City of Memphis Credit Union Avery Ave, Memphis

Please do not conduct your banking here they are rude, aggressive, and highly unprofessional. I have an account with them and a credit card. Unfortunately I got behind on my credit card and they would not work with me, which is surprising since we are in a pandemic and many people have fallen on hard times. They did not want to hear it and closed the card and put a hold on my account for the full balance when I was only 3 months behind. I made a payment for the amount that was due plus some extra along with it thinking it will catch me up and everything will be fine but No! They still want the full balance due and everyone I speak with has a rude undertone even then managers. Looks like nothing can be done, but I just wanted people who were thinking about banking with them to heavily reconsider because this business has no empathy for no one. I should have just stayed with Regions they have more compassion.

Always great with me . I even got a loan no problem., with them for over 5 yrs.

No matter when you come to this location you will wait for at least 15 minutes in the drive through. This place is always slow!!! There is only one car in front of me & I’ve been here almost 20 minutes!!

Banking institution. Don't agree with all financial procedures done here.

Filed a fraud dispute for a unauthorized charge on my account on September 18th I called to check on status of disputed because I have not received or heard anything from credit union. I was told that it had not been filed because I had to try and get money back from company myself. I left a message for the CEO of City of Memphis employee credit union whom later called me back I was told by him Ken Swann that the credit union has 6 months to investigate dispute and that I had to make a deposit to cover fraud charges which I know was in accurate so I told Mr.Swann that I was going to contact a lawyer. Mr Swann told me I didn’t make enough deposits and I was too broke to afford a Lawyer then calling me broke and hung the phone up on me after a back and forth confrontation. I told Mr. Swann that I had a joint savings account with my son and father which I will be closing and he told me that he was going to take the money out of my child account and cover charge if I didn’t. I was disrespected yesterday and this man was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable on all grounds.

Very nice and professional staff. I've been a loyal member over 5 years.

Doing business for 4 years, never had an bad experience.

Wish we had a location closers to me, but for the most part the credit union works for me.
