Chase Bank W Center St, Manteca

After waiting in the teller line for about 15 minutes as there was no account managers to ask about opening a new bank account I was told they didn’t have anyone who could assist me today with that and I could either go online and open an account or make an appointment. If I wanted to open an account online I wouldn’t have bothered with driving and waiting in line for someone to help me at the branch. Mind you I got there before 12pm noon and the branch doesn’t close until 4pm. If they could only assist walk in customers who only needed minimal teller assistance maybe they should place a sign in front of their door stating this vs people waiting in a long line to basically be told we have no one to help you, go away. Branch is understaffed and apparently not equipped to help the customer. Disappointing.

Slooowwwww. Their pretending to care is not very believable. Are they trying to compete with the poor quality of the Wells Fargo across the street? Sad.

Keep getting $14.00 utility charge on zero balance. I paid it every month on the 6th even though I never use card. Cannot even get help to cancel credit card. Now I know why they are called Chase because impossible to get hold of.

Went in to set up a new checking account. While filling out the application stuff where you scroll through and check the boxes I guess I got ahead of myself where the teller rudely made comments for my mistake. Treated me like a kid. Would not recommend this Chase to anyone I'm never going back to this branch. At the beginning the teller was nice but by the end it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Don't use the ATM inside unless you want nosy people looking at your info from behind. It's literally right in front of the line for the reception window and the audio is set on high.

You can't open a new account today.... you have to make a appointment. Or go online. So the lady with the tablet that dose nothing to help you is there to tell you to go online. Put the tablet down and work for God's sake. Horrible bank.

I read many of the reviews for this bank and the majority of reviews are based off of wait times and assumptions of what employees are doing when not attending a customer. These types of reviews are not valid. The following review is based off of facts with my visit this afternoon. The site was well kept and there was a greeter at the entrance. She was very polite and attentive. The site was clean and well kept. I was third in line with two tellers working behind the glass. As I mentioned above, wait times should not be a factor in reviews, quality of customer service is key. As I was next, the teller Tracey was kind, courteous and professional. She was very informative and assisted me with two things. Of which she was very informative and descriptive of benefits that chase has to offer. Tracey, keep up the great work, positive attitude and outstanding customer service.

January of this year, my identity was taken. The people who took it must of lived in north Stockton they went to the same branch on March Ln. they would deposit fake checks into the account. Went to the branch in Lathrop, the Manager looked at me like I was writing these checks. I proceeded to call customer service. Nothing. About 2 or 3 times a week I would call customer service an would wont to speak to the fraud depart. March I got a letter from Chase stating You are to stop paying on your judgment if you have one, stop paying collection it you are in collections. I call to make sure it was true which it was. Now the collection is chase bank it self. they called me I told them the issue and they told me so we still want the money. so now August I have a civil case against Chase for harassment.

For about a year, Chase Bank in Manteca on Center St. has the policy of NOT accepting cash. So, when I wish to put money into any of my children's accounts, I must go and get a Money Order or Cashier's Check. Last time this cost me $5.00 when I already had the $100.00 bill which Chase would not accept!! The clerk told me that most places do this. THIS IS NOT TRUE!!!!! Wells Fargo, Golden Vally Credit Union, and Bank of Stockton all take cash!!!!!!!!!!! This is not a good policy and it has changed my mind about establishing any account with them.

Very rude on the phone. Not willing to help because they claim they had 3 customers in line in their branch. I asked if I wait on hold until they finish their 3 customers they could assist me and they said no we are busy. It was a simple transaction lookup!? I agree with the other reviewers - stay far away from this branch & their staff.
