I worked with Skyler Ford to purchase my first home. I am in Hawaii but Skyler was even knowledgeable of the market here. He was interested in my long term financial goals. He made sure I understood every single thing. He did not rush me through the process at all. If he heard hesitancy in my voice he made sure to educate me thoroughly. He was very responsive and supportive. I honestly did not feel like a customer like with other lenders and brokers. I highly recommend him for your home purchase!

This group keeps the ball rolling, especially with underwriters, more than I've seen with other firms. I just closed a loan with Eric and team, and it went about as smoothly as I could expect and got good terms. The timeline was extremely short, but they pulled through! Everyone is nice and courteous, quite knowledgeable. There were a few communication hickups here and there, a lot of information is requested, some of it redundant, some of it not needed in the end. But overall it was better than I expect from this type of business. Eric is a good partner to have on your court on a purchase. He's quite knowledgeable about the industry and was able to suggest accelerated timelines that likely had an influence on my offer getting accepted. I will definitely recommend him to friends.

I've worked with Celebrity to get two different home loans. The first was a simple 30-year fixed at a phenomenal interest rate and was able to close well within the 30 days for escrow. Celebrity's underwriter POC for my loan seemed to ask a lot of questions about information they already had access to, which was a mild annoyance, but fine to deal with for such a great interest rate. The first loan experience was overall great and that's why I went with Celebrity a second time. My second experience with the same team was almost a complete nightmare. Celebrity had a loan product for a 30 year fixed with little money down that seemed to be a good fit for my new home purchase and that product was not something many loan providers were willing to give my family. The escrow period was 45 days for the new home, so this should have been easily done, right? No - Celebrity was several days late in closing the loan and didn't seem to be doing much until much of the escrow period had passed. Celebrity's underwriter seemed to be coming up with new actions each day that were increasingly ridiculous or easily answerable based on information they had access to through Celebrity's online portal. I think these actions were provided to my wife, myself, and the escrow officer to hide the fact that they were unable to do their part to finish the loan on time. The underwriter also was unresponsive or rude (thank you email chains) to several key parties involved in my new home purchase, including the escrow officer, the escrow officer's assistant, my realtor, my wife, and myself. Since I was able to sell my old home during the 45 day escrow period for the new home and the new home's escrow and old home's escrow were supposed to have been synchronized, I had to find alternative housing arrangements for me and my family, including 2 kids under age two, for about a week, as we were homeless. Thankfully, my mover was able to hold the items they were to move to the new house for no charge or I would've had to pay for storage and another move possibly. My second loan experience with Celebrity gives me pause about working with them again if I were to ever need another home loan. The lack of professionalism of some of their staff and inability to execute on time created a great deal of frustration for my family. In the end, I did get my new home loan and am grateful to Celebrity Home Loans for helping me get my new home despite the annoyances and hardship along the way. My first experience with Celebrity and the fact that I was able to get a loan not easily offered my second time with Celebrity is the reason that I am giving 3 stars rather than 1.

Del made the process super easy and was always clear on what the process was. He was very helpful with any questions that came up and he was able to get us some great interest rates on our refinance. We weren't sure how doing business long distance would be, but it was easier then I could of imagined and much faster. We will definitely be using Del for any further loan needs. Highly recommend!

I was using unconventional funding from cryptocurrency gains over the 2021 year. This proved to be rather difficult to get documents and create a acceptable paper trail for the source of funds I used as a down payment. Scott B. at Celebrity Home Loans really went the extra mile to help me understand the documents I needed to provide, and also help his side understand the documents well enough that I was able to complete this transaction successfully. I’m a first-time buyer, I had to make a purchase quickly, in an unfamiliar market, at a time when housing prices are rapidly increasing here, and demand is outpacing supply significantly. Casey, and his team of people, are absolutely outstanding. His assistant loan officer, Brandon, is a BEAST. I mean this sincerely—I was blown away by how knowledgeable and professional they are. They helped me close my first house in 3 weeks, seamlessly, getting me a great rate, and helping me formulate a plan to maximize my investment. This is the best mortgage company out there! Tim and Leona with Heritage Home Loans in Spokane went above and beyond every step of the way. I had to switch lenders while the final docs were getting reviewed for clear to close because the other lender was being unrealistic with their doc requests and delays every step of the way. As soon as Tim and his team took over, the loan closed in 2 1/2 weeks. If you are in the Spokane area, this is the place to go!

My wife and I recently purchased our first home here in Orange County. However, this wasn’t the first time I’ve been through a home loan process. Just last year I worked with 3 different lenders trying to refinance a home we inherited a portion of. That 11 months were some of the most stressful and anxiety-ridden months of my life, and I had my first child last year… All that to set the stage for the amazing experience we had with Sean McDowell and his team. It was a huge departure from what I had experienced previously. Sean and his whole team were so friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. We met Sean in early 2020 but didn’t actually engage his services until March/April of this year, yet he remained a consummate professional each time we spoke with him. Honestly, Team McDowell were so efficient that this whole loan process felt completely different and satisfying to what I’d previously experience. No question was too silly, and Sean in particular made sure to make himself available to us on weekends and evening if we ever needed him. A really simple but great touch was the delicious box of cookies that were sent to us once we’d been approved for our loan. Totally unexpected but a really nice touch! We are extremely grateful to Team McDowell for making this process as painless and, dare I say, fun, as possible. This was the worst experience ever!! My loan officer was more interested in keeping the sellers agent happy because he get referrals from him, that he had me close in a parking lot because I had Covid in the sun with 102 temperature! Why he thought it was okay to bring me out of quarantine while I’m sick with Covid is beyond me but apparently the sellers agent was way more important to him. I would never recommend this company to a friend or even enemy! This company does not care about its customers by any Stretch of the imagination!

Would highly recommend working with Jason Fleming. He was fun, fast and communicative and I'm very pleased with the experience and the results.

We recently bought a house with the help of David. We closed and got a relatively good deal on the sale while working with our team to ensure a smooth closing. However, I think it is important to note that David was not a helpful part of the process. David did start strong with us, providing us with personalized videos and really taking the time to explain the processes and intricacies of our loan. He was available via phone and email all the time which was super helpful and appreciated. As we moved towards closing, David appeared to be on a completely different page than us (the buyers) and our realtor. David single handedly delayed our closing and when we asked him to resolve the issue he threw us under the bus, undermining our credibility by saying we weren’t ready for closing. He cost us a significant amount of money and felt it was within his role to provide bargaining ideas on our behalf to the sellers that we had not approved. He also seemed to be working on a different set of rules than we, or our realtor, had ever witnessed. He was unable to close in a timely manner, unable to get us a better rate as we neared closing, and unable to work with us and our realtor in a professional manner. Overall, David was a disappointment and did not seem confident or knowledgeable in his field. He let us down and we wouldn’t recommend him for your lending needs. As for the rest of the Neo team, Martha was the only one who seemed committed to working with us to close on our home. She was efficient, helpful, organized and responsible. Thank you Martha!
