Centennial was the first lender we contacted in our attempt to secure a mortgage. A realtor suggested we speak with Dawn, who seemed nice and helpful initially. Our file was sent to underwriting, then when I started to inquire as to progress a couple weeks later she would only say it was taking more time. I called Centennial a couple times after that and was told her assistant would get back to me, but that person never did. Centennial ghosted us. No more communication, no apologies. And we DID close on a house with another lender just last week. Our (successful) lender got us a preapproval in 48 hours. Did Centennial believe we didn't qualify for any mortgage? If so the very least they could have done would have been to reach out and let us know. Extremely poor customer service, non-existent really. I would never recommend them and in fact would actively dissaude anyone from doing so. We will enjoy our new home, no thanks to Centennial.
