the rare occasion that we had to report a problem it was rectified very quickly. We love SGI and Collins Vacation Rentals!

The one-star shown here isn't related to the Collins Vacation Rental staff. They did a fabulous job on all the paperwork, follow through and repairs (see below). The unit we rented, H-3 at the Villas of St. George, has a remarkable view of the gulf. That counts for a lot. Unfortunately the unit itself is in dire need of updates. Upon entering, the carpet on the stairs was dingy and needs a deep clean (better yet, replaced). Likewise, the hand railing leading up to both levels had a thick coat of grime. Tried to clean it, but too many layers to get through it all. The kitchen was nicely equipped with every utensil, dish or tool you might need. The fridge is old (very old) and has stains around the ice/water paddles. The coffee maker was simply gross, with indelible stains on the glass. A $20 investment could remedy. Upstairs, the bedrooms were very nice and clean. The master bath, however, has visible rust on the sink fixtures and should be replaced. On the second night we were there, the AC failed in the upper level, rendering it uninhabitable. A call the next morning to the Collins maintenance team was easy and some fans were brought in. A temporary repair was made by early afternoon and we were quite happy about that (!). Two days later a crew removed the old units from the roof for the permanent repair. Again, Collins was so easy to deal with and they generously refunded a portion of our stay. So while we wouldn't request this specific unit again, we would love to come back to SHI and let Collins Vacation Rentals set that up for us.

We had the best vacation. Collins Rentals is easy friendly, quick to respond to all needs and the house was unbelievably fantastic. We even wanted to stay longer lol but it was already booked. We will definitely be back!

Cut Bait was a wonderful choice for our family vacation! The location was perfect; quiet and a little secluded. After years of vacationing on 30A, SGI was a wonderful, relaxing change! The house is well equipped and offers plenty of room. The top floor patio is perfect for watching breath-taking sunsets!

We had the best time at Wild Oats!! We felt right at home and had everything we needed. We try to go to a new place (town,beach) every year, but we liked the island and Wild Oats so much we would definitely come back again. We saw dolphins everyday, weather was perfect, and the sea turtles were laying while we were there, we walked early and found a new nest then got the meet the turtle ladies, they were great! We got to watch them confirm the nest, so cool! Definitely prefer the east end where Wild Oats is located. Travel tip, stop and get groceries items before you get there, like make a point to do this, no Walmart or target close by. You can find everything you need at the piggly wiggly and CVS across bridge in Apalachicola, and there is a much smaller Piggly Wiggly on the island for things you need throughout the week. (The grocery store across from island pig is extremely over priced) We loved Wild Oats, thanks so much!!

Loved our week on St. George staying at a Piece of Heaven! We usually vacation along 30A and I think we will be staying on the island from now on. This house was perfect for our families (5 kids and 4 adults). The pool was wonderful and a great option after the beach or in the evenings. There was plenty of parking for four cars, two boats and a golf cart. Highly recommend bringing a golf cart or renting one. The walk to the beach was doable but longer than expected (not across the street from the house). But the golf cart made it easier to carry all the chairs, umbrellas, towels, snacks and toys with kids. The house was great for our crew - very clean but lived in. All the beds were comfortable and there were plenty of dishes in the kitchen to accommodate us cooking each day. We can’t wait to come back next year!

We had a great vacation. We've rented beach homes for many years. The last 2 we've used rental companies and the personal touch is missing. I'm sure covid is a part of that. They are cleaned and mostly well maintained. They have a maintenance staff on site that can help with any issues. Our kitchen was well stocked with dishes however spices and that sort of things are no longer stocked. This is the first beach home we have rented and had zero Beach items available to use. We usually also leave a few items as well. Also check in is not till 5:00. I understand the reasoning during a busy season... We had flown in and had to wait. The home we rented was for sale and they did have somebody come and view it with our permission. Overall a good experience.

