I have had difficulty liquidating my late wife's substantial account through this firm. I was named as the sole beneficiary of the account and after contacting and visiting their offices in order to facilitate this request, they proceeded to force me to open an account with them for tax reasons. I filled out several lengthy forms and mailed them in. After a couple of weeks, I was subsequently contacted by a vice president, who asked me to come in and visit with him about where to place my investments in the account. He apparently, knew nothing about my request for liquidation. When I informed him that i wanted it closed, he abruptly cut off the phone conversation. Two more weeks went by and nothing happened. I finally called over the their offices again and was informed that the people processing the request did not know I had opened an account and had not done anything. . To date, Charles Schwab has stalled closing my wife's account for over a month. I am not a happy camper.

This is a financial institution. They have zero atm fees for a reason. They don't carry any currency in their institution, but will allow you to deposit via money order, check or free transfer and you are refunded a credit at the end of the month for any fee charged for using an atm that charges. No international atm fees so if you're studying abroad, or vacationing outside the US, this is a must!!!

DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS COMPANY! We tried to get help with our money through this company but they kept giving us the run around . So now we are being evicted. They say they will step in and help when we need it but they don't. I put in my paper the apartment gave me but it wasnt enough for them.

CHARLES SCHWAB ARE CROOKS! DO NOT USE THEM. THEY WILL TALE YOUR MONEY, CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT AND FORCE YOU TO PURCHASE A $500 CERTIFICATE TO KEEP WHATS ALREADY YOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY GIVE NO EXPLANATION AS THEY BLANKET THE CAUSE UNDER " A BUSINESS DECISION", LEAVING YPU WITH HARDSHIP. GOOGLE IT (CLOSED ACCOUNT AS A BUSINESS DECISION), YOULL SEE

I came here to withdraw money but was told that this is an investment bank so you cannot withdraw money or do other types of transactions like you do at other typical banks.
