The website said they were open til 7pm today and I arrived at 6:44pm in desperate need to cash a check before work and the doors were locked and Noone there

I got a new loan for $600, under the agreement. [The laws changed on how they can beat innocent people out of there hard earned money, and get away Beware!! I only wanted $200, the way she explained the contract to me was, if I take out the 6 hundred and pay back 661 in 15 days(which was mandatory) the next time I can take out a smaller amount. I didn't know I was going to be swindled out of an additional $160.00 for the contract fee, and no matter what if you opt out of the contract you still have to pay for it. These people are preying on innocent low income people. Please don't fall into the trap I fell into, horrible business practices. I hope they go out of business..soon. When I called there corporate office I was told no one was available, and that I should leave my number and they'll call me. Sure they will, I'll keep fighting this until I get some satisfying answers, despicable company, with shady service. It figures, RIP off the poor and give to the fat cats. I'm really angry at these thieves, and hope this review helps someone who is unaware of there schemes.

Went to this location for a reloan and my husband asked questions about the fees involved. The lady behind the glass gave us instant attitude and would not explain the details of fees associated with the loan. My experience was the poorest I’ve ever received in any business I’ve had any kind of interaction with. I will never return to to this company once the loan is repaid, and if I do I’ll be seeking a new branch with a fresh face. If you have the gas money to drive to a different location I urge you to do so! -7/10

Abby the assistant manager is a joke. Shady business tactics. 0 class. Not one employee in there looks even remotely representable. I spoke with an employee who was upset because THEY told me the wrong price I owed them continued to call me broke on the phone lol. I’ll never be back here ever again and I made sure to let corporate know how you guys are doing. Thanks😛

2nd experience this checksmart cashed a check that no other bank or finanncial organization would even study. I couldn't exadurate enuff how nice, helpful an informational the staff was or what a good experience i had going here. If there was more than 5 stars they would deserve every one of them. Deffinetly recommend this checksmart an I deffinetly will have a long future with buissiness.

Love the staff! Never have any problems cashing checks from my grandma. Every time I've got off work late & missed the bank I can always count on them after normal bank hours even some holidays! Certain % is taken from my check but can't complain when it's the oy place open. Plus staff has always worked w/me Never got a loan, so idk about the rates.

Customer service was horrible on phone and in person wouldn't recommend this place to any one

Everything about their “line of credit” practice is a sham. They lie to you and say they aren’t allowed to tell you how much you really have to pay. They try and force you to cash the loan check there by telling you that your bank won’t even cash the check so they can charge you 5% to cash the check that they are giving you. They will lie and make you believe that you can’t deal with the finance company directly. They say the finance company doesn’t take payment over the phone which the finance company informed me that they most certainly take payment over phone. I have a feeling that there’s a closer connection between these two companies then they lead you to believe. Just know that if you use their loan service then you have to pay around $150 just to even get the loan plus interest and the loan. My $400 loan is costing well above $600. Beware of this service they are dishonest and try a scheme as much money as possible

I have been in Ohio since quarantine and my bank does not have any branches in the state so went here to cash money orders. After taking my I.D, ssn, a photo, asking who gave me the money orders and what they are for, and even calling to verify the money orders, I was told they couldn't cash them "because it didn't make sense of why I had them" and that I would have to get the receipts from the purchaser, who lives in another state, even though they are made out to me and the purchaser keeps the receipt for proof of purchase. Seems the lady, who was training another employee, had no idea what she was doing- money orders don't even have an expiration date and not sure what me having them for a couple months while being quarantined would matter, but all she said was, "it doesn't make sense why you have them." Ridiculous.

You have to pay to add money to a card. You can only use their debt card when cashing money and their card has ONE option for fees 2 dollars every swipe no matter what unless you get direct deposit. Not worth it!!!!
