Check City E Broad St, Richmond

Cleaning up and being in a hurry an hour before they close, DO NOT come here. I GAVE THEM ALL MY INFO!!!. kept me in the check cashing place for 40 minutes to tell me that they can’t cash my LEGIT CHECK. Now it’s 7:45 and there no check cashing place around walking distance, tomorrow is thanksgiving. I was really relying on these people to give me money so I can do thanksgiving shopping now I can’t. They couldn’t tell me right away. Do not come here

I understand that most of the reviews will be bad because they are turning people down a lot. But I have been using them for cashing my check for 6 months now and I love them! Everyone is very welcoming and friendly!

After I got my loan. I went back before my loan was due to make a payment or get a payment extension. Check City employee talked to me like I have no sense. She told me let her talk and i not say a word She wouldn't allow me to ask any questions so I could understand exactly what I had to do next. I was prepared to pay on my loan and make a payment arrangement since i came so far to take care of this business. I left the building because i know i was going to leave there still confused. I prefer to deal with another Check City. This is the first time time i dealt with this store. I've never had any problems with the other Check City

The staff was great what i don’t like is now they talking about a credit check I never knew they did that just for a payday loan it’s not like I’m asking for a line of credit

So all the young ladies and Alicia the manager have been so caring, helpful and understanding over the past 5-6 years the company is also good whenever there was a problem to pay back they have been helpful and worked out reasonable terms/ A good business run by caring people

I don't understand the negativity regarding this location that I am reading. I've been going here for years to purchase money orders and more recently to use their ATM. The staff has always been friendly, courteous, professional and pleasant. My bank doesn't have a local ATM so I prefer going here because it's inside and of such a design that I don't have to worry about ATM skimmers. I will continue to use their services and have recommended them to others.

When asked over the phone whether they are set up to cash personal checks, they informed me only that they are. They failed entirely to mention the additional information they required to do so, costing me yet another trip on foot after an already long day. Zero tolerance for wasting so much as a second of my time.

I went to this store to fax some pages. My money was collected up front which I thought was odd as this was not the case at their store on Hull street. I wondered what would happen if the fax did not go thru but didn't really care about it. After a few minutes of waiting, I was advised the pages had to be re faxed because they did not go thru. The representative then came to me with a report stating my pages went through. She stated I could tell because the number I was sending the fax to was reflected at the bottom. I asked for a fax confirmation and was advised they do not give one. When I explained this was not the case in the south side store the representative became rude. I went to the south side store and re faxed my document. I received my confirmation and requested they fax to the Broad street store the fax confirmation page. I then called the store to ask if the fax was received and advised the representative that this was the page I was talking about. She then stated " they have an updated fax machine". This was an insult to my intelligence as all fax machines can print a confirmation page so I hung up. The representative then called my phone back and once I answered she hung up on me. I will be filing a complaint with the district manager regarding this incident. This was my first and last time visiting this store on Broad street. Their representatives did not get the message that they were supposed to be upholding Check City's promise -- "We promise to serve you the very best we know how and to let you make the decisions. We care about our customers." To all reading this go to the store in south side. The ladies there provide excellent customer service. They go the extra mile to put a smile on your face and make you feel at ease. I will go to this store for all of my needs.

I have always received the utmost courteous respectful dervice when doing business at this location. Tellers are very knowledgeable and always are very prompt. Would recommend to others.