The location was perfect. The facts that there were no large groups gathered, there were no high rises, there were no convention centers gave us a very restful and peaceful stay. Our unit was right on the ocean with wonderful decks to enjoy the view. Having the only bathrooms on the top floor was a little difficult, but we managed. The unit had everything we needed, but the entry was uninviting. The door to the refrigerator looked unsanitary, but it worked fine. Overall, we would highly recommend this rental and Collins Rentals.

Spring Break at The Crab Trap: March 26 – April 2, 2022 Pros: Location: The house is less than a block from the beach/gulf (5–10 minute walk max) and block from a nature preserve and the bay (5-7 minute walk). A mile from the village center with shops and restaurants. The island in general is pretty quiet and not too touristy without high rise condos, etc. A third of the island is a private neighborhood (The Plantation), a third is a State Park and a third is residential/village. Bikeable: There’s a bike path right down the street that leads straight into town and we often biked to dinner, the lighthouse, etc. and left the van parked most of the week. Private Pool: It was so nice to have a private pool connected to the house. The kids were in it multiple times a day. Just wish it was heated. The adults thought it was little cold – especially when it was in the shade. The pool area is secluded with palm trees and hedges. Lots of Room: We had 6 people (3 adults and 3 kids) and 2 dogs and had more than enough room. With two of the rooms with king beds and the other with a queen. The master suite on the top floor is nice and quiet. Porches: There’s a deck off the dining area and a screened in porch off the living room. We used both multiple times. There’s also a great patio area downstairs right next to the pool. We sat out and watched shooting stars one night on one of the porches. Ocean Breeze: We had the windows open all week and could hear the ocean and had a nice breeze. Didn’t run the AC once. Cons: Bugs: If there wasn’t any breeze the noseeums/sandflies and mosquitoes would come out at night. We definitely got a few bites if you didn’t apply bug spray. Musty Downstairs Suite: There’s a bedroom and half/bath on the ground floor. Unfortunately, it had a musty/dog smell and was too strong for any of our party to sleep in. A Little Worn: It is a well-used rental. The sliding screen doors on the doorwall porches fell off multiple times or wouldn’t slide without significant force. Some of the kitchen cabinets have a musty smell. The kitchen sink faucet is leaky. All these items were reported to maintenance. No Recycling: There is garbage service, but no recycling. It would be nice if there was a spot to collect recycling as well. Golf Carts: Golf carts are popular on the island, but they’re not allowed on the main road into town, so people like to use the dirt road in front of the house to travel. There was a pretty steady stream of golf carts going by the house morning to night. Marshmallow Beds: All the beds have very soft memory foam pads on top the mattresses. If you like a super soft bed that you sink in to then you’ll love it. If you like a little firmer mattress you might want to remove them.

This was our first time staying on St. George Island and our first time using Collins Realty. Everything went so smoothly and the beach home was in an excellent location- gulf front, only steps from the beach, all amenities were great! We could walk to restaurants and stores, even to the lighthouse! It couldn’t have been better. We’ll definitely be back! Though there were only two of us on this vacation trip, the beach house we chose, American Pie, had plenty of room for our entire family. If you choose this rental you’ll be so pleased. The decor is retro, which we loved! The screened porch kept the no seeums away and we enjoyed both beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the upper open porches. Star gazing at night was spectacular😊 I can’t say enough good things about this rental! It was an excellent first experience all the way around!

We arrived at the same time as the first red tide in years. It was so sad, but the views from our balcony were amazing. The house was great and the plantation s community pools were fun as well. On our last full day there, we noticed a volunteer at a sea turtle nest and of course I was curious. She told me they had hatched a few nights before and they were doing an evaluation, which is digging up the nest and counting hatched vs unhatched eggs. However they found on last baby turtle in the nest and my family got to see it released. A truly once in a lifetime experience.

