Chase Bank San Pablo Ave, El Cerrito

I go to this branch to deposit for my company which I can usually do from the very slow ATMs outside, but today a bill was rejected and given back to me. I went inside to try to deposit, but when the teller could not figure out why it was rejected, she called who I assume was the floor manager for help. The woman who was now helping looked at me and said to her associate that it is probably a counterfeit bill without testing it first (I feel you shouldn't throw such an accusation out in the air like that until you know for sure). The woman proceeded to look at it and say that the bill was contaminated with blood (don't know how she came up with that conclusion) but said that they wouldn't take the bill. No other words were given, the original teller that initially helped me said sorry. Rather than escalate the situation I left. I defiantly be calling in a complaint also.

I came to this Bank branch today to take advantage of an account upgrade offer I received by mail, I arrived around 1:45pm and was asked to wait to talk to someone. I waited and waited and at 2:55pm a lady came and announced to me and the other several waiting people that this bank branch doesn't have a banker. They had two, one left his job yesterday, and the other is fully booked till Friday when he will be going on vacation. She even couldn't give me an appointment for a month from now. I asked why did they have us wait this long if they knew that they don't offer bankers, and they said that they were too busy to notify their customers of this. Baaad service.

This is probably the worst customer service i have ever experienced in my life. Went to this branch to open up a bank account and was told that we needed to make an appointment for next day. So, next day I reach there on time, they made me wait 30 minutes just to get into the office. After few minutes into the office, Euel gets a call saying I was double booked so I had to leave. He told me to make an account online which was apparently lot faster. Why did they not mention that when I first went there.They just wasted so much of our time for nothing.

This branch is horrible and profiling people. Despite the proper and necessary identifications, we were unable to open new account, they simply judge you by how you look and dress and your profession not knowing how much money you have… Really bad experience and worst customer service at this branch.

Chase is the worlds biggest funder of fossil fuel infrastructure, a quarter of a Trillion dollars since the Paris Accord was signed in 2016. Our beautiful state is on fire. We Californians know that this is the result of the massive mining, processing, transporting and burning of fossil fuels. Chase is responsible for destroying our future. Divest Now. Cooperative Federal Credit Union in Berkeley or Beneficial Bank in Oakland are good choices.

Terrible Customer Service - My Mom had an account - and as her trustee I was given the run around for 2 months before I could unfreeze her account even though they had me as trustee on the account. No one is trained properly and everything is sent to New York for review. The last straw was bringing in a form they requested I complete and being told I needed to make an appointment and come back again to turn it in - with a banker who was no longer at that branch.

I'm not sure why everyone else is complaining, however I've been banking with chase for years and as long as I can remember I have been treated with dignity and respect, especially when I have Monica as my representative. Thanks Chase Bank for providing over 10 years of great service.

Supper bad costumer service will never go back to this location ever again. I was making a deposit for my my husbands businesses and the teller that helped me made me feel like a theif having an extrager debit cards. I just felt so descriminated against. I hope someone can pay close attention to what this employees is doing

Most of the employees seem quite nice but the floor manager was mean and rude from the moment I walked in the bank. I felt bad as a watched a person get scolded and humiliated. It also seemed as if the manager did not let her employees do her job. I usually go to a different chase but was in El Cerrito. It was an awful experience.

Go to the location in Berkeley instead. I applied for a credit card online and was told to go into a chase location to upload a document as proof of address. When I arrived they had no idea what I was talking about and said you can't have a banker upload documents. I was told I have to sign up for a credit card there through their banker and get my credit ran again. Went to the Berkeley location and they uploaded my proof of address in less than 5 minutes no questions asked.
