I received an email from Coconut Funding offering business funding. I went to their website and then called the number on the site listed "call us". The gentleman answered the phone stating, "who is this?" I gave him my name and told him that I received an email from them and wanted to discuss financing my business. He replied, "how much do you make a month" and before I could finish answering his question. He interrupted and said, "No, we can't work with you." I'm quoting him because I would never right a review with such unprofessional wording. To finish up, I'd like to say to the unprofessional man that answered the phone. Go take a class on professionalism and learn how to listen to others instead of hearing yourself talk. You have no idea what my business revenue is and you just cost your business a great funding opportunity!

Fraudulent! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. They badger you for you bank account login after you sign paperwork and tell you fees will only be deducted after you are funded. Gary who I spoke with got angry when I did not provide my bank login said no funding without it, and still attempted three times to deduct the $899.00 processing fee though I was not funded. This company is a SCAM! They do not need your login.
Please be advised that Coconut Funding takes pride in conducting its business to the highest caliber. At times a merchant such as Ms. Harris may be upset and/or disappointed that Coconut opted not to purchase their future receivables. However, there is a difference between disappointment and making false and defamatory statements. With regard to the $899 fee that was to be paid from her account, Ms. Harris, among other things, executed documentation specifically permitting Coconut Funding to withdraw that money irrespective of a finally consummated agreement as payment for in part, Coconut Funding’s expenditure of time and labor put into the file to review, evaluate risk, etc. Again, Ms. Harris signed documents allowing Coconut to do exactly this and then she blocked the justly due and agreed upon payment. In addition, she signed a document stating in part she would provide an account login. Regardless of stating she would provide it in the documents, it is appropriate and very commonplace to ensure the merchant is being truthful in its revenue representation, and, moreover, to ensure as best as possible, that if a transaction were to consummate, Coconut Funding may reconcile when applicable as a benefit to the merchant. Furthermore, Coconut Funding always reserves the right to decline an applicant for any number of reasons, one of such being based on the efficacy of the merchant’s bank statements.

Foreign scammers Received this email after sending bank statements and other personal information. Then received a phone call saying they felt like I would run off with the money and if I don’t take the review down he will get his lawyer involved. The process was a nightmare. He brings up the fact they don’t offer traditional financing which is so strange because I applied for a business loan as was asked for PERSONAL bank statements. Definitely a scam. I didn’t receive a reason why my application was denied, it wasn’t until I wrote the review that he called me and said I would run off?? If you pay attention the reviews are fake!

I have been using cash advance companies ever since they started up when the banks stopped lending money to small businesses that did not have perfect credit or great daily account balances. I have used Business Financial Services and Business Baker and both companies have given me cash advances but they always treat you as if you were some kind of criminal and their "due process" is ridiculous-they forget that we are doing them a favor buy accepting their cash at the high interest rate-at least a loan shark is honest about the fact that they are in the usury business-all these cash advance companies make believe that they are legitimate financial institutions. So anyway at least the guys at Coconut are relaxed and realistic about who they are and understand what it is like for us to be running a small business in this day and age and they have always treated me as an equal and never looked down their nose at me like Business Financial Services and Business Baker have done. These guys are are always in contact with me and anytime I need cash for something they are willing to help and their technology is the best-no printing out forms or getting them notarized or scanning or faxing documents back-everything they do is with docusign and all you need to do is to "click-click-click" and the money appears in your bank account the next day just like the tooth fairy leaves money under a kid's pillow!

The process was fast and seamless. Their customer service is good too. At least their staff pick up the phone immediately when I call, not like my bank who keeps me on the phone for over an hour lol. This is a reliable company to do business with !!!

I used Coconut funding to help with capital for my business. I am a very small business owner and was only funded $9,000. Seven months later, with fee and penalty charges they pulled from my business account $20,389.43. They said "We will work with you". I will never use them again or do NOT recommend them! They don't even deserve a star but can't post without one!
In response to the above merchants comment, Coconut Funding always tries to work with the merchant. In this instance, this merchant stacked (sold their Future Receipts Coconut already purchased to someone else in breach of the Funding Agreement, changed bank accounts in breach of the Funding Agreement, ignored numerous phone calls in breach of the Funding Agreement and missed around 30 payments without first notifying Coconut Funding in breach of the Funding Agreement. The above is not inclusive of all the facts but we at Coconut wanted to set the record straight.