Disappointed, the house just seemed worn & shabby. Living room furniture needs cleaned & could be replaced. Bottom of top kitchen cabinet is quite a hazard resulting in hitting your head easily. Teflon skillet needs replaced as bottom is deteriorated. No Teflon spatulas available. The curtains in the living room & upper bedroom were stained & need washed. Walls & baseboards could use a cleaning. Upper bedroom tub jets were moldy & I can’t imagine anyone wanting to take a bath in that thing. Filling in the upper bedroom comforter was bunched & that needs replaced. House just needs an overall cosmetic update. Positives include: great views & location, nice porch & pool furniture, pool nice, kitchen generally well equipped but minimal food storage space. We wouldn’t rent this house again.

We enjoyed this house very much. There is a few maintenance items that need attention. As a renter we feel it is our responsibility to advise you of these issues. 1. Recessed light bulbs in common area 2. Twin bedroom has leaky faucet 3. Beachside king bathroom-flushing problem 4. Kitchen cabinet door broken 5. Cold air return needs cleaning The following is a list of suggestions that would make this house almost perfect for a family of our size: 1. Switch twin & queen bedroom to allow privacy for couple using queen bed 2. Window coverings for deck doors to help with morning sun for those using sleeper bed We have already booked Cloud Nine for 2023. Thank you for understanding our helpful hints. Until next year! Collins vacation rentals were amazing. However the condo we rented was a nightmare. It had so much wrong with it. Villa G-4. The upstairs air was terrible it froze up and would not work half the time. The dryer was not vented outside so the hall bath stayed hot. Both toilets ran constantly. The hall bath tub leaked into the ceiling downstairs over the bar area. There were previous patches on the ceiling from prior leaks.The carpet as you enter going upstairs is very dirty.The plug that you pull up in the master bath tore up and the screws pulled thru so we could not use that bath tub. Internet went out the day before we left. We had a great time on the island, but will never rent this condo again.

It was the perfect house for our family to spend the week together. The large open living room and fully stocked Kitchen made family time together comfortable and with two refrigerators and any type of kitchen appliances you could imagine we felt right at home. There was plenty of sleeping space and the views and and access to the beach were phenomenal!! Hoping to plan another trip next year!!

The location of the house is wonderful, and we especially enjoyed the convenience of being beachfront. However, this home needs a lot of attention. 3 out of 4 of the televisions did not work for the majority of our trip. The boardwalk is very unsafe, with nails sticking up, broken and lose boards. The bedrooms are on the bottom level, and you hear every single noise from above. The bedding was very uncomfortable- hard and lumpy mattresses, old and scratchy comforter, and fitted sheet would not stay on the mattress. The furnishing and decor was very outdated. We had originally booked this house for 2022 and 2023, but after staying here we have since canceled our summer 2023 booking. Hopefully this house gets some TLC in the future.

We had an amazing time at Barefoot Dream Thankful for the early entrance to the house. Beautiful views from all rooms. Nice to have big beds for all couples. Easy walk to the beach Thank you for a great family vacation

St. George Island is beautiful. Barefoot dreams is an older home with much needed updates. The air conditioner was not working in guest room on main floor. Freezer was not able to freeze water. The living room furniture is very worn and in need of replacing. When you walk in it smells clean but ceiling fans, lamps, under the beds and base boards are in need of a deep cleaning. If these things were fixed and cleaned I would give it a two thumbs up.

Beachfront was convenient, and the complex was nice, but the villa could’ve been furnished nicer. Bedroom furniture was old and worn, mattress was very uncomfortable and we couldn’t adjust the air conditioner lower than 70. There were no ceiling fans. We left early due to not sleeping well. The bathroom ceiling had several noticeable spots of black mold. We will likely stay at the complex again, but not this particular unit. It could be nice if a little more money was invested in updating it.

Sol Seaker of St. George Island is a wonderful home in which to stay! Perfectly situated to face the ocean and the sunrises, this home has a screened-in porch and 7 long, living room windows to enjoy the views, not to mention the wide front porch on which to sit. The four long windows in the master bedroom also provide beautiful ocean vistas while you are sitting in bed. This home is furnished with just enough-what you need, but not too much- and an excellent mattress in the master bedroom . The best location to watch the dolphins swim by every morning is sitting on the front porch while you drink your coffee! We saw groups of six and eight dolphins swim by.

