    Took my car in to get serviced yesterday and while I was washing it today I noticed a pretty deep scratch on the drivers side door. I am VERY particular about my car and usually wipe it down a few times a week…so i am very aware of what was there and what wasn’t. Now I know for certain that this scratch wasn’t there Wednesday when I dropped it off. I can’t be 100% that it was them, but it’s highly likely as I haven’t been anywhere else where this could’ve happened. I’m giving 3 stars because I think their service department is pretty decent and trustworthy and have never had any issues with them in the past. but I’m pretty disappointed about this. :(

    Just happy to share my great car buying experience at Colonial Hyundai.     I had been on the search for a vehicle for over 2 months due to an unexpected bad accident and had narrowed it down to either Hyundai or Subaru. I'm a first time car buyer and had already been to quite a few dealerships all around the Richmond area. I had been to Subaru twice and while I fell in love with the vehicle, but the service I received was not what I was expecting. Just didn't feel like they cared at all or were listening to what i needed out of the car, which I know happens often at dealerships. But Coach Russell at Hyundai changed the game. So kind and wanted me to feel confident and comfortable in my purchase! He is super friendly and just wants you to be happy with your purchase. I chose the 2022 Hyundai Tucson and could not be happier! Definitely was a little more than I wanted to spend, but having someone like Coach for a sales person helped make the process so much better. Buying a car can be very stressful especially when you have a sales person that doesn't want to be helping you. I really appreciated the kindness and respect I recieved from Coach Russell! Looking forward to being in the Hyundai family <3

    Had a great experience with Andre!! He was really helpful, informative and patient while I settled on the car that was right for me.     Great customer service in service department. Thought appointment was an hour earlier than scheduled. Service manager advised may not be able to get car in for an hour since was early, said not a problem. Car got in early, was out 10 minutes after my actual scheduled time. Waiting area clean and pleasant. Restrooms clean. Will take car back for service here.

    Honestly, this has been the smoothest car buying experience of my life. Finance manager was super nice. Big shout out to my ole boy Brian For taking care of me.     COACH was amazing! Very personable, down to earth, and friendly. Working with coach was like talking to an old friend! He answered all of our questions honestly, gave great advice, and didn’t try to “sell” us. The process was quite lengthy and that would be my only complaint. The business manager was sensitive to our time constraints and very personable! I’m sorry I can’t remember her name to post.

    I will be calling the service department in the morning. The transmission seems to be okay but now my brake lights stay on constantly when the running and/or headlights are on. Brake lights were in working condition prior to the transmission being replaced. This is very unsafe! I am very disappointed that I now have to bring my car back in to be serviced. Not to mention, it is a big inconvenience! I really hope the dealership can provide me with a loaner car this time around.

    Andre was wonderful in helping us buy a car. We came in with specific cars we wanted to see. He gave other recommendations based on our needs but didn’t try to sell us anything that was out of our budget or not what we wanted. After test driving we wanted time to think it over before we made a decision. I told Andre we were gonna grab lunch and talk things over and he just said ok great, gave us his card and said if we had any questions to reach back out. We grabbed lunch and even went to other dealerships to compare. We found ourselves coming back for the less pushy atmosphere and great selection/pricing. When it came to the paperwork and warranties; of course he suggested getting one but did not push when we declined. Andre made the car buying process easy and stress free. He was very respectful of our wishes and budget. We will deff be back to see Andre we we are in need of a car again.

    I normally have a decent experience, here however today I left very disappointed. When I called to make today's appointment I had to wait almost 3 weeks. The second thing is that I was coming in for a known door latch recall issue or which I was told at the time of the call that the parts were being ordered to be ready for my appointment. I arrived for my 9 am appointment at 8:45, wait at the dealership and am called up to the counter at 10:56. I am then told that I have a known recall issue and they are going to order the parts, then call me to schedule another appointment!!!! What happened to the parts that were supposed to have been ordered before??!?! I am beyond irritated.

