Worst customer service ever!!! Let me start with saying, I am not proud to have to take a loan out to begin with but when a medical emergency arose I didn’t have a choice. I went to this location and arrived at 6:35, the store closes at 7. I stood in line without even being acknowledged until 6:55. When I got to the window the man told me that I could apply but wouldn’t get the money until tomorrow because it’s his turn to pick up his kid and he wasn’t supposed to close!!!! In the mean time, I wasted time standing there not knowing this, and all the other stores in my area closed in the mean time. I was in tears begging for him to help me and he said it’s not his problem and they open at 8am tomorrow. This is unacceptable to me. I worked at a payday lending center for many years and know the process doesn’t take more than 15 minutes or so (reason why I got there as soon as I could before closing). I told the man, through tears, my situation and I understand he has responsibilities as well, but I am more than mad about the way I was treated!

They know people get into a bind that is why they come to the establishment. I tried to get them to work with me and they reimbursed and put my account overdrawn, I think they should have more leniency, by signing a new contract. I will never recommend them to anyone.

Theres times when this service is necessary, may or may not be for you. But it's a service,just as any other,staff does their job,never had problems. Of course if you borrow anything you have to pay back. Way better than family borrowing,and hearing about it forever.

The worst. Do they get paid to play around? Checksmart is wonderful, but this place is extremely slow and don't great people walking in door. They seem very unprofessional. Never coming here again. Try Livonia or canton or the one on telegraph, they have been around along time

Have never had a problem cashing anything here. Once the teller forgot to hand me back my ID as im walking down gratiot I hear someone call me and its the teller with my ID. Was super awesome.

This place is not only a life saver but they literally have the best people working there! They have helped me and my family for years, they are professional, informative, fast, along with giving out great customer service. From loans, check cashing, pre-paid cards services, taxes etc. You name it they got it and I’ve used it lol. They run a very high volume store with just a handful of people led by a great manager whose been there forever. This place is simply amazing and I would and will continue to recommend people to this 1 stop shop.

Lady at the front Desk ask for unnecessary information just to cash a small check. When you have all the information you need in your hand. It makes no sense.

I went into check smart to get a loan.. They offered me the insight card.. But now when u want to apply for a payday loan they are saying u can't use the card.. If I couldn't use the card why would u offer it. The location itself is great the people are nice but the company is horrible they advertise one thing and do another thank god I get paid in one day... I will never use them for a loan

I would stay away!!!! I got a loan here and had them print me a check for the 1st time, all other times I wrote a check... they cashed the check they printed and it happen to come out of my Wifes bank account not mine.. causing her account to bounce a lot of checks costing me over $200 in overdrafts.. I called them to let them know it came out of the wrong account and they did not want to fix this because they got their money.. so my wife called the bank and still had to pay over drafts but they took the money back from check smart.. Now I told them I will pay them when I get paid even though it was the mistake of Check Smart. they proceeded to put it to collections and added fees to it. I called them and all the lady kept saying is unfortunately we cant do anything... all I asked was the fee be waved and I would pay... Bottom line.... the workers are lazy and costed me twice the loan amount in bounce fees because when I updated my account for 2017 they never took my wifes account from 2016 off there after I asked them to and kept her account info and my info in the system... Be careful they also hold all bank account info in the system and can pull unauthorized money out.... I'm proof of that!!!! And if Check Smart wants to know the name of the person making this post its... SCOTT STANLEY (This took place 10am 5-10-2017 When I called Check smart To fix this. "My Due Date")

The Manager Craig and his staff was very helpful assisting me to cash a check as an POA no problem, thank you again for assistance
