This pawn is awesome for music gear. I am a local music creation/producer. I always buy and pawn gear to keep current, they always have some thing i need. Great place for musicians to upgrade their studio equipment. Also they have a great firearms dept. every time i shopped, they carried what i needed. again great place

My review is just from a browsing point of view. I did not buy anything or attempt to sell or pawn at this time. This place is ginomous for a pawn shop. They have a large gun section, music section with everything. Drums, guitars, amps, recording equipment etc. Tools, jewelry, toys, signed stuff and more movies DVD, Blu-ray etc that you can shake a stick at. Prices were fair across the board. Some could use to be better, but for the most part priced about right. Most of the items were in good condition.

Convenient location, clean store, nice selection, and nice sales associates, but DO NOT BUY ANY MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS there. They are overpriced and they do not care for them. Every solid top guitar we saw had at least one crack in it because they don’t humidify them, which is essential in our dry climate. A crack devalues a guitar, but they’re still overpricing them. This is relatively and unfortunately common in pawn shops, however.

I went in looking for a set of powered monitors and saw a really nice 212 guitar cabinet with a price marked 299.99. After inspecting the cabinet and noticing it was loaded with some really good Celestion speakers, I decided to make them an offer of 150.00. They counter offered at 250.00 but I stuck to my original offer just to see what would happen. They would not come down any lower than 250.00. I went home and started doing some research on the speaker cabinet. Not only is this particular cabinet very rare and hard to find, but it also has some of the highest ratings on various guitar forums. Not to mention it matched my 412 cabinet perfectly. I felt like it would be foolish not to try to aquire this cabinet. I contacted them and made an offer of 200.00 out the door, They accepted the offer. As for their cusomer service, The man that I dealt with was the same guy that used to work at the Cactus and I-17 store. He was extremely helpful and nice to deal with. I think his name is Jim. He even carried it out to my car and had we a nice conversation about various gear. To the people who think all pawn shops are the same have not shopped at Central Pawn. I will be back.

Place is very unProfessional never opens or closes when they say and advertise! I’d avoid this often empty and uncaring establishment closing a whole 20 minutes earlier, and At times not even opening

Used to be good but I had pawned a working (practically new in box) Nintendo Switch which I didn't pick up then one day after going there for years I went to pawn something and the guy went to go get the cash then came back and said I couldn't pawn there no more because they sold the switch then the guy that bought it returned it in a non working condition so they said the device was faulty/bad and they "lost money". I dont see how this was possible when they tested it before I pawned it and the guy who purchased it also tested it and was working when he bought it from them so it was rediculous that they blocked me from being able to pawn there.

I spent around $1000.00 in here a couple weeks ago. Not only did the guy (who wasnt even helping me) walked up and opened my new gun but also pulled it out and looked at it. His co-worker even told him it was inappropriate but he pulled it out and told me how nice it was anyway. When my car was towed I went in talked to the same guy who pulled it out and explained my situation. NOT ONLY WAS HE RUDE and basically laughed at me, but also chuckled and offered me a loan for less than a 1/4 of what i paid them for it. Even though it was still in the box and unfired. I tried to talk to him and he proceeded to say how it wasnt worth hardly anything since it was open out of the box and because I left the store with it. I do alot of buying at pawn shops. Have even recovered everything ive EVER pawned here. ONE THING IS FOR SURE THIS WONT BE MY LOCAL GO TO AND ILL MAKE SURE EVERYONE KNOWS HOW THEY TREAT YOU. GREAT IMPRESSION FOR SOMEONE NEW TO THE AREA!!!!