    Andre Louis-Jean was my sales rep. I ended up buying a 2022 Hyundai Kona Limited. He was absolutely amazing and took so much time and patience to work with me. Jessica was amazing help with the financial breakdowns of the vehicle I bought; I have never met more patient people that didn’t want to force a car onto me. They truly cared about it being my first car and wanted me to make a decision for myself. Christy was the person I signed everything with and she was outstanding with explaining everything and breaking it down with what everything meant.     Nightmare experience. The dealership took over three months to return our vehicle after we needed service. When the Santa Fe was dropped off on November 16, 2021, we were told that it would take two weeks to get it back to us. We understood that the dealership was coping with an engine recall and was swamped. We got that. One week later, A.K., one of the service guys, called us to report towing damage to the Santa Fe, and that was in addition to the original problem necessitating the tow in the first place. Any work that would have to be done to the vehicle had to be put on hold momentarily as we tried to file a claim for damages with our auto club that arranged the tow. On November 27, 2021, I personally went to Colonial Hyandai to request that photos of the tow damage as well as an estimate be done. C.J. in service took my information and filled out a request for pictures and an estimate. I watched her place this request into the drawer of the work area belonging to A.K. It was a Saturday, and A.K. was not in that day. On November 30, 2021, I called A.K. and verified over the phone that he had received the request for an estimate. He confirmed. Then began the long wait. After a week of silence, I again went to Colonial and personally saw A.K. in service. A.K. said that the technician responsible for the estimate was busy and had not done it. In December, I would go again to see A.K. at Colonial, and again, there was no estimate ready. A.K. seemed distinctly uninterested in helping us. He avoided being outright rude, but he didn't make any effort, either. Later in December, we called Colonial to inquire about the estimate but were told that A.K. was out sick . Still no estimate. By early January, we decided to get our insurance company involved. It took our own adjuster to give us photos and an estimate. Now it was up to Colonial to fix the Santa Fe. Weeks passed, and we heard nothing. I called Colonial to inquire. Someone (not A.K.) in service confirmed that the parts were in, but work had not begun. I was told that our technician was busy. I asked for the name of the technician, and the answer I got was, "I can't tell you that." Then I asked how many vehicles were ahead of ours. I got the same, "I can't tell you that."I said, "This car was dropped off back on November 16."He replied, "I'm aware of that." Maybe this man was aware, but he certainly didn't care. Ultimately, it took our insurance company to lean on Colonial to fix our car and release it to us, over three months after it was dropped off. We knew in advance that dealers are not known for being customer friendly, but this took the cake. Our adjuster said that the damage could have been repaired in less than 5 hours . He was surprised at all the dealership delays. Awful experience!

    I drive a Hyundai so when I started to have some unexpected issues with it, I took it here. They told me the catalytic converters were clogged. They quoted $1900 to order the parts and install. I decided to order the parts myself. I specifically asked, "So, all I need is the catalytic converter?" I was told "Yes, front to back.". After a lot of shopping around and making sure I got the right parts, I had them dropped off at the service center. They held onto them for a day before I called and was told they couldn't be installed because they were aftermarket. So at that point they recommended I take the car to a muffler shop. Not before (of course) charging me $140 for all the help I recieved. I did what they recommended by taking it to a muffler shop, and the mechanic told me that after driving the car and running a flow test on the exhaust, the cats were fine. Thanks CMA. Still trying to figure out what caused my car to stop accelerating suddenly.

    I had a 9am appt for an oil change and tire rotation and it has taken 2 and half hours to get this done. A few months ago I brought my car in for a recall and I dropped it off the night before because I was told I could, I also had a 9am appt for this as well, and they had my car until 3pm that day. I dont know if they are understaffed or what is going on but I feel this is unacceptable. I love my Hyundai Kona but the service here is not so great. Very disappointing. Staff here are friendly so that is a plus. I gave them a 5 star rating and this has now dropped to 3 because of this. I did the survey when I got it a few months ago and I never heard back from anyone on my complaint.

    Had a car stall. Called and asked if I could bring my car in to be looked at that day and was told yes so I had it towed in. Next day called and asked status of the car and was rudely told they probably won’t look at it for two weeks. I’m Understanding enough to realize that with staff shortages or backups due to recall that there may be a delay but telling someone that they can bring the car to be looked at that day and not having availability for two weeks is that unprofessional. Had to pay to take it to a second dealership that stated if we brought it in Friday they could look by Monday.

    In 2018 we purchased a used 2015 Santa Fe and an extended warranty that proved it pays to have your vehicle under warranty. Had an appointment to check out my Santa Fe and I was acknowledged right away and within 2 and 1/2 hours the work was done and I was on my way home. The best part my warranty covered the cost of the problem completely. It was quick and friendly service. They even gave me a car wash! We have bought 2 vehicles from Colonial Hyundai and when we are ready for another vehicle that will probably be the place.

    I had an appointment for a state inspection and oil change. It took about 3 hours without needing any other repairs or services done. I shared a concert about a noise coming from one of my tires and only after rechecking the tire I was told I was missing break pad clips No offer to replace them.

    31 December 21: I got my car inspected and it failed due to an inoperative high beam light. It couldn’t be repaired at the location due to a technical service bulletin issue-it had to be replaced by the dealership. I went to Colonial Hyundai and spoke to Cheyenne, who noticed that the issue stemmed from a previously repaired recall. Long story short, Cheyenne was able to get the entire headlight assembly replaced for me at no charge and I was able to pass the re inspection. She was really nice; my family and I have worked with her before. Very professional.