We truly enjoyed our stay with Collins Vacation Rentals. St. George Island did not disappoint! We love the relaxed and peaceful island. To say it is a beautiful place is an understatement! We will definitely return in the future.

Temptation Island was amazing. Loved all the updated decor. Loved being right on the beach. Weather was high in 70s so the hot tub was a plus. Only downfall was washer/dryer being on ground floor and having to go outside downstairs to get to.

We love St. George Island and we loved working with the folks at Collins Realty. Every contact we had with y’all was friendly and flawless. The only problem was the peculiar little house we stayed in. Everything was just a little too small. Kitchen too narrow. Refrigerator too small. Dull knives with no knife sharpener. Master bedroom toilet area so small that the toilet roll pushed against your left arm when sitting down and the door to the toilet/shower area had to be carved out so the handle of the shower door wouldn’t hit the door. Master bedroom sink was … one sink. One foot wider and two sinks could have been used. There was one power outlet by the sink. This is 2021. People use lots of electrical appliances. So there was a lot of crowding around the one sink and plugging and unplugging. There was no half bath so other guests had to use the master bath room. The TV was dinky. I’ve seen better in a Motel 8. Lamps in master bedroom were equally cheap and dinky. The back screened in porch was very nice. The living room was adequate in size if a bit narrow. All in all this was a cheaply built, undersized (and probably over priced) house that was poorly designed. With all that said, we didn’t spend much time there and we had a great time on the island. I suspect that many of the houses at The Plantation are similar. We certainly won’t rent there again.

Every summer our family of about 13 spends a week at St. George Island. This year we stayed at She Sells Sea Shells which is directly on the beach and has a private pool. It was wonderful to be able to access the beach so easily. The kids like to spend time on the beach, rinse off the sand then jump in the pool. The house is an older house but kept up well with unique charm. Fenced in deck on the top floor with locked gates to keep the dog from getting out. There is a shaded area under the house and by the pool with chairs and swings. It only 4 bedrooms and we usually like 5 but we made it work because there is one room with two queens and another bedroom with two kings. The view of the beach from the living room is gorgeous. Our week at St. George is always filled with fun family time. We will be back next year. I find that Collins is so easy to work with and their website is easy to navigate to find just what we're looking for. If the house is missing anything that we need all we have to do is call and it is delivered. We couldn't ask for better service.

We have enjoyed staying at the Bosco Belle this week! It is one of our favorite rental beach homes. It was very clean and has everything we need for cooking in both kitchens. It is great house for multiple families to stay in as it is very spacious and is set up with two living areas upstairs and downstairs. The pool was super clean and was a poplular spot while we stayed. The deck was huge and a great place to sit and watch for dolphins. The back patio, deck and pool have lots of furniture and lounge chairs for multiple people. I especially liked the walkway to the beach with a shower and hose for washing off the sand. It e en had an Alexa to meet our music listening needs. We will definitely try to come back to Bosco Belle again!!

This was the second year I have stayed at Sea la Vie. You can’t beat the location to the beach, the cut and the beautiful sunsets. However the owner hasn’t invested back into their home for a long time. Very worn and tired. Needs a complete refresh. Collins people are great to work with and accommodated what they could.

Collins Rentals is great. We had an a/c issue and they handled it so quickly and were very accommodating. Not the first time we’ve rented though them and always have had a good experience.

My family and I stayed at Beach Happy in St George Isle, FL and were totally pleased. The house included an elevator- it was needed as it is 3 stories- pack and play plus high chair, many beach chairs , floats, beach wagons and every kitchen pots and pans needed. It is a beautiful home with 2 dens including a pool table. My young grandchildren had fun and learned the game of pool plus a large swimming pool. The Plantation incudes 2 Olympic size pools, pickle ball and tennis courts and the island is gorgeous at the state park plus vouchers for a free bike, free dvds, free ice cream cones and free 3 hour kayak ride. I highly recommend this home.

