Chouteau Pawn Chouteau Trfy, Kansas City

I decided on a whim to visit this week. Gold at record highs. I was dressed in PJ’s with no intent of getting out of my car. Went in there, looked all the jewelry over. They never seemed to be annoyed with me or wonder if I was even going to spend any money. We came to a deal on a few pieces, I was thrilled. 1 white female 1 dark skinned man and 1 older maybe Italian man, hard of hearing. All so very nice. I would return business there without a second thought and would recommend anyone who hasn’t been here before but has curiosities: give it a try! They’re reasonable and also very friendly!

They said no to all my things without giving me a reason. I had an almost unused tablet, a nice Kenneth Cole watch, and a Samsung Bluetooth headset. The woman that I first talked to seemed nice enough, but when she had me take my stuff to the larger gentleman who works there, he seemed uninterested in talking to me and was busy working on phones instead of trying to help me. Unfortunately I will not be returning here.

So I walk in and was looking how much they selling the ps4, so they had few. I didn’t see any price on it, so I asked them how much for this colored ps4 and said which one. The overweight black male said show me, I holdded it and showed him and he was just sitting and busy with his phone playing. Then he asked where you get that, another way of saying don’t touch that in a rude way. I realized he wasn’t paying attention, because he told me to show him which one I need. So he gave me a price up to 300$ for one the system, no controllers or games. Rude And not good service. Waste of time going there.

Does this place buy anything??? I have been there a few times with some nice tools and they never want to buy. A couple items was brand new in the box. They still wasn't interested. It looks like I'm going to have to teach my tools to do tricks

The mixed guy that work here is horrible....he is so rude to black customers... you never know who people know.. I'll will be spreading the word in KC.....FYI...My husband is US VETERAN and came in and brought a laptop touchscreen.....will never be back and he told me not to come back.... son just needed a computer... Again, you never know who, knows who...

I have to take out loans at Chouteau alot. Everyone is always so nice to me and my husband. I won't pawn my rings or electronics anywhere else, ever. I'm a forever customer.

I went up here to sell a ring that I know is worth approximately $400 and I asked for $350 and he said "I don't want to offended you but they sell these for more than they are worth." Then my boyfriend walked in with gulf clubs and they said they don't buy them even though 2 were sitting in there. I believe that they were rude, dismissive, and didn't really take the time to provide a good customer experience.

I walked into this pawn shop and immediately it smelled amazing. I was having a rough day trying to sell a watch and this totally enlightened my mood the second I walked in. The people here were genuinely nice and talketive, full of spunk and even more did that enlighten my day. I was not able to sell my item because of circumstances, but walking out i did not feel like i lost. I walked out still happy because of the great service i received because of the wonerful staff at Chouteau pawn.

Called ahead to see if they were currently buying guitars, they said yes we are. Go in with a guitar worth $700 just to be told, "we have too many guitars, I'll pass" 😠😠😠😠 I walked two miles to get there!!! Never do business with these guys

I go there because of the good review, but one of the lady up front is very rude this place doesn't have any good customer service. they under-estimate you(if you are a foreigner)you not going to have a deal,they really think I'm a trashy person and I don't have good thing to sell. never again!!!