    So I went in for an inspection and I knew my front light had just went out so I wanted to get that done as well. I know for a fact there was nothing else wrong with my car. So they came to tell me my break lights are out and I would need that for my inspection. I knew my break lights were not out and I just replaced one of my lights not even a month ago. I started coming here a year ago but today will be my last day shame on you for getting over on a female

    Went to CMA because drivers seat was stuck reclined. Was told the motor needed to be replaced and would have to purchase the full back panel for the drivers seat bc thats where the motor was located. Paid $125 for the diagnostic and was quoted $900+ for the repair. It didnt make much sense bc there’s 3 buttons on the side of the seat and only 1 wouldnt work. I would think a motor is needed if none of thr buttons worked. Anyhow, I took my vehicle someplace else, the module panel was replacedd for $50 and the seat was fixed.

    I purchased a ‘22 Elantra Limited from here with Alex. He answered every question I had and went out of his way to keep in touch with me.     Today I went in for an oil change, and the service I received was great! Kim is such a wonderful person , always helping out with a smile! Yesterday Dec 28, 2021, I went in for some answers as to why my car was vibrating, and John the manager, took the time to explain with drawing what was going on with my car. I felt at ease as he explain what was going on. He went over and above his duty and paid for the service I that was done on the car. You don't find people like John who is willing to go out their way to please costumers. He is the best!!! There were other gentlemen there. also who helped, but I don't know there names.

    Our salesperson, Jessica, was great under the conditions. That condition being me, I know what I want and I'm relentless (it's a family thing)...the only thing I wasn't thrilled with was the fact that I offered to put a deposit on the vehicle to hold it until the morning when I was suppose to hear from my bank about financing. I already had back up financing in place but was told they wouldn't hold unless I put in an application. This put an extra inquiry, actually 2 of them because the dealership ran a credit report also. It was around 9:30 pm when I signed the buyer order and at 8:30 the next morning I had an approval through my bank. Being what it is, overall the service was good and the dealership went above what they agreed to and I am satisfied with that. My daughter loves her SUV. So thank you Colonial for putting up with me. But work on that hold thing to give your customers a chance to get financing through their bank.

    From the time I made 1st contact to the time I was rolling down the road in my new vehicle the folks at CMA's colonial Hyundai made me feel comfortable.     Made an appointment 3 weeks prior, showed up 5 minutes before the appointment to find several other people did "walk-ins" before me. I was told 3 months ago I could not come in unless I had an appointment. So why did I have to wait for almost an hour before my car even made it into the shop even though I had an appointment???

Milton helped us make informed decisions we were comfortable with. We also love Kim in service.     Great service and affordable. I was apprehensive about the cost for the services of fixing an internal issue with my headlights when I brought in my car. I believe Cheyenne could sense my anxiety. She worked with me regarding the service and cost to keep it within my budget. A special thank you to the technicians who worked on my car. I walked out with the issue fixed with my car and relieved that I did not pay an overwhelming amount for the service. Great service from the service advisors in the front and the technicians in the back.

    I went here for an oil change. I was very satisfied with the attendant who helped me. She was great. She was very busy though being the only person for customer interaction for services. I liked that they had snacks, free WIFI, and a kids play area. The play area occupied my kids which allowed for a smoother wait. I waited about 30 min for an oil change. I was a bit disappointed when I got in my car to find that the maintenance personnel did not reset my service button. They also didn’t vacuum( I did get a free standard oil change so not complaining there) I’m just used to getting a vacuum when I get the oil change. They give you a free car wash code but when I went to the rear ( Honda dealership) the car wash was closed. The play area and snacks made up for the disappointing parts. Now I just have to read the manual and figure out how to manually rest it myself.

    This was the easiest experience I’ve ever had buying a new vehicle! Our salesman, Milton, was absolutely amazing! The sales manager and Brandon, our finance guy, were great too! No pressure from anyone. We roamed around the lot for quite a while too. Not until we were heading into the building, were we approached by Milton. That, in itself, meant the world to us!!     Being nearly 75 I wanted a main vehicle with lots of safety features. Had a 2015 Town&Country with a lot of nice features but I also have an older Odyssey van for hauling kayaks, pet goats, dog, feed and hay. I started looking at newer small SUV's online studying features and price. I took a test drive locally near Raleigh, NC and fell in love with the Kona Limited--but not with the colors they had. I was determined to get a Teal Isle and found it a CMA Colonial Hyundai. I communicated with John Bright who was amazing in answering questions and helping get the buying process started. I was totally shocked and amazed that Brian McCaffity offered to deliver the car to me in NC!!!!! That is service way beyond my expectations. This morning he arrived with my beautiful Teal Isle and spent lots of time sitting in my driveway explaining it's features. NEVER is all my years of buying new or used cars (first Karmann Ghia in 1967) have I had such a good purchasing experience!!! Thank you Brian! And Colonial CMA!! This afternoon I ran errands in my new Kona and constantly was surprised by various features and displays. I have so much to learn and truly LOVE this car.