We stayed at Golden Ruhl. View was wonderful. House was spacious and well equipped. DVD player was not compatible with TV. We killed two bugs in two separate bedrooms. Will rent from Collins again.

Great location, very cozy, kitchen was well stocked with pans etc. The dishes were perfect. The only complaint is the bed in the master suite, mattress was like sleeping on a hammock, sagged in the middle. Very uncomfortable for a 2 week stay. I would definitely rent again if the mattress was fixed.

Stayed at the Blue Nirvana and place was not worth the price we had to pay. All deck furniture was cracked and in terrible shape, ice maker was broken, dish washer didn’t work, oven racks were rusty and baking pans were rusty also. Every time you took a shower the water backed up in kitchen sink and smelled like sewer. The fireplace was out of commission and the internet for tv buffered so much you couldn’t watch it. The refrigerator was so outdated and crisper drawers were broke and light bulb was hanging loose. The bathroom light covers were hanging down and had to take them down to be able to see. Wouldn’t recommend them.

Our family enjoyed our stay in Amethyst. The proximity to the beach and private pool were definite pluses with our 4 small children this week. We were disappointed however with the weak internet/wi-fi connection. With two days of rain during our stay it would have been nice to have tv and internet access. 😩

Avoid working with this company at all costs. We booked a home with them months in advance for a vacation. Weeks before our arrival our booking was canceled without notice. At that point all other properties were booked and we were left with no other options. They were not helpful at all in finding anything else and did not offer comp. Only book here if you have a solid backup plan because there is a non zero chance that you will be left without anywhere to go.

Excellent location. Loved the private pool. Restful front porch- circular drive is a plus! Lots of linens- well stocked kitchen. Great place to stay.

I thought the business was amazing. They were very quick to respond to every question we had leading up to our trip. I will definite use Collins Vacation rentals again. Probably won’t get the same house again. The house we stayed in was really low on glasses and good lighting. I’m glad we brought our own solo cups and didn’t care too much about how we looked. It also has very limited storage places for food and beverages. We had to get a bit creative. Overall it was clean and served our purposes okay.

We stayed at the Sandcastle. Beautiful home, wonderful amenities, could in no way ask for more. Last year we stayed at the Buccaneer. Nice folks but dated rooms. It was a little more expensive to stay at the Sandcastle, but worth every dime. The Collins people were nice and responsive. I don't think we ever met them in person, but I'm sure we could have. This trip was an 11 out of 10. We'll be back and we'll use Collins. Thank you all for a great vacation.

My husband and I have used Collins Vacation Rentals many times over the years and have always been extremely satisfied with their customer service, response times and the properties we booked. Until now. One year ago (December 2020) my husband and I decided we were going to rent a place at St. George for a full month rather than our usual one week vacation since we had both recently retired. We had two non negotiable requirements: The house must be beach front and dog friendly. If we were going to be there for a month we wanted our pups with us while being right on the beach for every sunrise and sunset! We chose December 2021 so we could have lots of time to plan to host friends and family throughout the month, celebrate Christmas with our kids and grand kids and still have our own time together. After choosing the perfect house we were beyond excited anticipating and planning our trip over this past year! Family members booked flights and arranged their vacations around our month at the beach. Then, with three weeks left before our trip was supposed to begin, Collins called to tell us the house we booked and paid for last year was no longer available. She told us the owner decided to start some renovations (Cosmetic? Storm damage??) and asked Collins to cancel us. Collins offered three alternate houses. Two were not beach front and one was not dog friendly. Not what we wanted or paid for and we did not want to settle for less. The woman from Collins said, "Good luck finding another house" and refunded our money. So much for planning well in advance. Here is my gripe. Back in August we were guests at our son's vacation rental in St. George Island Plantation so we drove up to the house that we rented for December. There was a construction crew working on the house. Surely the house would be complete before December or else Collins would have contacted us, right? I believe Collins should have reached out to us early on to let us know there was a possibility the house we rented may become unavailable and given us an opportunity to find another vacation home while there were still comparable homes available. Waiting until November 10th to tell us our December vacation rental property was not available anymore is unacceptable. So, aside from being terribly disappointed, we and our family and friends now have flights to cancel, vacations and holidays to rearrange. One may argue that it is the homeowner's choice to renovate. That's fine. However, Collins represents and manages these properties and should know when upgrades are being made to the rentals so they don't have to cancel reservations made a year in advance.

