I have to say that dealing with this company was a terrible experience. There was a delay with the second mortgage and the office Manager was flippant from the first time I spoke with him. After day 2 of a delayed closing I calmly told him that they are dealing with people here and it’s difficult for me since I had to arrange for childcare to close. He said “I guarantee that talking to me this way isn’t going to get your loan to close” at that point I asked him what he meant. I asked if he was going to delay my closing because I asked him that question. He backed away from his Initial threat. I asked him the name of his superior and he let me know he is the only superior there because he is the office manager. He then said if I don’t like the way they are doing things that I should go find another loan. Unfortunately, I couldn’t delay closing any longer so I had to do business with this awful company. But please, save yourself the frustration and run far from this company. Unless you’re okay with disrespect.

This Company is absolute garbage! There is no consideration for their clients or deadlines. We are now at 56 days since signing our contract and Certified Funding still can't commit to a closing date. We have missed two closing dates already are now being penalized as a result. Information is being requested 2 and 3 times and not to mention that the information is completely irrelevant to the transaction and ability to pay a note.

Theresa told me that I needed a DTI of 45% or under. I had a 44%, so we proceeded. She neglected to tell me that number included the pool payment. If I would have known this it would have been a one minute conversation. Instead, she runs my credit and tells me that I would know in 48 hours or less. Two days go by, I call, she needs more info from me. A week later I have to call once again and she tells me that my DTI is too high. Gee, you think? So she runs my credit, then I get denied. Because of her my credit just took a nose dive.

I had a great experience with Certified Funding. I'd use them again, and will recommend them to anyone who asks about getting funded for a pool. Their staff was friendly, and did everything they said they were going to.

Horrible experience as well, they have an attitude issue and the person they refer for appraisals takes forever to complete a basic dry by.

I inquired about a closing and if they had any records. The lady hung up on me intentionally twice, then didn't answer the third call back,

Could not have been a better experience. A friend referred me to Certified Funding for a pool loan. I had already receive quotes from two other lenders, but Teresa was by far the best to work with and had the best rates. Teresa kept me up to date with progress and made the entire process very easy. I highly recommend Certified Funding for any type of home improvement loan.

As a mortgage professional I recommended Certified due to their competitive rates but unbeknownst to me they don't calculate income by the industry standard and declined my loan the day after the CD was supposed to go out in order for us to close on time. Initially they issued an approval but took it back basically removing the rental income they had previously approved us using. DO NOT USE CERTIFIED FUNDING!!!

DO NOT USE THEM FOR A LOAN!!! There are MUCH better options out there! Stick with a financial institution that actually knows what they are doing.