    I had a state inspection today they said I needed a brake light the attendant said it would be 40 dollars I didn't look at receipt until I was home I was very upset the brake light they fix part cost 1.65 which took them 2 minutes to change and it cost me 49 dollars this place is a rip off they over charge

    Very good time on service. Also inquired about paint chipping off o the back of vehicle. Was told that she would submit a claim. That they have had issues with the white paint chipping off their vehicle. Didn't receive any information on the claim that she told me she was going to submit. Was disappointed on that because they was my second attempt on having someone check it.

    Great endings start with great beginnings. I bought a used 2011 Genesis Coupe from this dealership last year in December 2019. I haven't had one single issue with it. It's still great as the day I drove it off the dealership's lot. My salesman, who affectionately goes by "Coach", was amazing. Other staff members who worked with me were also amazing in helping me seal the deal so I could get back to my home in the DC/Baltimore area. That's right, I don't live in the area. I made the trip to take a closer look at the car. Glad I did. Sometimes one has to go the distance to find a great car and great deal.

    090 overall not pleased with my experience at CMA Colonial Hyundai went through the sale process on a Saturday pick the car up on Tuesday. They handed me the keys asked me to sign a couple of papers no one went over the features of the car I drove about 5 miles up the road thought about I haven't seen owners manual search the car over for the owner's manual could not find one turn around went back to the dealership they said that they would mail it to me it has been a month and I still haven't seen the owner's manual. I Financed part of the purchase price they told me that I would get a statement in the mail as to how to make the payments the statement came on the day the first payment was due. It was almost like they wanted me to be late on the first payment. Overall pleased with the car but not the experience I've had with the dealership

    Has had our car since 7/30 (towed no appointment)when the engine went in our 2014 Sonata with less than 90 K miles. It took 2 weeks just to be looked at. Car is still under warranty which means a rental car is covered however there are no local enterprises that have a Hyundai available for rental under warranty. Needless to say it’s been almost a month without any transportation. And because this location is short staffed it could be a lot longer. The reps that I have spoken with have been nice and professional but minimal information.

    Absolute worse dealership to buy from. I've previously bought from loyalty and strosnider and I'll never again purchase from CMA and I ESPECIALLY won't buy a hyundai. They're nothing but trash and a headache of problems. Thank God for a warranty which I highly recommend if you buy a hyundai but just remember the warranty won't cover all the time you have to miss from work to sit around a dealership.

    I have had my oil changed in my new Santa Fe 3 times at this location. And all 3 times they have neglected to reset my maintenance schedule on my dash, so every time I get in my car it tells me it’s overdue for service that I just had. My maintenance schedule is at 7500 miles and every time they put the sticker in my window to remind me of when to come back it is for 3500 miles…The service advisors are just meh…there are no warm fuzzies when you come in the door. You don’t get greeted, no one hardly looks up when your there until it’s time to ask for money. I have been there once and my car washed complimentary. The second time not washed at all. The third time I was given a code to drive it through somewhere. No consistency so I don’t know what’s really supposed to happen. The only good thing I can say is they tend to work quickly (oil changes at least).

    One of the best experiences I've ever had buying a car. The process started with Savana who was very friendly and responsive to my text messages and helped me select a car. Then the sales manager Jessica stepped in and helped me iron out the details of the transaction. We were coming from a couple hours away and the team made the whole process so smooth and effortless. Alex took over once we got in the dealership and he was great. During each step of the process he was thorough answered all our questions and took the time to show us all the features of the car and get us signed up and setup. Phil the financing manager finished everything up and made the process as quick and easy as possible Through whole process everyone was informative and took the time to explain everything thoroughly.     Colonial Hyundai was a great dealership to work with! I work in the retail automotive industry and went to Colonial only because they had the new 2022 Kona model I wanted, which isn't offered through my auto group employer. I know what a great guest experience should be and all of my expectations were met or exceeded. From the test drive with Carl Jones to working with Sales Manager Jessica Compton on financing and numbers, I felt valued and heard. There was 0 pushiness from the staff and when I wanted to move quickly to take delivery they met my pace and got me in and out in less than 2 hours. I would recommend Colonial Hyundai over West Broad any day of the week. In fact, there is a reason I drove all the way down I-95 to purchase my vehicle, instead of the one in my own backyard.