Perfect location and easy beach access. The grounds and pool were very well kept. Condo had everything we needed and was well kept and clean. Nice view from rooms and deck , which had plenty of chairs. You can tell the buildings are older, but the management does a great job of keeping it updated and well maintained. They are there 7 days a week and work around the property non stop.

Collins Vacation Rentals was great to work with, from booking to checkout. We had no problems our entire stay, and they were very quick to respond to one minor maintenance issue. Everyone we dealt with was extremely nice. The house was well kept, pool was very clean and was serviced while we were there, and we would happily do the same trip all over again.

I can confirm what many others are saying: the reviews on the website are not to be believed. My husband and I recently stayed at Turnip Patch, filled out the survey Collins sent us, and wrote a review of the property as requested. We were never contacted about our concerns, and the review was denied. Here is what I wrote about Turnip Patch: --- At first glance, this property is absolutely STUNNING. It has a towering presence from the street level, and is something different from the usual. Unfortunately, photos of the property make it appear much more modern and polished than it is when you step inside. The entrance doors are very flimsy, which is worrisome from a security perspective. They feel like they can be pushed right open, even when locked. The security issues continued on a quick walk through the property, which showed that multiple doors and windows were left unsecured by the previous tenants, and not checked by Collins on turnover. Several locks were broken, with doors held in place by wooden dowels to prevent their opening. Other doors had locks completely removed and permanently locked, rendering those doors nonfunctional. We also, unfortunately, had to rig a window shut with a butter knife during a driving rainstorm in the middle of the night, as the mechanism to close said window wasn't working. The biggest issue: the presence of mold surrounding the lighting fixtures and HVAC registers on the topmost floor. The powder room was completely unusable, it was so bad. This is a major health concern, and needs to be urgently addressed. Hot water to the upper floor was marginal, at best. We could never get the water above lukewarm, even with the hot faucet running full blast, by itself. The master bed desperately needs replacing...the mattress is lopsided, and even with a pillow, my head always rested lower than my shoulders. The pillows are flat, and the linens are thin. We didn't feel warm or welcomed when we went to bed each night. The kitchen was decently stocked with tools and pans, which was appreciated! We could not find a pizza cutter or scissors, though, which made a few nights difficult. It should be noted: the upper living room has NO window treatments whatsoever. During turtle season, you effectively lose the use of the living room and kitchen once the sun goes down. The owner needs to address this urgently, as well. Window treatments in the bedrooms are thin, with no blackout properties whatsoever. Multiple lights around and within the property were either burned out or otherwise non-functional. This includes the laundry room light, as well as most of the lighting on the deck. One other note: if you like to have space on the beach that is close to your home, you must wake up early to claim it. This property is immediately adjacent to a main public access for the Plantation clubhouse. It was always very crowded in front of our home, as a result. With the lack of window treatments, there was little privacy. The pool table was very nice, though. --- Collins, I vacationed in your homes for ten years as a little girl, into my teens. I was thrilled to be able to book a home of my own with my husband, but your professionalism certainly doesn't hold a candle to what it used to be. You're only interested in money, and not the service that I so fondly remember. I'm very disappointed, and will rent with a different company moving forward.

Had a great time even with the red tide. Beautiful new home that had a few little issues, but nothing to dampen our stay. Collins has always been professional and easy to deal with. Looking forward to our next trip to our favorite place on earth!

This is our 3rd year at turtles nest. We love it as always. 9 family members and many memories made. The dishwasher being broken was a bit of a burden. 9 people use a lot of dishes. But all and all an amazing trip. Love all the updates they’ve done.