Absolutely a pleasure to work with. We had our two young children with us (I know, not the ideal situation when buying a car, but we didn’t have a sitter available). For anyone with young kids, buying a car and having the kids wait throughout the process is not my idea of a good time. The staff was absolutely stellar throughout the day. Kudos to Brian McCaffity as he was a godsend with our kids.     Pricing was highly competitive. Once we got to the dealership they were very attentive and thorough. Would give higher ratings but a lot of stress in the communication of holding the vehicle we had on line and took a lot of me following up vs them contacting me. They did say very busy.     I've been trying to get a recall done on my vehicle since April. First time they scheduled me 3 weeks out and I get there just to sit for 40 minutes and was told they didn't have the part still. They told me they had it when I scheduled. This time I finally got it done(3 weeks out again), but they tried to charge me for a new air filter after I told them not to. I ended up getting that taken care of, but they still got me for,(over $100 worth) "diagnosing " a problem I already knew I had. I just wanted the price for it to get it fixed in the near future.🤦‍♀️ Be careful when getting serviced here. Call before you go in to make sure they have the part, and then make sure they follow thru and not do things you tell them to wait on. Also, be careful of fees like diagnosing when you just want a price on getting something fixed down the road.🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

    I’ve been going to this Hyundai for 5 years. They’ve always provided great customer service (depending on who you go to) and usually do a good job on my car. I am very big on customer service and always base the places I go to on how the customer service is. With that being said, Antoine, the lady with the long beautiful locs (I forgot her name sorry) and Kim (when she did work here) always were friendly, understanding and nice. However some of the newer people like Angela and the lady who sits beside her, always have some kind of attitude or act like you’re bothering them when you’re checking your car in or have a question. They’re just honestly rude. Avoid them if you can.

    I got my 2020 Hyundai Elantra SEL last September 2 and it was the beautiful Olivia that guided me throughout the process. She is one accommodating, effervescent person with jovial personality, that I never realized I was in the store for five (5) hours already.     if you like your time being wasted service your vehicle here. made an appointment for a recall almost a month ago went in for the appointment and they said they don’t have the parts in. why would you schedule a recall appointment and not have the parts. i even called week prior to confirm appointment and parts and they said everything was good to go. if the service department is this bad i can’t imagine how the rest of the dealership is. there are several dealerships in the area to go to then risk wasting your time at this one. UPDATE: Several days later no one reached out. Responses to reviews seem to just be BS.

    I could say a lot about them not replacing my engine that was under recall but that’s not on them that’s on Hyundai customer care and I will deal with them separately. But my issue with this location, CMA Colonial Hyundai, is the fact that when I got my car back after they did the diagnostic testing, my engine cover wasn’t put back on, and my skid plate is literally in my back seat, it was never put back on either. I am beyond unhappy with the whole outcome. It was bad enough my was engine seized which is the whole reason I took it there but to now have other issues on top of it after getting my car back from them made things even worse! Cheyenne, my service advisor, was great through the whole process as far as explaining everything to me and making my options clear but the maintenance department clearly is not up to par and lacking in more ways than one. I’m sure they assumed since it isn’t drivable at the moment who cares, well I CARE! and I will never ever deal with this location again!!

    At purchase I paid several thousand dollars for a "10-yr bumper-to-bumper warranty" that covered "everything beyond the powertrain" that the manufacturers covers. Now that we are 3 years later, the speaker went out and the car airbag sensor plate went wonky. Took it in. Got charged $138 to diagnose. Was told nothing is covered, the airbag plate was "just bad" and that would cost an additional $1,800+ to replace. Customer service was virtually nonexistent. Rip off artists. Will not buy another Hyundai, especially not here!!! Updated 7/9/22 - The call promised in the response never happened, and I am not shocked by this fact.

    I hate to have to give such a low rating because the overall experience wasn't actually bad. As a former customer service supervisor I take customer satisfaction and friendliness very very seriously. I went into Colonial Hyundai for a 2pm appt to have a recall serviced. When I went inside I was greeted at the front desk by a very sweet young lady who directed me over to the service department. Once I walked over there the lady at the desk was sitting there having a conversation with a gentleman who looked like he may have worked there. Not one time did they look up and acknowledge my presence. I wow simply trying to check in for my appt. They proceeded to chat for 5 more minutes and the guy walked off. Then he came right back and they continued having PERSONAL conversation that could have waited until she assisted me. She finally felt the need to help me after I got on thr phone to loudly tell my husband I wanted to cancel the appt because she was rude. So she finally checked me in. I was going to speak with a manager but decided I wanted my car service first. So then I went to pick the car up this morning and she was there again unfortunately. So I was greeted by another sweet young lady and I advised I came to pickup. And rude lady was still looking down writing something and just nods her head on thr direction of the cashier and says "the cashier has your paperwork..." Sorry for the lengthy review but I'm big on details. She needs some training on customer service that's all. But overall everyone else was really nice.

    CMA Hyundai is AWESOME😊!!!! I walked in yesterday with no appointment and all of the sales agents were busy. A gentleman by the name of Dae Dae helped me after I stated I’ll just come back another time. He was very professional and welcoming. I didn’t know where to start as I was looking for a used reliable car for my 18 yr old daughter that is graduating high school soon. He was very knowledgeable and worked for me. I told him I was a single mom and I wanted to keep my car note at a certain amount to include gap insurance. After my credit was ran, I had two options either to purchase a used car or purchase a brand new car with more safety for her as he explained. I decided to go with a brand new 2022 Hyundai Elantra. The process was quick and straight to the point❤️ I also was able to keep my payment where I wanted it to be. She doesn’t know about the car and I will be surprising her at her upcoming graduation party. Thanks CMA Hyundai for making this experience a great experience overall!!!     Updated 06/13/2022: Called and spoke with the service department on June 3rd and asked to have my windshield replaced, after notifying the service rep that I had an appointment, she said she would add it to the work order. Showed up today to have my tow package installed and windshield replaced only to be told they don't do windshield replacements. Not thrilled from a customer service standpoint. Updated: After hearing about what happened, management reached out to me and wanted to make it right. Went back in yesterday, dealt with a great sales associate, Alex, and he not only did a great job, but stayed late to walk me through the features on the new vehicle i purchased. I left CMA Colonial Hyundai this time feeling satisfied with the service and the deal i had received. Thank you to the management team for being quick to resolve the issues encountered and i will be recommending you in the future.. Original Post: Left feeling disrespected, lied to, and had 4 hours of my day wasted. Bait and Switch. Buyer beware. Went to CMA Colonial Hyundai this evening after communicating exactly what I wanted with them in writing and over the phone. When I arrived, I again directly stated the make, model, sub model, and options I wanted to the associate who assured me they had found the vehicle I wanted in their network. After three attempts to negotiate the price, I begrudgingly agreed to finance some of the vehicle to receive the $1,000 rebate and also agreed to an aggressive $600 processing fee. I shook hands with the floor manager and thought the deal was done. Halfway through the paperwork process, they finally produced the details for the vehicle to be obtained; it was only when I asked to see the options I asked for that the associate then informed me that the mudgaurds and tow package were not on the vehicle and that they would be an additional cost; needless to say, I was livid. The associate went to go find another manager who informed me that those were not standard features and that he would give me the mudgaurds (site price $120) but I would have to pay him $800 extra for the tow package (site price $450). After his refusal to negotiate further, I asked for my vehicles keys and left in a monsoon feelibg angry, lied to, and upset that even after compromising, being transparent with them, and understanding during the lengthy process, that they let $570 worth of parts ruin a deal that was fair and reasonable. Heck, I didn't even argue with them about the freight they included in the sales price. I'm from a generation where if you shake someone's hand on a deal, you don't find ways to change it and you certainly don't mislead customers during a process into thinking they are getting what they want and change it on them at the last minute; commonly referred to as bait and switch tactics. I am very disappointed with the unprofessional nature of this dealership and would highly suggest you not take your business to them.

    My car had an engine issue that was a recall in late October. I was not given a rental until January 3rd and my car was not fixed until January 18th. I was without a vehicle through no fault of my own. I appreciate they honored the recall, but they slow turn around time and lack of vehicle for 2 months was an issue.

    I recently purchased a 2022 Santa Fe from CMA's Colonial Hyundai and I have never been happier. The overall experience was smooth and easy. I worked with James Grant and I HIGHLY recommend this young man. He answered all my questions plus some, he was personable, funny and not pushy. He made the process iconic and I have already spoke very highly of him to others, along with the dealership as a whole. The sales manager was very kind - we had a minor hiccup during the number process that was confusing and she took the time to explain everything and guide us along our journey. We also have a 4 week old that was with us and he became fussy - another sales associated was kind enough to rock him while we finished our paperwork. Overall, I wish I could give this dealership more than 5 stars along with their staff. Keep up the good work and I will be a CMA customer for life now.

    They over filled my 2016 sonata with oil then I informed them they did so they took it back to the shop to “ fix it “ I came back later to pick it up and it was still over filled talked to sales manager and a sales person because service was already gone both seen the issue and both where very nice in trying to figure out a fix but still doesn’t make it right . First and last time my car will be going to this dealer ! If you pay for a service it’s expected they do it correctly! DO NOT GET A OIL CHANGE HERE !

    What a wonderful experience....I took my car in today because the front was pulling to the right...I had already made an appointment for this Thursday, but I hit a hole on Saturday and that made the car pull even more....I took the car in this morning (without an appointment), and I was thinking this will be an all day affair...it surprised me when the Tech said, "sure, we can get it done for you"....and walla, I was out in 1 1\2 hours ..     They are the absolute worst dealership I have ever had the displeasure of associating with. Our Hyundai broke down and we had bought the extended warranty and the lady on the phone said we didn’t and that it wasn’t covered. They also said it’d be 2 weeks to get it looked at so we have it towed there and then they turn around and tell us 4 MONTHS. So we had it towed to West Broad Hyundai (fantastic facility and customer service). They not only got us checked in but they approved our warranty which should’ve been done in the first place within a week and said the car will be ready in 3 weeks. Point of the story don’t bring your car here unless you want bad service and terrible wait times. They are the most unfriendly rude unhelpful band of sleaze I have ever encountered. I recommend WEST BROAD Hyundai

    My service advisor Antoine King is awesome. If I could give him 20 stars I would. I continue to do business with your dealership specifically because of Antoine. I am not impressed with your sales side, and in fact your sales side has a lot to be desired. I don't have to deal with sales that often thankfully and I deal with your service department more regularly. Your service department is outstanding and that is why I will still, despite what I think of your sales department, look the other way and will still purchase from you in the future and will use your service department. Antoine got me in for service this week when my battery in my 2021 sonata failed. He got me in and as usual he went above and beyond to accommodate me. He is an asset that should be looked after and taken care of. I couldn't be happier. Whatever you are paying him, you should be adding a "0" to his salary because he runs circles around everyone else.

    I had to go back in and edit my review. I gave them 5 stars at first!!! I told the service department I had a nail in my right front passenger tire!!! They aired it up and nothing. Then I returned for my oil and filter change, tire rotation, and guess what??? I told them there is a nail in my front right tire. Well I’m back for the third time to tell them if they rotated my tires, WHY IS THAT SAME TIRE RIGHT FRONT PASSENGER SIDE IN THE SAME SPOT WITH THE NAIL IN IT???? First of all if you rotate someone’s tires you will notice a nail. But when they say they rotated your tires; that means the tires would not be in the same spot or position. Now I’ve lost all trust here. You have a mechanic who documents a tire rotation because its free & under warranty but never physically change the locations of the tires. NO MORE GOING HERE. I WILL DRIVE TO MY FAVORITE HYNDAI IN RICHMOND!!!I I gave 2 stars because Crystal and the technicians that check us in are fabulous. Watch out for what’s behind the curtain in Service. I know they are busy. I know they have trouble getting parts, however, NO EXCUSE FOR DOCUMENTING SOMETHING TRULY NOT DONE!!!! Can’t hide a tire with a nail if it was rotated. BIG MISTAKE!!! HUGE!!! SMH 🤦🏻‍♀️ sad!! 😞

    The actually buying experience was great. But servicing is not the best. I experienced a puncture on my front tire and when I went to put on the spare, the lug nuts didn't fit! Apparently this never happens. Perhaps because it was a used car and somebody just put another random spare. But the amount of support after the fact is disappointing. And the service department hung up on me. I don't think my next vehicle will be Hyundai...

    My Hyundai broke down on I295 last month coming home from vacation and 5 hours from home. We had the car towed to Colonial Hyundai, thinking that was the best option. Worst experience ever. Communication was non-existent unless I called. One week of nothing. I talked with sales, the manager of sales, service, the manager of service. Then when I got my local dealership from central PA involved and they offered to tow my vehicle home, the General manager called me to say they were going to start working on my car. I had told the service manager earlier that day that I wanted nothing done at that point since my dealership would be towing the circle back to PA. I was a nobody from PA, although I had put a deposit down in a car there, and they showed no concern. Their lack of communication and no service was a turn off. I would sincerely suggest customer service training for everyone there. I would never recommend buying or having service from them. I couldn’t give a zero or I would have.

    I prefer coming to this one for servicing rather than Midlothian because their customer service is very welcoming. I am only giving four stars because this is the first time I came for an oil change and recall and they happened to be short staff. However other than that I love coming here. They don’t mind explaining some of the servicing terms and the benefits they offer. Many times when you go to get a service for one thing you get recommended for other things and you don’t know what those things are or what they have to do with your vehicle, all you know is what you came for, I’d recommend others to come here.

She also checked her inventory for vehicles that will be coming in and also other dealerships in the area that may have the vehicle that we're looking for. Inventory is a severe problem right now for most dealerships she was very willing and anxious to help us with zero pressure.

    CMA has a great inventory unlike most. However, I must warn anyone about their ploy. I went there to pick up my car as planned and everything in order financially. I refused to finance it as suggested by Brian, the salesman. He knew ahead of time I didn’t want to do this, even for a month or two which would not have cost me. I refused the cost he presented 3-4 times. Finally he came out, said he had the final price, and the dealership would lose $500. Needless to say it didn’t set well with me. Transparency/honesty are hard to find today! Furthermore, when Brian told me about this rating he said anything less than 9.5 and he would have failed. The gall is unbelievable. I decided to cool down before sending this in. Additionally, Brian has said numerous times he will get a cargo net for my trunk; he texted me and said he’s waiting for it to come in. A small thing, but he’s not being truthful. He has also told me he has forgotten to order it, but will do so, as well as he’ll grab one from another car and I can pick it up on a Tuesday. The constant untruths are too much!

    This store has amazing Customer Staff. The entire staff was awesome. My mother purchased a vehicle not unaware of certain things. Unfortunately; we (two daughters) live out of state. My mother was not informed at the time of purchase that she would have to travel over an hour from her home to have her recently purchased vehicle serviced and the required scheduled maintenance performed. The store that was not booked up was over an hour away. I must admit it. Going here was the best choice ever.. It was well-worth the drive! They made our entire family comfortable. They explained everything to my mother who is 71 years of age in its entirety in which she understood. Kim Turner you were amazing. Thank you CMA Colonial Hyundai. You guys ROCK!!!!!

    The customer service I received when I originally purchased the car was great. My first experience with the service department was not so great! Hard to get a hold of, the rep was not very friendly. One of their pitches for buying a car there is a loaner for every service. I was told they had no loaners, they also say pick up and delivery is available for service appts. My car was towed in and after completing the work I asked for the car to be dropped off. I was told that’s not an option

    Colonial Hyundai has had my vehicle for almost 5 months because of a warranty issue. No loaner cars available. This is the same situation as the recall and my friend got her new engine in about a week. Why is a warranty different? I paid for the warranty...I get no updates, just lies about paying for my rental vehicle which is now over $6000.00. I cannot get refunded until car is fixed...will tthat be the 12th of never. I will not deal with them after this...I was told by Kim that she is on a commission basis, maybe that's why my car is stillsitting in the loot?

    Came in to purchase a Toyota Highlander. Never was pressured or hovered over when making a decision to trade in my car and purchase another. Even was offered to test the car out and take it home for the night and bring it back the following day!! Ray was amazing! He has a positive upbeat attitude and I wish I had half of the energy he does. He was suppose to be off at 5pm the day I was coming to buy my car but offered to stay until I got here at 6:30pm!! It’s always a enjoyable experience when you have someone who generally wants to help you and is happy to be here!! Give that man a raise! Also Brandon who took my down payment for my car was super friendly and glad to help and stay after his shift to make sure all my documents were signed! I’d recommend anyone just simply for the people working here. Also- I felt the car I got needed a slight alignment. I told them and they were more then happy to get it aligned no questions asked!! Come visit them and they’ll put you into your next car, no hassle involved!

    Would like to thank our salesman Chris Sharpe for the quickest most pain free car purchase I have ever experienced. In less than 3 hours we picked a perfect car and my daughter drove off the lot with her first new to her car. He found what she wanted and made sure it was in her budget. Thank you for everything.     Great place!! My sensor went bad during a road-trip, i was able to make a appointment within 10 minutes and car was fixed within 24 hrs! I had a bunch of things with me including a carseat and baby and i forgot his name but the gentleman works in the front by the service area as soon as you walk in and he helped me transfer my son’s carseat to my father’s vehicle and some of my other belongings i needed. I would recommend this place to anyone passing by! Customer service was a 10/10, and very polite and professional

    Had a great experience due to my Salesperson James Grant. James went above and beyond to make sure everything about my 2021 Santa Fe Calligraphy purchase was done to perfection, which included picking up my vehicle from my office, leaving me a brand new vehicle to drive and returning my car to my home the next day to have detailing done!     I brought my Hyundai Santa Fe here due to an engine recall that effected it. The only reason I’m taking away a star is because the process of getting the recall approved took 2 months. Once approved the repair took one week plus 2 other repairs. Cheyenne was on a roll the minute my FeFe got approved for the recall. Idk what kinda mess was going on before that, no one was calling us or keeping us informed during those two months before the approval. I’m just happy to have my car back finally!
